I was in a mood to do a ranking list, so I thought I should make a list of my top 10 scenes from DP movies. So, here we go.

10. Cinderella - waking up
Have you ever seen anyone waking up so gorgeous. Her elegance is to die for. She's looking adorable and elegant all at once, with her piggytails. I love how she flips over and puts pillow overhead, not wanting to wake up from the dream. And isn't she cute, not telling the dream to the birdie friends. I like how she was so much in the moment, holding a pillow. And then, old killjoy strikes, haha! I love how she gave us a peak into her other side, she does have temperament. I love the humming when she's getting ready, i often do it myself. It's a very sweet morning routine.

9. Tangled - Rapunzel is out of tower
I could literally feel her exhilaration when she left the tower for the first time. The way she's staring at the grass, and then feeling the splash of fresh water on her feet. I love how she goes a little crazy and is running wild, rolling and swinging all over the place. And it's so cute that Flynn is just watching her, frame by frame,
perplexed to see a girl so overwhelmed with something so simple.

8. Sleeping Beauty - fairies fight over color of the gown
This scene is so cute and funny, when Merryweather and Flora are changing colors of the gown while cleaning the cottage with magic. And when they are done with their work and Aurora's arrival is anticipated, they go little mad with their wands, making the dress a splash of blue and pink. I laughed so much, seeing mature adults fighting like kids over a color of the gown! "Make it pink" "Make it blue", and they never could resolve this till the very end.

7. TLM - part of your world
Ariel is in her best of spirits, her hopes and dreams, her longing to be human is so alive in this scene. Her thirst for quenching her curious mind, her need to know more than her world, is beating through this scene. I love how it makes you experience a sigh and thrilling high of emotions all at once. I love the scene how she stretches out her hand out of her grotto, as if catching onto life. Jodi Benson has really put life in this song. And not to forget Ariel's super gorgeous hair, the sway and the lilt and the twirl of her hair was so stunning to watch every single time. I love how it engulfs her face.

6. Pocahontas - Color of the Wind
Are the landscapes for real? Of course not, but it makes you wish for a place on earth so magically beautiful. The vistas are so breathtakingly stunning. The colors used in the animation is just beyond imagination. And i just love this song so much, so profound it is that it makes me question. How much narrow minded we as humans can get sometimes and forgets the larger picture, I love the message this songs bring.
Long have I wished to have a tattoo of the leaves from this this song, oh boy, beautiful it is.

5. Sleeping Beauty - Aurora meets Philip
One of the most romantic set-up done by Disney. It starts off on a dream that Aurora was enjoying and her forest friends adding the fun by mimicking the prince. It was such a cute scene. And then Prince Philip flirting with her, and she's shying away from him. So innocent. And the waltz through the forest is so romantic. I love how she leans into his shoulder and promises to meet him again, overlooking the castle, oblivious from the reality.

4. Brave - Merida rips the tapestry
I love this scene for the emotions that are flowing underneath the characters. Neither Elinor nor Merida are able to express what they truly want to say. They are exasperated with each other. I know in my heart what they are really wanting to say, and wish they'd just found the right words. But they couldn't with emotions clouding their senses. And more she's expressing her anger, angrier she's becoming. The heat kept rising before it took toll on both of them. And as a viewer, I know exactly when she crosses the line from expressing her right to expressing the hurt that has built up in her. And I say to myself, only if she knew what path is she going down. I also love how Elinor just couldn't fathom what's bothering Merida so much, cannot understand the depth of it. I loved the tensed situations, ripe with raw emotions and a equally befitting release of it in the physical action - Merida rips the tapestry and Elinor throws Merida's bow in the fire.

3. Tangled - Flynn saves Rapunzel ]
Oh how this scene always demands few tears from my eyes. Begins with a misleading hint when Rapunzel hair goes down the tower for Flynn to climb, makes one think a bit. And before we know, Flynn is stabbed. I love how Mother Gothel is still as vain as ever, as cooly sly. "Look what you have done Rapunzel". I love the amazing dialogue between Flynn and Rapunzel, "You were my new dream", "And you were mine". The desperation and hurt of both losing each other is overwhelming. And right after when Flynn cuts off Rapunzel's hair to save her, her shock is so apparent, she couldn't just gather what happened in that moment - her hair, Gothel dying, Flynn slowly fading away in death. And the shattering silence in the tower is almost a peek in her heart, left with nothing but a hopeless prayer to get back the newly found and newly lost love. How she prays in her silent sobs is really heartbreaking.

2. Aladdin - Aladdin sets Genie free
This moment has everything in it - the awww factor, the sweet tug, misty eyes yet a warm smile. Aladdin knew he will lose it all - a friend and his love, yet he found the courage to keep his promise to his friend. I love how Genie couldn't believe that it could and it did finally happen - that he was free. His burst of emotions is always a treat to watch. The realization of goodbye is even more emotional. I love how Aladdin realizes how close a friend Genie has come to be and how he's going to miss him so. And my heart melts when they hug, so endearing.

1. Beauty and The Beast - From the Date to Beast let Belle go
It's my favorite scene of all time, i can watch it again and again. It's full of beauty and emotion and music. I love how it begins with Beast so nervously thinking about the date, because he's not just going to ask her out for the heck of it but because he's truly fallen in love. I love the funny exchange between Lumiere and Beast over a haircut. The grand setting of them coming down the staircase and have a grand meal was so like a dream date. And one of the most beautiful music lifting the mood. And my eyes are stunned by the splendor of the ballroom and the stunning night vista through windows. I think If I were to get a dream date, this would be it. And just when everything was right, the mood shifts ever so slightly to begin when Belle wishes for her father. And everything goes south from here.
I loved how he finally let go of last of his inhibitions and could truly love Belle. And it makes me cry a river when he says to Cogsworth, "I had to (let her go), because I love her". I have never found anything more courageous that to consciously let go of your happiness and the chance to make things right for yourself, for the someone else's happiness. It truly is beautiful from the inside.

Hope you'll enjoy this. Love to hear from you all, as always.
