How do you get gold on gaia?

You get gold on Gaia by posting in the forums, voting in polls, commenting on profiles, sending PMs, voting in arenas and taking part in quests (when there are some). You can also get gold by selling items - either items you don't use anymore, items you get from quests or daily chance, or items you bought from other users on the Marketplace.

There's a lot of ways. You just have to really participate in and around Gaia.
The new virtual world: Skittles 2009, gives random items on the spinning wheel for free! Who knows how long this lovely addition will last, but it is pretty exciting.
Forums, comments, journal entries, and browsing can give you up to 50 gold. The more you get yourself involved, the better!
Selling and vending is very helpful, it's my prime money making scheme.
And, if you can draw, an art shop is the way to go. Art shops are making a lot of money these days.
Towns. Plenty of plant life to shake and disturb. It gives you gold too!
There are a bajillion more ways besides the ones just mentioned! Be creative, be active, and have fun!
