I have no idea how many chapters I am going with this. Just a little fun in light of the recent pictures and videos that have kept us so entertained this past week. I hope you all enjoy.
Shooting had just ended for the cast of House in preparation for the People’s Choice Awards that night. Lisa Edelstein was getting her last minute hair and make up touches done before jumping in the limo and heading to the awards ceremony. Olivia sat next to her getting primped as well.
“So how is your ankle?” Olivia asked.
“Not bad but I have to wear flats. They found some cute ones so I should be ok.” Lisa was currently getting her hair sprayed.
“Do you know where we are sitting?”
“Well, I would imagine Hugh will be up front somewhere since he is winning for best actor. I hope they have us not too far away because I don’t want to have to walk too far.”
“Good point. Who are you riding with?”
“I have no clue. There are about 14 of us going and I don’t know how many limos so I guess we will see how many of us can cram in.” Lisa laughed at this thought and Olivia giggled along.
Just then Omar came walking in through make up.
“Ladies, you look great, both of you.” He was smiling.
“You don’t look too bad yourself” Olivia gave his right arm a fake punch.
“I think we are leaving in about 15 minutes so I will meet you girls outside.”
There was a rush to get last minute touches done and gowns on and then they all were standing in the lot at the studio getting in line to get in the limos that were lined up waiting for them.
Lisa looked over Peter’s head and glanced at Hugh who looked amazing in his dark suit and red tie. Just then he turned and looked at her and they both stared for about two seconds. They had uncanny timing in that way. They could feel each other looking through walls she thought. Lisa smiled and Hugh started to break a grin when David put his hand on Hugh’s back and ushered him into the limo. Katie and Peter were along in that one too. Next thing Lisa knew she was getting in to a limo with Jesse and some others, but no Hugh. Oh well. She tried to enjoy herself all the same.
“Jesse, when we go to walk up, I am a little worried about the stairs. Can you help me up if I you to?”
“Of course I will! I won’t let you fall.” he was always such a dear to her.
Within no time they were at the red carpet. Lisa felt surrounded by flashing lights and people ushering her here and there. There were well known celebrities everywhere and producers. Most of the people around her were strangers. She couldn’t see much since she was shorter than normal in her flats. She followed everyone else down to the front of the theatre and watched the back of Hugh’s head as he was ushered up front, alone.
“How many rows do we have here for just us?” David asked one of the seating coordinators.
“You all sit in this row except Ms. Edelstein. You will be sitting up front.”
Lisa tried not to seem shocked.
“What? Why am I sitting up front?” She asked.
“Mr. Laurie said you were to sit up front with him.”
Lisa glanced back at the front seats and saw Hugh giving her a boyish grin.
