Doctor and Rory stand there for a while, staring into each other’s eyes. Rory’s face is a mixture of anger, hate, love, thanks, friendship, but mostly, its pure agony. “Rory.” I croak, feeling nauseous. “Hello, Amy.” He says in that loving voice I remember. He walks over to me hesitantly towards me, and wraps his arms around me. I breathe in his deep, woodsy, leathery scent. “How... what... what happened to you?” He whispers into my hair. I look at Doctor. His eyes are looking away, his jaw tight, and his eyes are filled with hate. Hate of himself. “I... I got shot. By a Dalek...” I say. Rory’s face has gone red. Tears fill his eyes. I grind my teeth together. “Where WERE you?” I scream at him, getting to my feet. “I... I was watching you!” He cries. “I’m your WIFE! I needed you!” I cry back, then I fall over, bending onto my knees. Doctor rushes over, catching me before I hit the ground. “You.” Rory points a shaky finger at Doctor. “You kissed my wife.” He yells, throwing a punch at the Doctor. Doctor neatly dodges, grabbing Rory’s arm. “Rory, calm down, mate.” He says calmly. “How the HELL can I calm DOWN? You kissed her! She’s mine!” He yells. Wait. Did he say he OWNS me? I get to my feet, shaking now, the mist of the forest chilling my spine. “I am NOT yours! You don’t own me!” I screech. “I didn’t mean it like that! I meant...” Rory trails off, looking defeated. “Rory.” Doctor says, reaching for his shoulder. “Don’t touch me!” He yells at him, and Doctors hand recoils.
Rory walks up to me. “I’m sorry, Amy.” He kisses me tenderly. “But I don’t want to be with someone who doesn’t love me enough. Goodbye, Amelia Pond.” He hugs be, and then walks off. I start to cry, realizing that my husband, the one who I did love, but not enough, has just left me. I look around to see Doctor standing there. “Amy.” He says. I run into his warm embrace, and cry until my eyes are red raw and all the tears are out. He strokes my hair, telling me it’ll be ok, that he loves me. “He’s gone, out of my life. Forever.” I whisper dryly. “I’m so, so sorry, Amy.” He says into my hair. “I’m going to go find Rory.” He says, getting up slowly. “No. Don’t.” I say, louder this time. But he’s already gone. I walk slowly into the Tardis, and plonk down on a squashy leather seat, waiting for my Doctor to return. Suddenly, a hear a startling gunshot. I run outside, and see The Doctor, lying on the ground, blood pooling around his body. I look around, but no one is to be seen.
