Dear diary,

Last night, I had this weird dream that really scared me. I was out in the woods and everything around me felt so real: every sound, every scent. It didn't feel like a dream, but I still didn't know what I was doing there. I couldn't even remember what had happened before that, what had made me go to the woods in the first place. I could feel it wasn't safe for me there, but it didn't matter. I kept walking anyway, like I didn't really know what I was doing. My legs just seemed to keep moving of their own accord.

After walking for what seemed like an hour, I saw something that made...
