I'm making another article defending Ginny, this time on the particular accusation of her being a slut. I'm going to list various factors which could make someone a slut and discount them.
1. Having many partners or love interests.
She has 3. Hermione also has 3. Most of the other teenage characters have at least 2. Not exactly extreme.
2. Moving through love interests quickly.
She dates Michael Corner for most of a year, and also dates Dean Thomas for most of a year. She dates Harry for a little while but their break-up was one of circumstance. When they get back together, they're permanent as far as we know.
3. Cheating or two-timing
There's no evidence of this. She'd cleanly broken up with one boyfriend before moving onto a next.
4. Breaking up with one boyfriend to move onto someone better.
She doesn't break up with one to move onto the next, there's a different reason. Michael had been a bad loser. She and Dean had started arguing a lot.
5. Sleeping around or having sex young.
No indication of this.
