Day #1 of Edward's return
I run across the hard packed snow onto the large body of frozen water. Letting ice crystals scrape at my claws. I close my eyes and inhale smooth crisp air, clenching my teeth remembering his cold pale hand on her shoulder. I went through a small rage and sped across the gravely smokey waters. I skid across the ice swiftly turning with inhuman grace. I open my eyes to see Edward standing about 20 feet away. What? He'd followed me? No.. I must be dreaming.
Even though I thought this was all a dream. A flush a rage rose in me and burst through my lungs. I felt a deep growl slip with the enourmous amount of air. I broke free of my stiffness and pounded the ice with my claws heading toward him hoping to knock him off his feet. Maybe, even break a few of his sinful pale ribs. My eyes burned with fury as wind slashes my face. I didn't care. The emotional invisble arrow that'd struck my heart slipped unruly words of a broken heart into my ears. I peeled my dry lips apart from each other, baring my glimmering white fangs, fangs different from his. Out of no where mist collects in front of my eyes in the form of..
Bella.
She turned around to me, her eyes widened with fear. She grimaced as if I'd already hit her. Turning away from me she hid her pale face in Edward's chest. He smiled maliciously at me. I dug my nails deep into the granite tough ice until they were drenched with a deep and dark cherry liquid. I flew inches away from the figures of Bella and Edward. As soon as I came within touching distance of them they dissolved away into the clouds.
Emotional pain consumed me rather than physical pain. My body was numbed by the heart break. I brought myself to stand on all fours, I picked my head up from its hanging position. Dissapointment and shame washed over me. I leaned very far back and howled the loudest most mournful howl I had to keep within my memories. My body fell hard to the pale blue ice. I strained to stay awake but the darkness overcame my thoughts. The image of what couldv'e been, me smashing into Bella. Crushing every bone in her body. The realisticness of my own imagination threw me into a panic. I whimpered, breathing heavily, hard and quick. My eye lids became heavy and the world became blurry. I let myself slip away to the blackness praying to God that I wake up..and this never.. happened.. ever..
Day #2 of Edward's Return
I woke to feel of smooth fabric beneath me. Deep blue sheets were crumbled by my feet. I swung my feet over the edge of the bed to let them fall to the floor. Rough and bristly. I reach up to the cloudless sky streching all of my muscles. I close my eyes and let out an exhauseted yawn. I stepped onto the colder than ice wood floor. My memories flashed back to me in brisk movements. I was hit with my past so fast, I was knocked back. I landed on my back stunned and dazed. I opened my eyes after one long blink. The air in me lungs was deprived of me. I took in one long strained breath. My eyes begged for water.
I slowly stood up and unconciouslly walked to the bathroom. I awoke from the dazed state and cupped a handfull of water and splashed it onto my face. My eyes grew wide with fear. It was... a dream... right? I wondered, searching all of my memories distant and far for one scrap of the dream. I almost reached out to grab the invisible shard that'd I'd finally uncovered. I tried dessperatly to remember it. It, or what I thought what should be it, glimmered with light and a soft movie played behind my closed eyes.
A wolf running on ice then abruply turning and looking back at... nothing. It charged with fury then fear spread across its solemn face. It dug its nails deep into the ice so far it cut its ankles and it bled exssesivly. It breathed hard then stood up from its strange skid fall. It arched its back and howled at the moon, its voice filled with saddness and regret.
The picture pulled away, fading slowly. Wha--That was me.. ? What.. what was I looking at? I glance at my hands to see if they were scabbed with dried blood. Nothing.. Had he really healed that fast? Was that even him?
Pushing away from the sink I gently place a hand to my forehead, confused and frusterated. Bella... I need you..
I leaned against the wall and sank down to the floor. My arms hung at my sides and a blank expression covered my features. Bella... No... I need you..
