Chapter 6
Memories
Rosalie's POV
It was a gloomy day and I decided to take a walk through Nashville.
I put on a nice pair of dark jeans, black strap heels, and a white blouse.
My hair was curly and long as it cascaded down my back.
I checked my reflection and grabbed my purse on the way out of my bedroom door.
“Be careful, Rose. Please.” Esme begged me in a sweet motherly tone as I walked into the kitchen where she was making pasta for some reason.
“I always am, Esme.” I smiled and tried to calm her.
“I know…” Esme played along and laughed a little, too.
“I’ll be back in a few hours, okay?” I asked.
“Alright, Hun.” I went over and hugged her softly before leaving our house.

I walked un-notably down the long sidewalks of Nashville. There was a Nashville County Fair close by that I decided to visit before heading home.
I received hoots and hollers the whole time, a few years ago I would have loved all the attention but now all I wanted was to be invisible. But being a flawless vampire made that hard.

It had been about 6 months since me and Edward worked out our differences and ever since then things have been better in the Cullen household. We would all go hunting together about once a week and then we would go separately throughout then if we needed.
I tried to act happy around my new family but I still stayed in my room a lot and sobbed uncontrollably about once or even twice a week. Sometimes I would stand and look at myself in my big mirror and recall everything that man did to me. Sometimes Esme or Carlisle or even Edward would come and comfort me but they mostly left me alone, which I was grateful for…
I was pulled out of my trance by a man who was standing in front of me. He had his hand on my face and was pulling me close to him forcefully. “You’re beautiful, honey.” He whispered seductively in my ear.
I screamed as loud as I could, “Get off me!” I started sobbing, “Don’t touch me!” I sobbed harder and ran as fast as I could.
I ran and ran about 50 miles away from Nashville. I found a small meadow and sat down by a tree. I cried as, again, all the horrible memories came back once again.
Day turned into night and I had not moved a muscle. It had to be about midnight and I still had no intention to go back.
I heard a movement in the bushes and a gust of strong wind blew past me making my hair go into my face. I looked around franticly as the fear started to return. Normal vampires were not supposed to be scared… but I guess I was not normal, though.
“Rosalie!” I knew that voice. Soft and worried. It was Edward. Even though I could not see him through my watery eyes I could feel him coming closer.
“Edward…” My weak voice cracked.
“What happened to you?” I shook my head in response, “Lets get you home.” Edward picked me up and cradled me in his arms as he ran full speed through the thick forest trees.

I know vampires don't sleep but I could have sworn I came close to it.
One minute I was crying in the forest and the next I was in my bed...alone...again...
"Esme?" I cried quietly knowing she would still hear me.
I tried to sit up a little but for some reason I felt weak.
"Hun...oh...sweetheart..." Esme was upstairs in a flash. She came and sat on the side of my bed and wiped a piece of hair from my face.
"Ugh..." I moaned.
Why was I so weak?
"Carlisle?" Esme called a bit worried. Again, Carlisle was up here in a flash, too.
"She's awake?" He asked.
"Yes, but why is she so frail and tired, Car?" Esme sounded really upset and scared, "This is not normal."
"Well, from the night she had I think it is alright. I mean Edward told us what happened and I think your body, even though you are a vampire, reacted by shutting down and now having no energy. You are still a farley new vampire and you body is still adjusting, so just be careful and take a rest. Okay, Rosalie?" Carlisle was so smart and calm I had to believe him.
"Yes, thank you." I spoke for the first time since he came in the room.
Esme rubbed my arm and Carlisle sat next to her with his hand around her back.
"Where is Edward?" I asked and I could have sworn I saw them smile.
"He is out hunting; I will have him come up when he gets back." Esme mentioned glancing at Carlisle.
"Okay, thanks" I smiled.

Carlisle and Esme left and I lay back down and closed my eyes until Edward came in a few hours later.
We talked about what happened, I thanked him, and that was it.

The next few days I stayed in bed and someone would come talk to me every few hours…but I mostly just lay in my room and thought...
Today I decided to get up and hunt.
I took a shower and put some jeans and a sweatshirt on then went downstairs.
Carlisle and Esme were sitting at the table in the dinning room and Edward was sitting across from them with a horrible look on his face.
"Rosalie, come sit" Esme seemed genually happy so I obliged. I sat next to Edward and gave him a confused look he returned my glance with a sigh.
Carlisle and Esme looked like they did not know where to start…
But what they said next shocked me…
