Chapter 3
New Life
Rosalie's POV
I probably lay on my bed and cried for hours that only felt like minutes…
It took all my new strength to get out of bed and go talk to my new family.
As I walked toward the door another mirror caught my attention.
Is that me?
I was more beautiful than before, I had longer gorgeous blond hair, pale yet flawless skin, and I now had an even more stunning figure.
I grazed my newly enhanced body continually until I reached my eyes they were no longer lavender... they were now replaced with black.
A knock on the door brought me out of my gaze.
“Rosalie, honey, are you ok…Edward said you were not doing well…” How did Edward know anything? “Would you like to go hunting now?” She sounded so sincere and loving, nothing like my real mother…
I wiped the tears away from my cheeks and under my eyes before going over to the door.
“I’m sorry, Esme, I…” I said as I opened the door, I saw Esme then the next second I was cut off by two comforting arms wrapped around me.
“Sweetheart, I so glad you are ok. Please don’t cry, I promise it gets better.” She whispered in my hair.
I wanted to yell at her and tell her that I was a monster and wished I was dead after what 'he' did to me...but I refrained.
I pulled back to look at her, “Thank you, Esme. This is all so new and everything is gone and…”
“I know sweetie, let’s go down stairs with Carlisle and Edward so we can explain everything to you.” She said taking my hand before I had a chance to argue.
We walked down stairs and sat down at a table I guessed was only for show.
Carlisle and Edward were already there having a heated conversation which I figured was about me since they stopped as soon as we came into view.
“How are you, dear?” Carlisle asked me in the same tone as Esme addressed me in.
“Ok, I guess.” Lie.

This time they told me about who I am know going to pretend to be until we move to Tennessee in a few weeks to…well…everything else.
“So Rosalie, that’s a lot of information in a day; how are you feeling?” Carlisle asked me.
“Um, my throat hurts, really bad…” I told him seriously this time holding my throat.
They all chuckled a little, “you need to hunt,” Esme told me gesturing to the woods stilling giggling.
“Oh, umm, humph…” I mumbled embarrassed.
“Idiot” I heard Edward say under his breath and I surprised that I could hear it.
“Edward!” I heard Esme and Carlisle scold him at the same time. I looked down self concise and upset.
“Let’s go, sweetheart.” Esme took my hand lead me outside to a large porch that over looked the forest.
Suddenly Carlisle was right behind me and Esme.
“Follow me,” Carlisle whispered in my ear as he and Esme jumped off the deck and into woods.
Heck No!
“Heck yes now let’s go,” Edward mumbled to me as he nearly pushed me off the deck.
The whole ‘I know what you’re thinking’ thing is getting pretty weird.
I could have swore I heard Edward chuckle from behind me before he was gone too and I was left alone.

Hunting was…interesting…and...uncomfortable…but did make me feel better.
I was in my new room lying on the bed, my hair was wet and I was in a pair of pajamas that Esme loaned me.
My head was on the pillow and I was twirling my hair through my fingers as I thought of everything for the first time since everything happened…
I am immortal…
I drink blood…
My skin sparkles…
I am beautiful…
I will never see my family again…
I will never see Vera or Henry again…
Royce is out there probably still drunk and alive…
I am a vampire…
Sobs started spilling out of me, again…
