Hey guys. Now...yes, this break from Glee is good and bad at the same time. Bad? Well...there's no Glee. I mean, that just sucks! Good? It gives us time to think about what may happen for the undergrads, the graduates, the adults--just everybody! We're all wondering and asking the exact same questions. What's going on with Finn and Rachel? Who is going to be leading New Directions? Who all is coming back on Glee? The list goes on. Personally, I wonder about these things, too. The one thing I mostly think about is all of the undergrads' storylines. I know, Quinn and Santana are my favorite characters. As Finn and Mercedes. But as much as I want to see more of them, I would want to find out what's going in and out of the choir room in William McKinley. So I decided to write out some storylines that I think--or at least want--to happen.

So, let's start off with Tina Cohen-Chang.

The season starts off with Tina at her house, finishing up her last assignments before the school year starts up again. Her laptop is on and Mike Chang is on Skype. She and Mike have a chat with each other. Tina tells her how stressful the year is going to be with her being the female lead for New Directions Mike smiles and tells her not to worry about anything. He also explains that when he's free on a weekend, he'll come back to Lima to see her again.

On the first day of school, Tina walks the halls, feeling fresh and excited. She sings at the start of Glee club. Everyone applauds her, and then she makes a speech about how well she believes the year is going to turn out. Will Schuester also adds in that the Glee club needs more seats for them to be eligible for Sectionals. After Glee club, she has a discussion with Artie Abrams, Blaine Anderson, and Brittany S. Pierce. They all decide on doing Top 40's songs to butter up the students and making them want to join. Artie recalls the events in the courtyard in his sophomore year ("Audition"), and the food fight from the previous year ("The Purple Piano Project"). He thinks that the Glee club won't pull off getting more people. Then Tina recalls the assembly in her freshman year ("Showmance"), and assures the three that the Glee club will get the same amount of applause as they did back then.

On the second day of school Tina, Blaine, Artie, Brittany, and the rest of New Directions enter the school, wearing matching T-Shirts and breaking out into song. By the time they end the song, the hockey players are the first to throw paper balls, pencils, and slushies at them. Then the rest of the school joins in. Worried about their social status, Tina struggles about what the Glee club is going to do about their popularity. Then a transfer student named Catherine Mason shows up into the Glee club. She turns out to be a combination of current New Directions member, Sugar Motta, substitute teacher, Holly Holliday, and NYADA hopeful, Harmony. She explains to Tina that she is a weak leader for New Directions, and thinks she can do better. She sings an energetic pop song, and starts dancing with every Glee club member excluding Tina (similar to Brittany's performance in "Dance With Somebody"). By the time the song ends, everyone is applauding Catherine, while Tina stares are her, enviously.

Some of the current members such as Sam Evans and Artie Abrams want Catherine in the Glee club because she has a killer voice and she seems confident in her performances like Rachel Berry is. Tina disagrees and explains that Catherine's up to no good, recalling a conversation the two had in the hallway between classes. Tina tells them that Catherine said that, she'll turn the crap fest that is Glee club into a blockbuster sensation that everyone will tune into. Catherine also plans on joining the Cheerios, the student council, the swim team, and hiring a manager to help with her singing for fame purposes. Tina tells Brittany that she doesn't want all of Brittany's glory on the student council and the Cheerios taken away from her. She also tells Sam that he may not make it to the national championships on the swim team if Catherine gets in the way.

Back at home, Tina tells her mother everything that's going on with Catherine and how worried she is about things going wrong in the Glee club. Tina expresses how angry she is about Catherine becoming the next Rachel Berry, and taking all of the spotlight away from her and her fellow Glee club members. Tina's mother tells her that she should stick to what's best for the group, and not what everyone else says. Afterwards, Tina goes to her room and onto her laptop. Rachel logs onto Skype and has a chat with her. Tina explains what's going on with her. Rachel responds with everything that was going on last year before she and the rest of the crew graduated. Rachel wants Tina to stoop to Catherine's level and tell her how much New Directions means to her. Tina isn't sure if she can do it, but Rachel says that she sees a sparkle in Tina somewhere, encouraging her to do it.

A couple of days later, Tina enters the choir room. Catherine is standing in front of all of the members of New Directions, practicing some choreography she made up at summer camp two years back. Catherine comments on Rory Flanagan and Sugar Motta's lack of dancing skills, and Sugar and Brittany's lack of singing skills. Then she continues on how embarrassing for the New Directions members left behind to have the amount of talent they have now. Tina steps in and stands up for the Glee club, telling Catherine that they're all a family and they help each other out with support. Catherine, insisting on Tina leading a talentless Glee club, walks out of the room. Tina then gets started with a routine she had in mind. They perform it for Mr. Schue in the auditorium.

As Glee club sign-ups continue, Tina wonders about her future. She remembers from before that she just wanted to sing ("On My Way"). She asks Emma Pillsbury for advice. She suggests that she'd go to a performing arts school. Tina immediately thought about Rachel at NYADA when Emma's suggestion came up. Unfortunately, Tina thinks she won't be qualified for that school. So Emma finds some schools in New York, California, and Florida for her to look at. Tina takes time to look them over, and tries to figure out what she wants. One weekend, Mike comes back to Lima to visit Tina. She explains that she's considering on going to a college in San Francisco and wants his input. Mike feels let down because he wants for her to be happy, but he also wants her to be close to him and stay in touch.

Undecided about her decision, Tina turns to Sam, who also had problems with choosing colleges and checking in on his girlfriend, Mercedes Jones. Sam explains to Tina that he wants to be a professional football player or a model, but he doesn't know where to go after high school. They both team together on the situation and receive advice from Mr. Schue. He persuades the two to give up their high school sweethearts and move on as graduation comes closer for them. Tina points out that it is easy to do that with friends, but not with their significant others. Mr. Schue points out a time in high school when he had a crush on a girl since sophomore year, and he goes out with her. When it was time for him to graduate, he came up with many ways for them to keep touch and carry on without worrying. Tina and Sam still disagree, leading on to Mr. Schue's assignment for the week. He gives an example with a song he's been listening to in his past.

Tina, who is worried about losing everyone and not just Mike, suggests that she'd spend every moment with each of the New Directions members. She plans a senior bonding party on a weekend. Afterwards, she tries to hang out with each member individually. Blaine, concerned about how Tina was feeling, explains that she's not going to lose everyone. He also says that they'll all give out phone numbers and any other contact information before the year ends anyway. Tina smiles and wonders if Blaine and Kurt will do the same as well.

Later on, Mr. Schue introduces Catherine into the Glee club. Tina still tells him that she is bad news, but Mr. Schue disagrees. He makes an announcement about the Glee club doing another high school musical. Tina and Catherine compete for the female lead. They both sing an audition song, and they get called back. Catherine decides to trick Tina and change the date and time of the audition. So after Catherine performs, everyone is waiting on Tina and she never arrives. Mr. Schue casts Catherine in the musical, and Tina asks for another chance. Unfortunately, Mr. Schue tells her that she was late and there's nothing to do about it. Tina knows that Catherine did it, but no one believes her. Catherine assures Tina that she won't get anyone to believe her if she tried. Later on, Tina is pretty confident that Catherine has won her over. But then karma hits Catherine as she suffers from a strep throat. Tina makes a quick visit an hour and a half before the show begins. She tells Catherine to be reminded that everyone doesn't get what they want.

After the musical catastrophe between Tina and Catherine, Tina and New Directions return to school, hoping that their success had a big impact on the school. Rick the Stick shows up with his hockey gang. He assures the Glee club that no matter what they do or what award they win, they'll still be losers on the inside. They slushie every member with a cherry and grape slushie. Tina's concern about the Glee club's popularity returns, and suggests that the Glee club up their game. Tina, Brittany, Sugar, and Catherine perform a popular song by a female artist and make a music video of themselves to put on YouTube (similar to what Sam did for Mercedes in "Saturday Night Glee-ver"). Meanwhile, the boys start a band of their own, and help do charity work for their school. Sam Evans and Joe Hart even get new additions for the God Squad.

While trying to succeed in their popularity, everyone in New Directions is called to the principal's office. Principal Figgins explains that trying to exploit themselves with cost them in the competitions (sectionals, regionals, etc.). Like in "Mattress", Mr. Schue doesn't know that all of this was going on. Tina stands up for the whole group and gets fed up about getting slushied/bullied by William McKinley students. The other New Directions members step in with their input on how they feel. Tina also convinces Principal Figgins to not ban Mr. Schue from competition, for she and the other Glee club members will all quit and William McKinley won't have a championship-winning Glee club. Figgins lets Mr. Schue off the hook. However, the Glee club gets detention for a week. Mr. Schue talks with the group, assuring them that they all are special no matter what a couple of students say. Tina says that she's tired of feeling like the minority, but Mr. Schue informs her that everyone in the world can be a minority, making it not matter. Admitting to agree, Tina leads New Directions into a group number.

Days later, she and Blaine get called back at a performing arts school. They worked day and night to practice and prepare for their callback. They sneak into a local theater, watching other hopefuls' performances. Two of them, a male and female, sing a duet together with a lot of soul and power. Tina and Blaine are suddenly nervous because they don't know if they'll make it in. To make all things fair, Tina agreed that she and Blaine help each other make it through their callbacks. They spent a lot of time together working on vocals, dance moves, and facial expressions. As the day of callbacks come closer, they get nervous. They get calls from their significant others (Mike and Kurt), both encouraging them that they'll be amazing.

The dean of the school comes to McKinley and had already auditioned 3 other people. Then it was Tina's turn. She performed a Broadway number, which made the dean very pleased. Blaine went after and performed an 80's song. The dean was also pleased with him as well. After their callbacks, Tina and Blaine wish each other luck. However when they receive their acceptance letters, Tina makes it in but Blaine doesn't. Tina feels bad for him, but Blaine says that he gets a callback for NYADA. He is okay with it because he would be able to be closer to Kurt. Tina later tells Mike that she won't be in Chicago with him due to Tina getting accepted. Mike is okay with it, and hopes that they will at least make some contact while in school. Mike confirms that the two are still together.

In addition to helping Brittany study to graduate, Artie finding a lucky girl, Sugar and Rory with their relationship, adding members to the God Squad, Joe with his religious problems, and Blaine making it to the college of his choice, Tina graduates successfully and heads on with her future.

Well, that's my storyline idea for Tina Cohen-Chang. What do you think will happen with Tina this season? I hope you liked my story idea.

Tinkers here. It seems that new photos have surfaced of the set of Glee, originally posted on the “Pictures from the set” thread on gleeforum.com! This photo depicts some sort of dance session at a mall, lead by Artie! But…where’s his wheelchair?!
What do you think? Dream sequence? Or is Artie going to miraculously raise from his wheelchair and bust a few tidy moves? Click on the photo to view it at full size.
Post below, and click “more” to view the other photo from the set!
Another photo, looking down on the crew and a couple of Gleeks in between takes. If you squint, you can clearly see Jenna and Artie in full costume!
