I just wanted to share a quick read on my top favorite sidekicks from DP movies. I enjoy sidekicks a lot in DP movies and they have such a heartfelt roles in most movies and beautiful relationships with the leads. They usually are given a good sense of humor or are such awesome friends. I mostly do love them all, but then ranking is always fun and here's my top 10.

10. Angus:
I totally adore him! he's innately bonded with Merida and as much as she enjoys being in wild and free, he does so too. I love how he plays on the mountain top, having fun all by himself by rolling. I love their chemistry - Merida being overzealous to explore and him being a coward at times. I totally love watching them together.

9. Grandmother Willow:
She's a rockstar. What kind of an old lady has such a great sense of humor. I love how mystic she is, wise and funny. A great advisory and a great ear to Pocahontas when needed.

8. Dopey:
Most adorable sidekick ever! I simply can't resist his epic cuteness and a brilliant blend of silly-sweet-fun nature. He's so oblivious to seriousness of life and is like an innocent curious child. I adore the fact that he cannot speak simply because he hasn't tried it ever. Like how much cute can you get. I love all of his funny and silly acts, especially the hiccups! He can conjure fun out of thin air.

7. Pascal:
A great friend and a confidante. I love everything about him. he's funny, coward, clever at times and loyalist. I love how he's totally trying to intimidate Eugene and having a close talk with Rapunzel while she's discussing a plan of how to make a deal with him. I adore how he keeps on indulging Rapunzel over and over, even though he does expresses his exhaustion (that droopy eyed face) when she plays hide-n-seek for the nth time with him. He even tried to stop Gothel in the end, sweet guy, knowing his size. I feel he's the best hope Rapunzel ever got in life.

6. Lumiere:
I love his flamboyant, frivolous and charming persona. He's fun to be around with and keeps you entertained all the time with his conversations. I love the way he has a way of talking, very engaging. I loved him in "Be our guest". I also love that he truly cares even though he seems more superficial and that is how he could suggest Beast to gift Belle library. He has an amazing gift of understanding people in short time. I also admire that while he may have also been shouted at by Beast and felt disappointed and trapped under the spell, but it barely shows on him and he takes life as it comes, making the best of it.

5. Magic Carpet:
I love him as an imaginary character and that it's living-non-living thing/person. It always amazes me how Disney has animated a non-living object and has given him a well defined personality. Selfless, happy to help, enthusiastic, funny, charming and a loyalist. I love how he kisses Jasmine's hand, plucks a flower for her and nudges Aladdin up to kiss her, reading into the situation! I also love how thrilled he was to see Aladdin asking for his help in the cave ( i love that background music of him going hurray XD). And he's smart (or genie is dumb XD), he can play chess!

4. Flounder:
An amazing friend, a true supporter and a complete loyalist. I adore how he rushes to defend Ariel in front of Triton. He looks really cute when he's out of words. And he's always warning Ariel of dangers, yet never leaves her side. And it totally a sweet moment when he gifts Ariel Eric's statue, i was like isn't he the sweetest friend ever! I also just adore how he's into Ariel's dream completely when she's singing part of your world, it would seem that it's his dream too. A genuine friend, that I'd love to have in my life.

3. Abu:
He's funny, sweet, clever, impulsive, problem-solver and a great great friend. I adore his friendship with Aladdin. They truly are street buddies. How they deal everyday with their hard life and still keep the optimism. I love his scenes when he's scolding Aladdin in prison for falling for a girl, and when he's angry that he's sharing his space with her. I completely love how they share their bond and can talk in signals with each other totally. There isn't half the fun in Aladdin if it weren't for the hairy little thief.

2. The 3 good fairies:
The best team in DP movies! Together they are sweet, fun, sassy, wise, caring, nurturing, adorable, smart. Simply put, they are a treat to watch. I love all three but Merryweather a tiny bit more than other two. I completely love her enthu n sass. I have watched their scene where they are preparing for Aurora's 16th birthday surprise a zillion times and it never fails to make me laugh, smile and tug at heart. I totally love their blue vs pink fight, their total disaster of trying to make cake and dress without magic, their scheming against Maleficent. And how can I forget Merryweather turning Diablo into stone, she's so awesome. But above all this wonderful blend of fun and sensible, I love their dedication and pure love towards Aurora. They truly were heartbroken, when they failed to save her from the spell.

1. Genie:
No surprises here, as many would have guessed, Genie truly is unique in every sense and one of the best characters of Disney! I have no extra words that would define him better than what others had already said a million times. he truly does fit his own song, A Friend Like Me, as there's simply no one like him. What I love about his character is his subtle philosophies - oh to be free, tell her the truth, we are talking about love here what's another eternity of servitude; apart from his obvious amazing humor, loyalty and genuine affection that it melts your heart.

Honorable mention
Olaf:

Despite popular opinions of him that he's annoying and has a forced humor, i think he's one of the best character imagined. I love that most of us have made snowman in our childhood and have imagined it to be alive and become our friend, and Disney has made a character out of such a cherished childhood memory with such a brilliant concept of him loving the idea of summer. I think it's an amazing concept altogether. I love his symbolism of representing the deep connection between Anna and Elsa. And I adore his oblivious personality.

Hope you enjoyed reading this. Would love to hear from you all, as always!

Hi everyone!

So I thought that since you often hear a lot of negative things about the Disney Princesses from people on Fanpop that it'd be cool to hear some positive opinions that other Fanpoppers hold.

Maybe it could change a view of yours. Who knows?

Why We Love Snow White:

MaidofOrleans:
I love Snow White for her unending optimism. I would argue that she is the most optimistic of the DPs, and I love her message that "you're the one who can fill the world with sunshine." It's very true and is applicable to every situation in life. I also love how she bosses around the dwarfs. It's super...

5. Mulan's green, black, and brown armor

I was so sad that this was the first outfit to be eliminated. I think Mulan looks so badass in it! However, I can see why users didn't like it since it is an outfit that was made to be functional, not fashionable.

this is not supposed to flatter Mulan, but still a very boring dress if were to wear separately. ~anukriti2409
Well it's a man's armor so...it...

Here's how fans have chosen the favorite wedding dress among Disney princesses.

9. Mulan's Official Wedding Dress (with Prince Jeeki):
In initial round, it was tied with Jasmine's and her wedding dress with Shang. It was surprising to note that while it was a tie, there were hardly any comments for Jasmine's dress.
Finally the tiebreaker results determined the first elimination with Mulan's official wedding dress. Most fans were put off with its unusually big headgear.

SarahCorine: It's definitely cute. I like the colors. But she looks cuter in her other wedding dress. And the hat does...

Okay so I really want to do this, but I really am not going to explain why. Because, well, I believe there is more to liking a princess than just looks. But other than that, I just feel like I'm just going to keep saying "oh she's so pretty" or "I just never found her attractive" over and over again in different words. So, I'm sorry for not leaving a description.

I probably should've put this article on the Fanpop fan club, but this club has been my home for years. It's where I've made a lot of memories, have been part of a community that talks about more than just Disney Princesses, has felt like a family, and has helped me A LOT through the years. So this article being published anywhere else on Fanpop won't do any justice if it's not on this club. So without further delay, here is what being on Fanpop has meant to me.

First of all, it's only fair to say that I did NOT get off to a good start when I first came here. It's embarrassing to talk about...

Nothing on Earth Could Ever Come Between Them!
Nothing on Earth Could Ever Come Between Them!
Hi everyone, for those of you who don't know, both movies share a common theme with each other that I notice! Aside from being the most highest grossing movies ever, here's my review base on my observations.

Titanic

In case you guys might be watching the movie, during the scene where Jack and Fabrizio are playing poker just moments before the ship takes off. The 2 characters to whom they challenge are 2 Swedes name Olaf and Sven, when I watch this scene for the first time in many years. I keep thinking that the 2 Swedes are going to transform into a snowman and reindeer respectively!
The music...

Thought this was really the perfect time for this light read considering which months I think each DP represents the best. :D I did this based on personality and my perception of how those personalities relate to the 4 seasons as well as each month. I hope you guys enjoy! My apologies to non-Americans as this is heavily based on my American connotations with these months especially in regards to American holidays. Hope you guys don't mind!

November: Tiana
Thanksgiving has always been my absolute favorite #1 holiday! I love it because it brings people together over a great meal, just like James'...

Here's my list of Disney Princess couples, it's primarily based on what connected with me in their relationship and what i find admirable. I do have some ifs and buts with few couples but that's just my way of looking at how a relationship grow

1. Mulan and Shang:
Theirs a relation that I actually look up to with great admiration and respect. They both were mature to handle a relationship before falling for each other. Their love grew out of mutual trust, understanding and respect rather than romantic feelings. It is to not say that romantic feelings are not true or valuable, it's my personal...

5. Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs

I noticed that sadness seems to be the most popular emotion among people and it’s understandable, no matter how strong you are, nothing hits you harder than life. True you should try your best to get out of a bad situation but in the process, it’s good to make the best out of it. It’s important to be grateful and remember how blessed you are, a positive attitude goes a long way in order to enjoy your life.

4. Brave

What I really like with Brave is that it’s easy to relate to because disagreements and miscommunication...

Ah, feminism and Disney Princess. Such a complicated relationship. Now I'm not an expert, especially being a guy but the topic of feminism in relation to the DPs has always intrigued me. I'm gonna try my hand at ranking the princesses in terms of agency, independence, heroism and other aspects to figure out which one of them is the most feminist. I'm trying to expand my writing skills so this is gonna be split into three parts, starting with the bottom four.

WARNING: No Anna and Elsa in this countdown, so let's begin.

11. Aurora
Sorry guys, but I'm one of those people who believes that feminism...
