She rolled on her side and there he was. Sleeping calmly with a big smile on his face.
She knew him so well, he must have been dreaming something great. Someone great. Perhaps her. Perhaps not.
She knew him so well, so why did that smile on his face bother her that much. Did it hide something she didn’t want to see?
Did it say something she didn’t want to hear?
Perhaps, perhaps not.
He was so peaceful, he wasn’t moving, almost like he wasn’t breathing at all.
What was he dreaming about?
He was hers. She knew that.
But what was he dreaming about?
What was that smile for?
“Kiss me” she said.
“Ok…” he smiled devilishly.
“You smile like you are up to something.” She teased him.
“I am…” he smiled again.
“Well, show me what you’re up to then.” She grinned.
He smiled once again before leaning forwards. His lips meeting hers.
“That feels so good…” she said between the kisses.
“Yeah?” he said trying to catch a breath.
“Yeah… Give me more” she demanded, playfully.
“I would give you everything!” he returned.
She gave him a quick peck and he reciprocated with more passion.
For a moment, there they were, just enjoying their kisses. Catching breaths in between.
“So give me everything then.” She whispered.
“I will… I will…” he returned before taking her in his arms and carrying her to the bedroom.
She looked at him once again. The sun was starting to rise. She looked at him just in time to find him opening his eyes. Smile still hanging on his beautiful face.
“What’s that about?” she asked him.
“What’s what about?” he was confused.
“That smile… what did you dream of? Who did you dream of?” she was so curious.
“You… I dreamed of you, Jo.” He said with a little bit indecisive tone.
He was lying.
But he was hers.
Every part of the day except night.
She knows.
