    The third bang and cry made Viva's heart stop and she waited and look back at the reflection in the mirror stairing back. Her body had taken so much abuse over the years, she always had bruise on her every where and cuts and scars apond her wrist. She was very skinny for her age of 13 and her hair was thin and up to her shoulders and different lengths. She turned to her side and looked into the mirror and started thinking, "Am I skinny enough? Am I fat? Am I good enough...or just useless like he says to me over and over again?" Then there was another bang and no cry after she waiting for another sound but there was silence....Silence scared her more then the violent noise's from down the hall because that meaned he was really angry.
    She ran to the small dark closet in her room and closed the door and sat and didn't move. She could barely hear foot steps coming down the hall or even his loud dark breathing she listened but heared nothing but then the door flinged open and a big hand reached out and grabbed her hair and pulled her out and lifted her up off the ground. Fear raced around her body as she dangled, his face was always hidden by the shadows of the house she really believed he was a shadow at one point. All she could she was his grin so evil and drity like he was mocking her. Viva looked down at his hand and saw that there was scarlet blood smeard on it, shock run to her eyes as she looked back at him.
    "I thought that little bitch a lesson on not to speak back to me," He grinned wider. "Do I need to teach you to?" The question hung in the air, Viva couldn't answer she couldn't believe what he did. A million pictures of what he did ran through her head and scared her to death. He shoke her fiercely. "Answer me!" Viva put her hand up to her scelp because of the pain and let out a weep of pain. He put her legs back on the ground not letting go of her hair and draged her out of her room and down the hall to a big black door with locks on it. He opened the door and throw Viva in and inside were stairs that with down. For a second she was air born and felt like she could fly and was free but then reality set in and she hit hard on the steps near the middle and rolled down until her back hit the wall with a thud. Before she knew it the door was closed and locked tight. She came back to her sense's and got up in pain but she began to move away from the stairs to a small open room and in the middle of the room was an old beat up piano.
    The piano was the only thing now that brougt happiness to Viva, the soft black and white keys and the way the made her fingers feel and the echo of the room. Viva walked closer to the piano and sat down in the seat and just looked at it, didn't play just looked. She was taking in what she felt at the time and all the time and then set her fingers on the piano and began to play...

    Put then she was stoped by the sound of laughing, she looked to her right and saw him. Standing there the same grin on his face as he walked up to her and grabbed her arm and took her away from the piano. "So this is what you do when your down here? Your supposed to be thinking about what you've done!" He pulled harder on her and pushed her away from him and then went and grab a big red jug and went up to the piano and poored it on it and then got out a match and throw it on. Viva stood there silent not saying anything and just staired at the flames as they raised. He walked pasted her and said"Now think about what you've done!" Viva didn't say anything just stood as he went up the stairs and closed the down behind him. At that point she told herself that she would fight back this time and he wouldn't control her anymore...but after that things just seemed to get worst...
