Read Chapters 1 and 2 before. Might not make sense otherwise.

Wilson slammed the door as he left the apartment, seething with hidden anger.

All he ever does is wait for me to save him. One voice said in his head.

"He needs the pills." Wilson said aloud.

Doesn't always need them from you. He's got a whole department of young doctors waiting to kiss his ass, and Cuddy.

"She wouldn't give him Vicodin. I had to pull strings just for me to give him Oxy."

Just leave him

"I-I can't." Wilson said adamantly. "I can't, he needs me." And with that he blocked out the vioce in his head and strode out to the car.

********

House heard Wilson slam the door shut.

Boy, he's angry. House thought.

"Pills. Vicodin or Oxy..."

Or none A voice in his head thought.

"I need the pills."

No you don't theres plenty of other ways you could manage the pain. PT, other painkillers.

"They don't work."

Just leave them

"I-I can't." House muttered. "I can't. I'm in pain."

********

Wilson got into the car, still blocking the voice and drove off. He was going to PPTH, and had a call to make. He grabbed his mobile out of his pocket and made a call.

********

"What's my life worth?" House said to himself. He hadn't taken a pill. "All I ever do is take pills. Nothing interesting either, the most I ever do is solve a couple of cases."

The depression with the pain he was in had started to settle, and his leg was throbbing as spasms went up and down in.

"Better go do something before it's too late." He said and got up. The room swayed around him. The Morphine had worn off but his leg made him nauseous and dizzy. He grabbed the bedside table and the bed to pull himself up, and picked up his cane.

House limped into the bathroom to have a shower, something he hated doing because everything he did it he saw his leg. After his shower he got changed and grabbed his motorcycle helmet and jacket, put the pills in the jacket just in case and limped out of the door.

"How 'bout we go for a ride?" House said to himself and moved towards the bike. The bike. His one thing that he clung to above all else. Why?

"Because it makes me not feel like a useless cripple." House said aloud.

He limped right up to the bike, put the cane is the holder, lifted his right leg with both of his hands and sat on the bike, putting the ignition in the engine. The bike roared.

"Yeah!" House yelled and rode out. He wasn't high anymore, but even if Morphine is out of your system it still leaves a mark. For one thing, there was the puncture mark that was hidden by the jacket, but could be found on close inspection.

It was bright outside, so as House rode out he put sunglasses on under his visor. He sped out onto the main road and zoomed off.

********

"Cuddy speaking" said a voice on the other side of Wilson's phone.

"Cuddy, this is Wilson." Wilson replied.

"What's going on? Why isn't House in at work?"

"His leg hurts."

"If I let him off work everytime his leg hurt, I wouldn't need his department."

"Point taken, but this time it really hurts - I had to give him Morphine."

"What?!" Cuddy exclaimed. "Where did you even find it?"

"Ummm, he has some hidden. Presumably for days like this."

"Yes, well it;s not exactly helping his habit is it?"

"No." Wilson said, but with that he hung up the phone.

********

House was having a great ride, sure his leg was killing him, but he was pretty sure he was having enough of a good time to block it out for a bit. As he was swerving on the deserted road to try and block the pain more, a police car pulled up behind him.

"Great, just what I need ever after Tritter. Another cop to look into my record." House muttered and pulled over. Because his leg was aching so much he stayed seated on the bike.

"Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to remove yourself from the bike." The burly cop said.

"Not gonna happen." House replied. "You'd like a look at my license I'll bet." As he reached around to get it a spasm went up his leg and he grimaced in pain.

"Sir, I'll ask again." The cop said reaching for the license but still talking. "Please remove yourself from the bike."

"Fine, don't mind that there might actually be a reason for me being on there still. Couldn't possibly be a reason for it could there?"

"Watch it" The cop said threateningly. He wasn't having a good day, and House's sarcastic remarks could piss anyone off.

House was having trouble getting off the bike, his leg having stiffened up from the long ride he'd taken. Eventually, he decided that the easiest thing to do was manage to sit side-saddle and get down from there. After doing that, he reached into his pocket for the Oxy that he had in there.

"Oi!" The cop yelled. "Get that hand out of there!"

"I'm just getting something."

"Out, now! Hands where I can see them!"

House's leg was protesting from the treatment it had been getting, and now having to stand on it was putting extra pressure on it.

"I need what's in there." House said. He always tried not to say he was on pain meds. It always made people pity him.

"Thats it!" The cop brought out his baton and swung it at House's hand, knocking it and the pills from his pocket.

"Hey!"

The cop then grabbed both House's arms, pulled them behind his back and cuffed them, and for extra protection for himself applied pressure on House's leg. Unfortunately, the way this had worked out for House was the his right leg was in line-of-fire for the cops knee, and his whole leg was crunched against his bike.

"Shit! Watch where you're sticking that!" House yelled, unable to keep his voice from cracking. His leg now throbbing and aching on a nine to a nine-and-a-half. What it was this morning. The only thing stopping him from falling over then and there was the cops leg, that when it felt House collapsing proceeded to dig in further.

"Stand up straight!"

"I can't."

"What, did I hurt you?" The cop said sarcastically, giving House a taste of his own medicine.

"Y-yes," it almost killed House to say it but he had nearly blacked out from the pain and was sagging even more from the increased pressure. The top of his thigh was digging into one of the pipes on his bike.

"GET UP!"

"Just let me down, please!"

"Righty-o" The cop said and let House fall to the ground. When he hit it House struggled to move off his right leg, which again had taken a beating.

"Nu-uh. Thats the oldest trick in the book." The cop said as he leant down to pick up the pills. The look of desperation in House's eyes were missed, before he blacked out from the pain.

"Oh shit, not again. Now I've gotta take this one in too."

The cop pulled out his walkie-talkie and spoke into it; "I've got an arrest, made on 'Hollow Road'. Arrested for dangerous riding, resisting arrest and suspected drug abuse. Need someone to tow a bike."

"Let's get you outta here!"

As the cop picked House up he noticed the cane strapped onto the bike.

"Oh shit."

As well as other things that got you embarrassed, arresting a cripple who may or may not have been reaching for pills, that may or may not have been painkillers, which he may or may not have needed was pretty high up on the list as well as letting a criminal get away.

"Cane could have been for anything." The cop said to himself. He'd arrested him now, no more thinking about it. Taking more care now he picked House up, supporting his right leg that he assumed the injury was on. When he reached the leg and carried him over to the car he was shocked when he felt a dent where muscle should have been.

"Well I'm screwed." The cop said, his face going red.

A/N - At the beginning, the similarity with what House and Wilson were saying was SUPPOSED to be like that, incase you were wondering.

Just a short fanfic about Stacy returning to the hospital.

A Second Chance

A day like any other. Not much happening in the hospital. I had just solved another case, and was now in the process of avoiding my clinic hours by cleverly hiding in the last place Cuddy would ever look for me… the clinic. As it approached five o’clock I got ready to go home for the day. As I limped out of the hospital I saw the one person I never thought I would see again. The woman who broke my heart, Stacey. I just stood there a moment staring. I finally walked up to her. She said softly and almost shyly, “Hi,...

Chapter 18

House was understandably surprised, but that was the least of Thirteen’s worries. Bo was smart. She would catch on. Maybe she already had. She had told House enough that he knew what was going on. She was brilliant, but he wasn’t psychic. Obviously shed told him quite a bit. She may have even had part of it figured out when she talked to him. This wasn’t how or when Thirteen would have chosen for Bo to find out, but it seemed she didn’t have much of a choice.

“Excuse me,” she said,...

Drip, drop, drip, drop. You could hear the precipitation as it slowly began to rain. Drip after drop the rain fell harder and faster as it hit every roof and window. A rather young girl, in a brown over coat covering her head, stood outside a rather large building.
She hesitantly took a step towards the building, debating whether or not to get any closer, watching as people moved from here to there and from there to here. She swallowed hard and went with her gut. Then slowly, yet surely, she pushed through the see through doors and entered the building.
She started looking around for someone...

Lool, at the beginning, this story is rather cute, but at the end it gets a little dirty and Wilson is slightly ooc xD Haha, be warned.

„It´s lunchtime, kiddies!“, she called and not a minute later, 4 children ran into the dining-room, filling it with laughter.
„Where´s daddy?“, Orlando, her eldest son, who was eight now, asked and looked around.
„He´ s still at work.“, Remy replied and started to give plates to all of them.
„Yesterday he promised to be here for lunch!!“, Alexis, the second oldest, complained.
„Yeah, that´s so true!“
Remy softly looked at her three sons. All...

Chapter 12 – Good Kiss Good Dream -

Cuddy got home and kept that strange moment in her mind. He was so close to her. Was he thinking about giving her a chance? Was he giving her a sign? She was confused and tired. Once inside, Cuddy left her briefcase and purse on the floor, took her coat and fell on the sofa. She fell asleep instantly.

Suddenly, she heard her mobile ringing. Not now, she thought. Yawning she picked it up.

“Hello?”

“Were you sleeping?”

“House?” She asked, more awaked.

“Who else...” He said.

“What do you want? I’m tired I need to sleep.”

“Don’t hang up!”...

Ok, so, this basically is set after Kutners death, and basically Cuddy and House hooking up afterwards, but, the hook up won't come until later in the story. Anyways, hope you like it! Enjoy!
========================

He hated reality, more than anything else. The realization that his pain would never subside. The realization that his loneliness would never be fully cured. And the fact that the woman he was so madly in love with, could never be his. These were the realizations he woke up to every morning. But, this morning was different, not only because it was the morning after Kutners death,...

It didn't matter what he was thinking. It didn't matter what he was feeling.
Everything was misty and clouded.
Grey was in the air, bleak, indifferent and gruesomely peaceful in its apathy.
He was almost sure that it would last this time, that it had taken control and would remain. Maybe not the worst thing that had happened in his life.
The shards and ashes that had once been his existence had been there for a quite a while,...

Through the sky

The sun shined though the bright white clouds in a perfect portrait of a summer’s day. Breezes swished about rustling the branches and ferns that grew along the side of pavement. Gravel took flight as a hunter green blur sped passed. It landed a few inches away, still surrounded by more jagged small rock and dirt. Along the gravel, the ground shifted its axis up mere millimeters to smooth, level pavement. The white stripe was dirty in color, and well worn out but the road itself was in pristine condition, with, at regular intervals, expansion grids that ran the length of the...

Who knows, she's lost count
She listened to the water of the shower without getting in
She imagines blood pouring down like little raindrops on her face
It's so pretty, red hope

Tiny droplets of blood welling up to greet her

Thirteen just sat there looking at the results. She knew it was likely but she just couldn't believe it. She was positive for Huntington's. Positive. She felt a single tear run softly down her cheek as she just stared at the results.

How did she feel? Distraught. Broken. Desperate. But she didn't feel anger, she doesn't know why, she just didn't feel it.

She jumped when she heard someone walk in through the door, as she quickly wiped away that single tear.

'Hey, I was just walking past and I saw in here, so...' Wilson said, slightly nervous. Then he tilted his head a little and gave her that...

Cuddy had given House the address and directed his driving the whole way there. Usually he would have made snide remarks about her passenger seat driving, but he knew she was worried. He also knew that she had reason to be worried, and just stayed quiet, letting her direct him. He pulled up to the building and they got out, going up to the fourth floor.

As they came to a stop, and started whispering about what to do, outside Genny’s large sliding door they hear strange noises. They stopped whispering to each other and listened more closely. When they didn’t hear anything, House spoke up,...

Gregory House passed away on a rainy September afternoon after falling asleep on the couch and not waking up again; he'd been sighted limping through the corridors of the Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital for eleven years, and now the steady thud of his trusty cane would never haunt another man again.

The good news? It wasn't liver-failure, a drug overdose, a heart attack, a bike accident, a gunshot... it was life.

Wilson, who by then had found another girlfriend and had moved in with her, found him. He called 911 and vaguely heard an EMT call time of death as his world spun around him...

Cuddy was still in shock as she stood staring at the door that had just been literally slammed shut in her face. As her brain caught up to her body, she decided she should probably go back to the hospital. She wanted to see if she could find some kind of help for Genny. As she was driving back, Cuddy did the math in her head. The answers Genny had given would make her twenty two today, not twenty five.

Cuddy was almost certain she had found her daughter, and was determined to help Genny, even if it turned out she wasn’t. She would have to wait until Genny would talk to her again to get consent...

"Why? Thirteen, Taub, and Foreman are enough."
"But they're all very similar in their diagnostic perspectives. You need someone who is an idealist. You need someone willing to go along with some of your crazy ideas when their most likely right."
House sat down on his Eames chair. Cuddy sat on the ottoman.

It occurred to me while I was writing this how ironic it is that this is chapter 13.

Also, don't hate me. You'll understand once you read this.

Chapter 13

Yesterday hadn’t been a very productive day for Thirteen. House had even commented on how her attention span had been about that of a goldfish. She hadn’t been able to help it. She’d been too nervous about the results of her daughter’s test. She’d spent the entire day screwing up things she would have normally had trouble with. She’d tried to insert a folded up five dollar bill into the coin slot on the vending machine in the cafeteria,...
