House stared at the phone in his palm. Tell Foreman I’m sorry. What the hell did that mean? Unless…no! She wouldn’t! Although, she wasn’t Cameron. He really had no idea what her moral view on abortion was.

He turned to look at Kutner, Taub, and Foreman. He had a right to know. House got up and walked into the conference room.

“Hey Foreman,” House said, and the three heads looked up. “I just got a call from Thirteen. She’s terminating your kid.”

“What?” Foreman asked, confused at what House had said.

“You got Thirteen pregnant two months ago. She just called me from Princeton General. I think she’s terminating.” House said, looking down. “Sorry.”

Foreman sat for a moment, his mind relishing over the whole thing. “I’ve got to stop her.” He ran out of the room, and down the crowded hallway.

“Why would she terminate? I mean, yes, she was young, but Cole worked with a kid.” Taub thought out loud. “And she was always good with the young patients.”

“Huntington’s, right?” Kutner said, interrupting Taub. House stood up.

“Ask her,” He said before leaving the room. He saw Cuddy in the hallway, and limped a bit faster to catch up with her.

“House, to what legal code did you break that I owe the pleasure?” Cuddy asked, not looking up from her patient’s chart.

“My female fellow is aborting Foreman’s fetus. Wow! Try saying that five times fast!” Cuddy’s head snapped up at that comment.

“Dr. Hadley’s terminating a pregnancy? Foreman’s child? This must be better than your soap operas,” She said in astonishment. “And you just felt like I should know this piece of valued information?”

“Nope. I think Foreman would appreciate it if you called her and tried to talk her out of it. And I would appreciate it if you spread this around the Princeton Plainsboro gossip ring. Hey Wilson!” House said before walking off to tell his friend the news.

--

His child! Foreman thought as he was driving about 15 miles over the speed limit to Princeton General. He had briefly remembered telling Chase a year ago that he wasn’t ready for any Foreman Jrs., and now one was here!

It hurt him that Thirteen hadn’t even told him that she was pregnant, and that she was going to terminate without his knowledge. It was ultimately her decision, but he had a right to know.

And he had a right to try to stop her.

--

Thirteen sat in another cold looking waiting room, this one in a different part of the building. Several teenagers were sitting in the next row of chairs, as well as a woman who looked to be nearing fifty a couple seats down from her.

She was scared right now, she wouldn’t deny that. For her life, and for the life that she was taking.

In high school, she had accompanied a lot of her friends to appointments like this, but she was never the patient. Not that she had taken a vow of celibacy as a teenager, she did get around, but she had always been the most careful of her clique. And now, at 28, when most would be thrilled to be pregnant, she was getting an abortion. Ironic.

--

“Damn it!” Foreman said to himself as he saw the flashing blue and red lights in his rearview mirror. He pulled over quickly and grabbed his license and registration.

“Sir, can I get your license and registration?” The officer asked through the window, and Foreman handed him the papers. “You were driving pretty fast, have you been drinking or using any narcotics?”

“No!” Foreman exclaimed. “Look, I’m trying to get to Princeton General. It’s important.”

The cop eyed him strangely. “Alright, I’ll need to write you a speeding ticket, but just drive more carefully next time.”

--

“Dr. Rema Hadley?” The nurse said, “Please follow me.” This nurse was cold and not as comforting as the genetics one. Probably used to crying teenagers and young girls.

Thirteen felt as if she in a dream. She watched herself change into the gown, and given a pelvic, pap smear, and an ultrasound. Finally, she saw herself go into the surgical room. Leaning back, she felt the local anesthetic being applied, then, nothing…

--

Foreman barged into the waiting room of gynecological surgery. The women and one man sitting there looked up at him in surprise. He walked up to a reception desk, and got the attention of one of the desk workers.

“Yeah, hi, is a Rema Hadley already in surgery?” he asked quickly, his fingers tapping rapidly on the table. “Hurry! Please,” He said, adding ‘please’ as an afterthought.

“I-I’m sorry,” said the slightly scared nurse. “She went in half an hour ago. She’s in surgery by now.”

Foreman turned away, stunned. His child was being terminated at this moment. Thirteen’s and his child. How could she do this? How could she not tell her? Was he supposed to just keep living his life? Was she?

He thought this over for hours, sitting in the uncomfortable black, waiting room chair, trying and failing to get into Thirteen’s mind. Finally, around 3 o’clock, he saw Thirteen walking out of a room on the left. Foreman jumped up and walked over to her.

“You-You came?” she asked, stunned.

“Of course I came! I was coming to talk you out of terminating my kid!” Foreman exclaimed.

“It wasn’t your choice to make!” Thirteen shot back.

“The kid you just killed was half mine! I should have some influence over the choice! If you didn’t want I child I could have raised them myself!” Foreman yelled, attracting the attention of several onlookers.

“I want a child, but I’m not going to have one just so I can abandon them!” Thirteen yelled back.

“What, did your mom or dad abandon you? I’m sorry, but that doesn’t mean that you would!” Foreman yelled, stepping closer as if to challenge her.

“I have Huntington’s Chorea!” Thirteen yelled back, even louder. She looked around, realizing that she hadn’t simply thought it, she had screamed it. “And so did the fetus. I-I’m sorry,” she muttered, walking past Foreman and down the stairs. Foreman stood, shocked for a moment, and then ran after her.

“Thirteen! Thirteen!” He called down the staircase. “Thirteen stop!” Thirteen reached the landing only 2 seconds before he did. He reached forward and grabbed her wrist, pulling her towards him.

Foreman enveloped Thirteen in a bear hug, stroking her hair. She resisted for a moment, before slowly putting her arms around him.

“I’m sorry,” she whispered in his ear. “I’m sorry.”

He nodded in reply. He could feel her body shaking against his, but he knew that it wasn’t from the disease.

*I didn't write this. But the fanfic was on a weird page for a link. Plus it looks better and is easier to read as an article, IMO.*
