10 Minutes: 17 Seconds Until Detonation
Marlene raced around a corner and into a room. She knew exactly what she had to do. Kowalski had talked about an emergency intercom & how to use it before they started their mission. She picked up the phone in the room & dialed 0001. A couple of seconds later she heard the beep through the phone indicating she was online. She put on her best computer voice. “Bomb threat detected. Evacuate immediately. Repeat. Bomb threat detected. Evacuate immediately.” She heard her voice echo throughout the halls. She smiled at the sound of panicking people making their way to the stairs.
10 Minutes: 17 Seconds Until Detonation
Kowalski was frantically typing at the computer looking for a solution. They had no idea how they were getting out of that room. “Skipper…why did you lie to Marlene about our plan to escape?” Private asked. “Because Private! I need her to evacuate the building! And I didn’t want her staying & risking her life to try to help us. We’re getting out of here. I just don’t kn…” He was interrupted by the intercom. “Bomb threat detected. Evacuate immediately. Repeat. Bomb threat detected. Evacuate immediately.” Skipper smiled. “Atta girl Marlene.” He said softly.
Kowalski stood up while looking at his smartphone. “Skipper! Do you realize what this means?!” He said with a happy tone to his voice. Skipper was puzzled. “What do you mean?” Kowalski walked over to him & showed him his smartphone. Displayed on the screen was the view from downstairs. The security team was rushing everyone out the door. “OK, I don’t get it.” Kowalski cleared things up. “With the whole bomb business the security team is going to be evacuating everyone therefore meaning…” Skipper cut him off & finished his sentence. “Meaning that we could break out of this room & the silent alarm would be ignored! They’d just think someone was just too much in a hurry trying to escape!” He whipped around and went over to the door.
With one powerful kick he bursts the door open & the team started their escape.

6:48am
Marlene woke up tied to a chair, gagged. She slowly opened her eyes. She took in her surroundings; she was alone in a room. The room had white walls with a high ceiling, and…Marlene stopped breathing for a moment. Her eyes widened. On the wall to her left was a big red stain. She didn't need to ask what it was. She frantically looked around, trying to find way to free herself. There was nothing. She started to panic even more when she saw cuffs hanging from the ceiling, with a whip hanging on the wall a few feet from that on her right. She tried to move her feet, but looked down to see that they were tied to the legs of the chair. What she saw next seemed to stop her heart. There were wires connected to the chair, she followed where they led slowly with her eyes. She gasped through the gag, the wires led to a big switch. She knew exactly where she was. She was in a torture chamber.

Kowalski & Rico were busy discussing how they were going to find Blowhole and Private was listening carefully. Suddenly there was a slow knock on the door. Kowalski went over and answered it & saw Marlene standing at the door. “Oh my GOD!” Kowalski exclaimed. Marlene looked as though she had been tortured. She was bruised, & had a bad cut on her head. Her hair was in tangles & mats & here clothes were ripped. Kowalski caught her as she fell into his arms. Rico & Private went to go help Marlene in. She was limping, sweating, & her breathing was heavy. “What happened to you!?” Private asked as the three of them set her on their leather couch. But Marlene had passed out. “Kowalski! I thought she called you telling you she got home safely!” Private said. “She did! I don’t understand…I…I don’t understand…” Kowalski told them. Rico put a cold wet cloth to Marlene’s head. They couldn’t even begin to guess what had happened to Marlene.
