This is a series I'm starting, I did some research, I'm not gonna say I was 100% thorough, and tried my best with each princess. Some of them were easy, some were harder than others. I won't talk about Anna and Elsa because 1. I hate to say it but it's hard to pin Elsa anywhere and 2. The less princesses to write about, the easier for me. Let's go.

Snow White-Earth
She was difficult because she shows aspect of water, fire and earth. Ultimately I went with the latter, Snow White is motherly, practical and the most grounded classic princess. She's doesn't have her mind in the clouds as much. Snow is very much a mother hen who sets rules that must be followed. She is firm but fair, innocent but mature and fun but diligent. Snow White thinks long term plans, sets goals for herself and does not rest until they are achieved. She values hard work and commitment. Snow is also very stubborn and set in her ways, she shall not moved. When talking about her love, she alludes to wedding bells, meaning she's interested in a long term relationship. Earth represents steady structure, Snow White enters the dwarfs' home and whips them into shape.

Cinderella-Water
She was also somewhat difficult, showing traces of water, earth and air. She is hard working but she's far too dreamy to be earth. Cinderella is calm, dreamy, soft spoken and graceful. She moves down the channels nature made for her. Cinderella follows the paths that life chooses for her, not that she has much of a say in the matter. She will change course only when forced to. However, she remains calm and collected under these situations. Tides turn and waves form due to outside factors, Cinderella's actions are usually driven by external elements, when this happens, like water, she rushes. When the environment is settled she remains quiet and composed. Cinderella's a more cool laid back go with the flow type of person. The very essence of Water elements and what they represent.

Aurora-Water
She's even more of a Water element than Cinderella. Aurora is dreamy, romantic, regal, calm and sensitive, all traits associated with water. She carries herself with a stride similar to her element. There's also a sense of mystery and mysticism to her character which again has to do with water. Aurora goes with the flow and follows the stream formed for her. She's the prime example of a hopeless romantic and an endless dreamer. Aurora's very in touch with her feelings and as a result she's extremely overemotional. Water is considered a precious resource, throughout the film Aurora's well being is constantly the main source of conflict.

Ariel-Fire
Of course it would be nice if she were water or at least air but alas she's Fire. Ariel is impulsive, determined, reckless and extremely passionate. She is lustful and flirtatious, which is common for Fire. She also likes to be dazzled and amazed, when she's not entertained, she's miserable and her flame burns out. Ariel enjoys taking risks and values fun, spontaneity and vibrancy. Ariel does what she want when she wants to. She doesn't let anything stand in her way and asserts herself greatly for her desires. Ariel is unpredictable and hard to tame, she throws caution to the wind and lives for the thrill of adventure. While she has good intentions, her actions can be dangerous and cause severe consequence, much like Fire. However, Ariel lights up the lives of those she touches.

Belle-Air
Belle is intuitive, inquisitive and intellectual. Air is considered to be the most intellectual, the element of thinkers. Belle is smart, open minded and a free thinker. She's more easy going and clear headed. She wants more out of life but she's content where she is, as long as she has a book to escape to. Belle knows how to manipulate a conversation, capable of multitasking and prefers to be stimulated mentally. She refuses to be tied down by what society and people like Gaston expect of her, similar to how free winds cannot be contained. She's curious and analytical, nothing entices her more than intrigue but she's free spirited, wishing to expand her horizons. Belle is a young lady who values the power of the mind, being clear minded but also free minded.

Jasmine-Fire
She is very much the Fire element. Jasmine is vivacious, aggressive, seductive and hot tempered. Fire's are natural born leaders, Jasmine asserts her authority as a princess and wields her power as a woman. She is confident and sure of herself, she knows what she wants and is outspoken about her desires. Jasmine is rebellious and has no problem expressing her anger. She is stimulated by more spontaneous and bold romantic gestures. She's sultry and sensual. She demands respect where warranted and control over her own destiny. Jasmine is warm and inviting but blunt, like Fire, she is a beautiful sight but a danger when mistreated.

Pocahontas-Water
She was difficult, because she shows aspects of all four elements. Pocahontas is bold, wise and free minded but she's also very spiritual and dreamy. She's in tune with her feelings and surroundings, therefore she's very emotional and sensitive. She's graceful and gentle but also gloomy when upset. Pocahontas is constantly seeking guidance from outside elements to send her down the right path. She takes things to heart and prefers to go with the flow rather than being steady. Poca is possesses qualities of all elements but Water seems to fit her most, she stays fluid and leveled but not steady and firm like earth, she's stays on one course unlike air and she represents calmness and peace unlike fire. Pocahontas is fun loving but she enjoys being alone with her feelings and pays great attention to her dreams.

Mulan-Air
While Mulan shows signs of being an earth element, for the most part she's Air. This shines through in her way of thinking, Mulan is cunning, resourceful and level headed. She does not have a process but she's a very capable thinker. Mulan's ideas tend to be radical and outlandish but clever nonetheless, this indicates a free yet intelligent mind. She looks solely at the big picture and only deals with the details when she reaches them. Mulan does not respond well to being force into a role and is only confident when she is allowed to act and think freely. Only then can she come up with her best ideas and express herself. The other elements are more constant, Air is ever changing direction. Mulan has quite a few transformations throughout her journey.

Tiana-Earth
She's a realist, practical and of course down to earth. Tiana is diligent, grounded and stubborn to a fault, a prime example of an Earth element. She values home and family, and holds those life lessons close to her heart. Tiana's responsible, ambitous and goal oriented. She has her life planned out and has her sights set firmly on her goals. Tiana is very mature, which is also associated with Earth. She's also a stick in the mud that hates to be dragged out of her comfort zone. She's rational and isn't into wishing. Tiana's feet are strictly planted on the ground and her head is nowhere near the clouds. She is very much Earth, the most grounded element.

Rapunzel-Air
She's another princess who has aspects of all four. In the end, she's Air. Rapunzel is carefree and simplistic, she's eager but not determined, she's free spirited but not rebellious. She's great at multitasking, her interests are vast and endless. Rapunzel is very adaptable and quite faceted so she's constantly changing direction easily, this is very much related to Air. She also goes through a transformation near the end of her journey. She values her freedom and has her head in the clouds. Though she's content with whatever her circumstance is but will still change her situation on her own accord. Rapunzel, like the Air, is full of life and brings joy where ever she goes. She spreads the love.

Merida-Fire
Merida's impulsive, headstrong, energetic, and aggressive. She asserts her independence and her right to do what she wants. Merida's wild, rebellious and she enjoys more high energy dangerous activities. She's very sure of what she wants and has no interest in even considering what others want for her. She is courageous and confident and shows some leadership skills near the end of the film. Merida's actions can be hurtful but beneficial nonetheless, just like Fire.

Since it's Valentine's Day soon I decided to write a few articles relating to that and I decided to do a list of my favorite DP Couples, fittingly enough the last time I did this list was around this time last year, since then my list has changed a slight bit. Hope you'll like this article

11. Mulan & Shang

Imo they're more best friends than a couple, their first meeting is hilarious though and I love how Mulan isn't afraid to show off her feelings for Shang in a subtle way and how Shang chose to not kill Mulan despite the fact that women wheren't allowed in the army, it shows that...

I know we've probably had an excess of these over the last few months, but I don't care. In my humble opinion, there can never be too many articles defending Walt's girls. I believe Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora just as much praise and recognition as any of the Modern or Renaissance princesses. The three classic Princesses receive a large amount of criticism. They include "weak", "passive", "need a man to save them", "boring", "do nothing", "need a man to save them", among others (that last reason is so incredibly stupid and sexist). These "arguments" are beyond cliché, mind-numbing,...

Hey everyone! The classic Disney films had such a knack for capturing the splendor and wonder of magic so I thought I'd rate all the DP films to see which ones are the most magical.
For this, I took the 5 most likely elements of magic in the Disney Princess films and added 1 category for the awareness of each 6 elements. This is because the more prominent magic would be in a story (or the world in the story), the more people should be aware of the magic as it would be hard to miss. Here are the 12 put together:

1. Magical Powers- Meaning that magic can be done without the use of items (like wands)...

Hi everyone!

Recently, I posted a question asking fans to list five personality traits most desirable in a Disney princess. My traits poll, which was going to be the foundation of this article, was based on TheMusicalMolls' list of traits; the first response. I didn't bother to check my question again for other responses, but when I returned to my question after I posted the poll, I was surprised to see that more fans had bothered to answer my question. At that point, it was only a handful of people, and since I found their lists highly similar to TheMusicalMolls', I let it be. I hope I didn't...

Here's my quick ranking on original DP films in part 1 of this article series. Part 2 will follow with all the sequels, prequels and shorts. Hope you'll enjoy it!

12. Princess and the frog:
I found the script to be very lazily written, with no wow moments to remember and no surprising twists. The movie crawled at deathly slow pace, making me skip scenes in between. The animation was pretty average with nothing memorable except a few scenes in bayou and death of Dr. Facilier. I found the sett ups to be unflattering and lacked the Disney magic feel to it. The best set-up from the entire movie was...

I'm sorry but I disagree with each side. I mean I agree with each side but I don't. I think both sides of the argument are taking things way too far, and it doesn't need to.

Frozen fans need to just accept that not everyone likes this movie and Frozen haters need to learn that they are being just as rude as the Frozen fans and they just need to stop.

Both sides really need to stop because they're ruining this movie for me. They already ruined Elsa for me, and soon, I'll hate the whole thing, even Anna, who's my favorite DP.

Here's my ranking of Disney Prince, barring Prince Hans as he's the DP villain. Hope you'll find it entertaining.

11. Florian:
Apart from singing and showing courtesy and respect to a young maid of lower status, there's literally no interaction and no scenes to understand his personality. It was kind of creepy for me that he'd kiss a supposedly dead maiden. So yeah, he's the last in my list.

10. Naveen:
Spoiled rich brat who didn't even learn after plundering all the ancestoral wealth and thought of fixing it the easy way to find a rich girl to marry. Too flirtatious, too lazy, too laid-back...

I, myself only knew 7 out of 14. Who knows, you might know more than me or know less than me. Either way enjoy reading and absorb the knowledge!

Trivia

1) Production designer Richard Vander Wende devised a simple color scheme for the film, inspired by its desert setting. Blue (water) stands for good, red (heat) for evil, and yellow (sand) is neutral. For example, the villainous Jafar is clad in blacks and reds, while the virtuous Jasmine wears blue. Another example is in the Cave of Wonders, where the lamp's chamber is blue, and the ruby that tempts Abu is bright red.

2) Jasmine was originally...

Rapunzel, anna, and ariel
Did you ever know that Elsa and Anna had a cousin? Well you do now! Elsa and Anna have a cousin and there cousin is Rapunzel. Never knew that? Now you know. Rapunzel is cousins with the sisters Elsa and Anna. Rapunzel seems like she forgot she had cousins. I am not sure about Elsa and Anna if they forgot they had a cousin. How are they cousins? Elsa and Anna's mom is the sister of Rapunzel's mom. Now they are Cousins. Another weird thing. Both shows are created by the same person. I never knew they were cousins till I saw a YouTube show that said they were cousins. Another weird thing. Ariel...

Honorary Mention: Cinderella's Father
Honorary Mention: Cinderella's Father
Okay so I basically grew up without parents in a large sense. That being said, I always yearned for a loving, stable and consistent mother and father to teach morals, values, effective and constructive communication, consequences for actions, real love, respect, trust, honor, etc. Since Walt Disney founded the company under those family and character-based values, I have always been very attached to the Disney brand. That being said, I was thinking about the Disney Princesses' parents and if I could have traded my childhood situation with one of them, which would it be? Since I also love lists...
