Okay this is a birthday story for L! it's a cute romantic one using my shinigami oc. It's romantic because L needs some
Love on his b-day! 

"are those strawberries?!" L asked. Samira pushed the cake towards L.
"yep! I know there your favorite. It's strawberry flavored cake too!" she pointed at the ring of berries around the edge of the cake. L smiled and took two forks out of his pocket. He tossed one to Samira who clumsily tried to catch it, but ended up on the floor. 
"you know... It's weird how human you look..." L said. He stared at samiras unmasked face in awe of her beauty. 
"well... Like said I'm a-a-a fallen angel that's it!" she lied. Samira had kept the fact that she was a shinigami a secret from L as she knew if she told him he would never trust her. L began to cut the cake carefully and put two large slices on his plate. 
"hmm... I wonder how you would look I something other that raven outfit you wear." he said. Samira blushed after hearing this, she had never thought of
Doing that before. 
"if I had other clothing i would try it I suppose. But I have a feeling you wouldn't like any of what you see..." her voice trailed off. As a shinigami she had been gift with at least one scary part of her body, and that part happened to be her legs. They were horribly skinny and black as night, with long sharp talons on the end of each toe. Samiras legs actually resembled a ravens legs rather well. 
"and why is that?" L questioned. 
"my legs arent exactly a kind sight." she answered.
"Samira I know it's my birthday today, but would you put something else on? I even got you some other clothes to try." he said. Samira blushed deeply and rosebushes of embarassment bloomed on her cheeks. 
"oh... Uh... Errr... I don't know L..." 
"well here, try these." 
"that's a big bag..." 
"well there are lots of options." 
"okay... I guess I'll try them.. But only because it's your birthday!" she said with a laugh and grabbed the bag. L enjoyed his pieces of cake while Samira
Tried on the first piece. 
"umm... L?" she called.
"huh?" he said with a mouthful. Samira walked out in a short skimpy dress that revealed most of her legs and breasts.
"any reason this is so... Revealing?" she asked. Samira blushed a horrid shade of red and purple, for she had never worn anything other than her raven outfit before. And while that was revealing, she thought this was a million times worse.
"oh! Oh dear! Umm...." L said. He didn't mean for Samira to find the dress he had gotten for her, or for her to try it on. 
"L...?" she said.
"I h-had to get that! I mean it would look weird if a guy went to a Romans clothing shop for just womans clothing! I errr- I had to buy some sort of laungere so it looked like I was just buying things for my g-g-girlfriend!" he lied. L was truly at a loss, on one hand he thought Samira looked amazing and overall the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. But on the other hand he felt horrible having to lie about the real reason he had bought her laungere. 
"I-I'm going to change..." she said. L was to absorbed in the way she looked to hear any of what she had said. Quickly, before she was gone he snapped a picture of her using his cellphone. Samira hurried to the bathroom as she was very embarassed by the skimpy dress she was in. She reached to her back in an attempt to locate the zipper. 
'oh no! Its stuck! I can go back out there! I can't wear this in front of L! I saw the way he was looking at my legs...' she thought. But after a few minutes she convinced herself that they were just friends and L was a sensible man. 
"uhmm L?" she said.
"ya Samira." L replied with mouthful of cake. 
"the-the z-zipper is stuck... Can you help me?" she asked.
"o-of course!" he said. L went rushing into the bathroom to help her. 
"it's just right in the back. She if you can get it undone." 
"yep yeah I got it!" 
"I'm sorry..."
"about?"
"this whole thing... Should have known better than to try it on..."
"don't be sorry.. I should have known better than to buy it..." L grumbled.
"I'm the worlds greatest detective and I couldnt come up with a better plan than to buy laungere?!" Samira laughed at this. She was still blushing badly but felt better after his comment. 
"oh L. Hahahaha" Samira said. L looked into the mirror while he continued to try and undo the zipper. 
"your face...." he whispered.
"what? My face? Is it that bad?" she said.
"no no no no no! I meant that uhhh... It has a smudge right here."he indicated a small black spot on her cheek. 
"oh that... Just a birthmark." she answered shyly. 
"you sure? Let me see that." he turned her around facing him. L looked at her eyes and realized how close her face was to his. L followed his instinct and leaned in, samira also leaned closer to L. But before there lips met she fell into his arms. Samira had fainted.
"oh! Oh dear! Samira!" L slapped her face lightly. "are you okay?! Oh no what should I do?!" after running around aimlessly for a few minutes, L picked her up and lightly slid her onto the couch. He leaned in to listen for a breath. Samiras eyes fluttered open and she saw L's cheek near her mouth, she lifted herself up slowly and pecked his cheek.
"happy birthday L." she said. L drew a hand to where she had kissed her.
"Samira?"
