The saddest moments from DP movies that made me cry and most often they still do. Some are close to heart while some are so well enacted and animated that i'm moved by the simplicity of emotions.

13. 3 good fairies put the entire kingdom to sleep:
Despite their best of efforts, they lose Aurora to the spell and the only way to make things work is to put the entire kingdom to sleep, waking only when she awakens. It makes me sad to see them blame themselves for this loss. It doesn't make me cry though, but yes, it puts me in a sad mood.

12. Cinderella crying in the forest:
More than her dress being torn apart, which was her mother's and a sweet surprise by her friends, the way she breaks down in the forest, "There's no hope" it always pinches my heart. Being her, who believed so whole-heartedly that wishes do come true if you truly believe in them and have faith in them, realization of utter hopelessness was miserable, even if only for a moment.

11. Tiana wishing on Evangeline:
Her demoralized heart was so sunk that she resorted to something she didn't even believed in. It pained me to see that her hard work wasn't going to pay off, while she saw her friend having everything she wanted served in a silver platter. I know she wouldn't be jealous of her friend, but it still depresses me to know that in reality, sometimes hard work isn't enough.

10. Do you wanna build a snowman:
The whole build-up of the song is so sincere and innocent. The emotions Anna go through while growing up, being hopeful that Elsa would play with her again like before to ignoring while she learns to be happy by herself with her parents by her side to emotionally exhausted of losing people she cared about the most, including her sister with no fault of hers; truly makes me curse her fate. Seeing someone lose hope in the good is always heart-wrenching.

9. King Triton destroys Eric's statue/Queen Elinor destroys Merida's bow:
Both are equally disheartening. Even though both of them loved their daughters but in fit of anger, unable to see how their daughters didn't understand and follow through their simple requests, destroys the prized possessions of their daughters. I can relate to this personally coz once my mom had thrown my personal journal away in fit of anger. It hurts awfully bad, having to lose your cherished belonging. Not because of its physical value but of the feelings attached to it, which parents sometimes tend to overlook.

8. Aladdin says goodbye to Genie:
Ecstatic with newly found freedom in eternity, Genie is crazily packing up, babbling all along, bursting with unbelievable joy and while Aladdin quietly watches him and realizing how close a friend he had come to be. Al, "Genie, I..I'm gonna miss you."
Genie, sobers down from his ecstatic joy, "Me too, Al"
And when they hug, my heart swells.

7. Rapunzel's parents lose hope:
For years and years, they have lit the lanterns faithfully, hoping against hope that their lost daughter will return eventually. But all these years, the harsh reality that it may have only become a ritual only, that she won't come back no matter how long they'll free the lanterns showed on King's face. He just didn't want to light the lanterns anymore, feeling that it is all useless. And how Queen tries to reassure him with an empty heart herself. This scene, though very short, tugs at my heart sincerely. And I love that there are no dialogues.

6. Shang dies:
Unfortunate incident leads to a mishap and hanging by a thread, Shang lets go of Mulan's hand by choice to save her. The fear and hurt of losing your loved one was so apparent in Mulan's eyes. Being so able, so mature, so intelligent, she couldn't save the one that mattered most. And her grief struck so true at heart when she wails out her scream.

5. Ariel longing for Eric from away, Triton realizes she's in love:
Ariel's longing for Eric is so deep and true but she won't make a deal any more just to be with him, so she waits, knowing her heart will always be with him only. And Triton realizes that he can't hold on to his children forever and he has to let them go for them to choose and build their own happy lives. This scene is overwhelming, filled with purest of emotions, that it makes me cry soft silent tears every single time I watch this. Its rather a bittersweet moment than sad.

4. Merida thought she lost her mother forever:
Despite fighting for her truest wish, she had to pay a heavy price for her independence. It pulls you apart, having to choose from your own happiness or the happiness of your loved ones. And you wonder why you were chosen to pay such a high price for your own wishes. And in neither case, you are fully happy and tend to regret the other. She wasn't ready to pay the price for her happiness in this way and instantly regretted having to lose her mother over her independence. Her hope slowly dying, when she covers her mom in the stitched tapestry is so apparent from her eyes and admittance that she'd give anything to get her mom back breaks my heart every single time.

3. Beast let Belle go:
one of the most heart breaking scene, among all of DP movies. Every time i hear the Beast's voice full with anguish and yet ringing with deeply found love, when he admits to Cogsworth that he had to let her go because he simply loved her enough finally. I always felt that he could finally make peace with himself but it cost him his heart. It makes me cry every time coz I truly know what an agony it is to let the person you love walk out, knowing you may never see them again but hoping that they'll at least remember you.

2. Flynn saves Rapunzel:
This is again a very overwhelming scene for me. Rapunzel's and Flynn's emotions are so beautifully entwined. Both trying to do the right thing, both want to save the other, both wanted to believe everything will be okay. And Flynn's words really break me, "You were my new dream." Changing for better, only to lose everything is undeniably the harshest reality sometime one may face. And how Rapunzel is left nothing but her words and a useless hope to get him back.

1. Reflection:
This is the most heart-breaking song ever. Mulan's compromises for her family, her failure to fit in, her desire to be her real self all come through so strongly. She knows if she chooses to be her real self, it will break her family's heart. Choosing someone else's happiness over yours is the toughest choice one can truly make. And it pains me to see how she struggles between this choice - to do what her family expects of her or to be her real self.

Would love to hear from you guys, as always!

This is my ranking of the princes. This is probably going to be one of my harder articles so please don't be rude.

12. Hans- I can't even describe how much I dislike this character. I hate the idea that the handsome prince has to be a jerk. One of the things I really hate about Frozen is that it mocks the love at first sight of the Walt era princess films. Yes you don't marry a guy you just met but I think most people are smart enough to know that, it's just common sense, yes there is no such thing as love at first sight but that's because they're fairytales and fairytales aren't suppose to...

“Rapunzel” is the kind of story that consistently ranks highly in people’s lists of their favorite fairy tales. With a dramatic plot, interesting characters, symbolic motifs, and the underlying theme of the redeeming power of love, the tale certainly seems to deserve such adoration. Grimm’s version of the story is perhaps the most known retelling,
Grimm's Rapunzel
Grimm's Rapunzel
although that may have changed as of 2010 with Disney’s adaptation, Tangled, a movie just as rife with symbolism as its literary inspiration. Although both are variations on the Rapunzel narrative, Disney’s movie veers...

Here's the 2nd part of my favorite Disney Princess Christmas/Winter Outfits and this time I'm counting down the outfits seen in promotional images, they're quite many so I have to divide this part into 2 parts, this part covers placements 35-21 and the 2nd part of this covers all the remaining placements, this list was really hard to make, most of these outfits are lovely
Note: the collage here shows Disney Princess outfits that didn't make it into the article because they're already shown wearing it or it looks too similar to another outfit they wear

35.

I know that we've seen the mermaid...

After seeing Sweetie94's prettiest disney princess list, I wanted to make one of mine as well. I'm not really a fan of the beauty of modern princesses, I find them rather too doll types, somehow. So they are all ranking low on my list. Hope you'll enjoy it, here it goes:

13. Elsa:
Eh, are her eyes for real? Way too big on her face and her lips are so thin. She does have that barbie doll kind of look to her. She has an unbalanced face proportion, her upper portion of face is too big as compared to the lower portion and that gives her an unnatural look, imo. I quite like her hair though, snow blonde,...

So yesterday I wrote an article about the Scariest Moments In Each DP Movie IMO, today I'm going to write about the Top 10 Scariest DP Movie Moments IMO, I'm also going to write an article about the Scariest DP Movies. You'll probably recognise some moments from my previous articles, but there'll be new ones too so I hope you'll enjoy this article

10. Mordú

I'll just copy what I said in my previous article: This bear is really scary looking imo especially with all of those arrows on him and the eyes are creepy too and his dark look also helps making him more scary. Now his death isn't...

Unlike my favorite Disney Princess list this list hasn't changed so much, but I still felt like writing an article about this because not only has it changed, it's also been a while since the last time I wrote this article. I find all the princesses pretty, but I have prefrences, for example I prefer the more realistic looking princesses so don't be surprised if most of the bottom placements are the cartoony looking princesses. Anyway enjoy this article

13. Jasmine

I've never really found Jasmine beautiful, she's pretty though. If I where to base this on color scheme only she would be much...

Last time I wrote this list Brave and Frozen hadn't been released so now I'll write this list with them included, hope you'll like it

12. Pocahontas

This scene is amazing to look at, no wonder many people loves this ending, but why is it then last on my list? While it's an amazing scene to look at it isn't a happy ending, normally I don't mind it, but Disney is known for making happy endings so honestly if this movie was made by another company and was live action I probably would love the ending more

11. Mulan

This ending starts off great with Mulan reuniting with her father and Shang...

So here is the Part 2 to my musical countdown: Scores. I love Disney music and I honestly love the scores over the songs. They have all of the "magic Disney" feel that I absolutely adore. Also, I love how the scores can provide a blend of the different songs from it's respective films as well as stir up all of the emotions and/or memories from it's respective scene(s). For those reasons, this list was much harder for me to make than Part 1: Songs, but I managed to finish! As I mentioned before, I cannot get enough from the musical team of Alan Menken and Howard...

So many times have I heard that Disney Princess movies are for little girls who wish upon a fairy godmother, want to be rescued by a handsome prince and live happily ever after. This is so not true and doubt all those who have opinions like this, if they have ever watched any DP movie seriously. So here's my 5 reasons why adults should consider Disney Princess movies as serious entertainment

5. Animation Art:
Any adult who have serious interest in animation art will not only enjoy the ever-evolving animation style from Disney studio but will find that animation in these movies are top-notch....

Ok so I saw a talented user here post an article about the Bechdel Test and being the Walt geek that I am, was immediately inspired to do a Walt Disney Test.

Walt Disney was unfortunately only alive to fully see over the production and release of Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty which are known as the "Classic Princesses". For this reason, I took everything in common that I could find with these 3 princesses for relevancy to rate the others. The 14 commonalities I found were: 1.) Beautiful Face 2.) In Shape Body 3.) Soft/Sweet Speaking Voice 4.) Singing Voice 5.) Dance Scene [Solo...

Tiana- The Under-rated

When Princess and the Frog came out it got people talking. Not only is Tiana a trailblazer for being the first African American Princess, but she was the first princess to independently have jobs and dedication to pursue a realistic career, I get that not every little girl dreams of having a business and they’d rather have the sparkly gown but I had hopes that Tiana would inspire them to come up with realistic goals. But .......she was not as loved as I thought . Also , some people ( SOME ONLY ) dislike her for her color tone !!!!!!!

Mulan- The Very Underrated

Now , she...

What if all of the Disney Princesses were American and lived in American cities? Which ones would they choose to live in? (*Note, I comprised this list of where they would want to live as a free choosing adult, not where they would have been born and raised. That is another list.)

Snow White: Phoenix, Arizona
Because there is a large elderly population there so Snow could help them like she did the dwarves. She is also a conservative princess that I think would enjoy living out under the stars in a more traditional place.

Cinderella: Minneapolis-St.Paul, Minnesota
Because it is a city rich...

What if all of the Disney Princesses were from American cities? Which ones would they be from? (*Note, I comprised this list of where they would be born and raised from not where they would be most suited as a free choosing adult. That is another list.)

Snow White: Portland, Oregon
Because it has a very friendly and comfortable environment. Snow was very naïve and very trusting, it would make sense if she grew up in a safe place like this.

Cinderella: Dallas, Texas
Because it is very conservative and traditional. There are more gender roles so it would make more sense why Cinderella took...
