Fanpop Article: Why The Black Background Is Better...

50% of fanpoppers that took my pick 'Do you like the black background of fanpops homepage?' picked no.

I'm one of the fanpoppers that picked yes and i'll explain why.

The old background was okay, but its main colors were blue and green; two colors that don't go together. But the black background doesn't have any colors that do not match.

The black background is easier on the eye, more stylish and makes you feel more relaxed. The old background seems more tacky.

I'm sure that homepage will change back to its old blue and green theme as fanpoppers think the black background is 'against the spirit of fanpop' whatever that means! But i hope it doesn't and the rest of fanpop has the current theme of the fanpop homepage.

Well some people won't know what I'm talking about because it's changed back to normal. Apparently it was for an ad but i didn't even see it!

fanfly Lucky for you. It's really icky. :P And it's all over the place, not just on the homepage. Can't wait until it goes away!

Snerkie actually blue and green can very often look great together, that's just a stupid rhyme a lot of old people love to follow... oh and black often isn't easier on the eyes, it's much more demanding for attention and you end up trying to focus yourself (especially when it changes so soon) it's much more of an eye strain.

glossygirl125 I don't mind the background being black, I just don't like that the avertizing on it is for a horror film.

ineedcoffee I don't know I find my eyes strain more on the white background have you ever done the reverse its not that bad, but I no people don't like change and I do like fanpops colours but I like the black. I too don't see the add guess I am lucky.

I love the black background, it's cool and sophisticated - and I'm a spohisticated kinda gal *seeps beer from bottle* I just hope that eventually the F4 might consider applying the black background to the users' profiles. EDIT: I don't know what area you're in, w2w, but I'm in Australia and I haven't seen this ad either.
