Disney Princess Article: DP Villain Evil Laughs Countdown

It is the month of October which, in reference to DPs, definitely makes me think of the villains! Since I enjoy themes, October will have a "Halloween, Autumn, or Villain" theme in most of my posts. This one is going with Halloween & Villains! I still cannot add any photos to these articles but I will be doing so as soon as possible. I only included the villains that I actually remember doing an "evil laugh" in their original film:

9. Governor Ratcliffe- Pocahontas: Not really an evil laugh, more of a "bad person" laugh. Not too scary.

8. Lady Tremaine- Cinderella: Although it's evil, it's not a laugh. She only ever chuckles albeit sinisterly.

7. Mother Gothel- Tangled: More of a chuckles overall but still bigger of a laugh then Lady Tremaine's. This laugh comes off more like a light cackle.

6. Jafar- Aladdin: Sometimes referred to as the most sinister laugh in many countdowns, but not to me. I think this laugh sounds like a mad man, definitely, but isn't exactly more frightening than the "evil laughs" that beat it on my countdown.

5. Dr. Facilier- Princess and the Frog: Definitely a creepy laugh but never too loud or long so it was actually hard to rate. It's often lost in the creepy songs around it.

4. Gaston- Beauty and the Beast: Some people might find this surprising but I thought this was completely sinister, especially as he was going after the beast to kill him. This laugh was incredibly confident and assertive. Perhaps it's just me, but a man who confidently laughs before he's about to make a (basically) human kill is definitely frightening. His assertiveness in his "killing/hunting" talent conveyed by his laugh scares me.

3. The Evil Queen- Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs: The old "hag" cackling is absolutely sinister. As a young girl I remember hearing her laugh in the "Snow White" ride at Disneyland and how haunting it sounded. For an old lady, she nails sinister and scary.

2. Ursula- The Little Mermaid: The heartiest cackling of all of the villains, this one sounds like it's coming from a very evil woman. Not only is Ursula a huge and scary looking woman, her laugh actually sounds like she eats children or people. You can tell that she loves being evil and that oozes out of every "evil laugh" she gives, whether as Ursula or Vanessa.

1. Maleficent- Sleeping Beauty: Was there any doubt? Her cackling is so feminine yet it is the most sinister of all. Her evil laugh would make the perfect one for haunted houses. If I ever heard this laugh anywhere in the world, I would definitely get very frightened and very alert. Her evil laugh definitely takes the cake when it comes to "sinister and malicious". The most frightening and evil of all, by far.

wanderingchild7 Cool list! My top 3 is the same only the Evil Queen is second ans Ursula is third. It surprised me that you put Gaston so high but after reading your opinion and rewatching that scene I can totally see your point!

ilar9118 It'd not Maleficent.It's Malevolent.Malevolent means doing something to someone but the person doesn't so anything to you.Just like the villain of Sleeping Beauty. Maleficent means revenge.She wanted revenge as King Stefan took her wings so she wanted to get her revenge.

Ursula & the Evil Queen were definitely close for me but I gave Ursula the bump because I thought her evil laugh was a bit fuller and more resounding (though that could be due to the Evil Queen's disguise as an "old hag"). I am glad that you were able to see where I was coming from about Gaston, while I don't find him to be one of the more intense villains, I do think his laugh in that scene is intense! ilar9118: I'm not sure what source you are referring to but this list was only ranking villains in the original Disney Princess films and excludes any sequels/prequels/remakes etc. In Disney's 1959, Sleeping Beauty, her name is "Maleficent".

So, I did a countdown and a reverse count down polls to see if the results would be the same. Well....... just read to find out.

Here is how the accuracy results work. If you are 11 on the Reverse Countdown, they receive 1 point, since they are the least disliked, but if they are 1st on the Reverse Countdown, you receive 11 points since they are the most disliked. 10. Snow White
I really find her so boring. For me, she is not as pretty as the others and her voice sucks. But, the good thing that I like about her is her simplicity and kindness.

9. Aurora
Aurora is a very beautiful princess. But, her personality is really poor. In terms of voice, she is one of my favorites. The only reason that she is higher than Snow White is because of her relationship to Philip.

10) Snow White
I never thought I'd say this but she would be un-recognisable without her hair and her other best feature is her lips when she's singing or peacefully has them closed. I just wish her hair was longer. I'm so used to long haired fictional princesses. I don't like Snow's chubby shaped face, doll eyes or the shape of her nose.

9) Pocahontas
Her best features are her skin colour, her eyes and her hair. I don't like the build of her body or the muscular manly looking legs. She has a square chin and serious lack of nose.

When she's wearing dresses, I like her hair, lips and eyes....

Disney Princess Friendships.

As you can deduct, in this article I'll explain how I paired the Disney Princesses, analysing what they have in common, so what could make them a good couple of friends. I was inspired by the Most Similar Princess Pair Countdown, made by sweetie-94.

Ariel & Jasmine.
It was very hard to choose who could be Ariel's best friend among Belle, Jasmine and Rapunzel because these four princesses have a strong spirit of adventure. At last, I chose Jasmine because she has a lot of things in common with Ariel: both hope for a their own freedom and dream to see the world out of their kingdom/palace....

10. Aurora
Aurora was given the gift of beauty and the gift of voice. She has classic beauty and I love her singing voice but I feel like that's all she's got.

9. Snow White
Snow White and the seven dwarves is the most classic and original Disney princess movie in my opinion but Snow White lacks character. At least she cooks and clean.

Another Disney Channel princess, but one that isn't nearly as viciously hated. Bridgit is currently the most beloved darling, she's classy, regal and beautfiul enough to play Cinderella. Quite honestly I think she's the only girl on Disney right now who deserves to play a princess.

Ariel and Pocahontas: who is more irresponsible?

I'm writing this article because with all due respect to everyone's opinion I could never appreciate the double standards surrounding Ariel’s character with all the “she left her family behind because of a guy despite canon clearly stating she dreamt of being a part of a human world long before even knowing Eric exists” sort of statements. And I don’t really like comparing Disney girls and writing character A vs. character B kinds of posts, but I feel like sometimes it is the only way to make a point.

Well as you can tell by the title these are my favorite scenes from every movie. Some of these were really hard since I love a lot of these movies a lot. I'm not sure about you guys but for me it's hard to read other people's because I go "No this scene is better" or "Why that scene?". Some films it's just to hard because they're all great. I have a variety of different favorite scenes. Some of them were funny while others are battles between the heroes and the villains or romantic moments. Interview with the characters from Disney's Beauty and the Beast
