The days that past I never though of much else besides Jasper. It annoyed me and upset me. I was so angry with Maria for taking him. Angry at him for going and Angry at myself for trusting someone else. I ran my fingers through my hair and looked to Lexi, Alli Rae and Liam. My family… except Alli Rae. She was new. But if she played up I’m sure it would take me less than a human heartbeat to kill her. We rode on through the towns and I looked around. ‘Where are we?’ I asked Liam. He sighed ‘Washington.’ He replied. I kicked on and we rode forth on to the docks. I slipped off the horse and we walked onto the boat. I lay in a bunk beside Liam in our cabin. His arms wrapped around me and he held me close. ‘How are you holding up?’ He asked. I sighed and cuddled into his neck. ‘I’m not’ I replied simply. ‘I miss him’ I sighed. Liam stroked my hair. ‘I know I know. Don’t worry we will find Godric’ he said. I nodded and closed my eyes letting him play with my hair as the boat set sail. ‘Where did you clear off too anyway?’ I asked him. He shrugged gently ‘All over really. I visited Ireland and England’ He said. ‘Is it nice there?’ I asked my eyes still closed. ‘no. No Texan sun and no Evie’ He smiled. I smirked. ‘Suck up’ I replied. ‘Ohh someone has gotten hard ass’ He said. I shrugged. ‘Im sick of being pushed around’ I sighed. He nodded to this and pulled the blanket up to my chest and tilted my head to him. I opened my eyes and looked back at the large red eyes he gazed down. ‘I missed you Evie’ He said with a small smile. ‘I missed you too’ I smiled slightly. It was true I had missed his company along the way but right now I was sure this wasn’t the matter he had at hand. His hand rested on my waist and he pulled me gently closer to him. Our lips met for the first time in around a year. I relaxed to the familiar scent and feeling of Liam that night.
The door knocked and I groaned. ‘What?’ I demanded. ‘Evie. Get your ass out of bed.’ Lexi commanded. ‘Get lost Lex’ I replied with a scowl. ‘Get the fuck up before I come in and drag you up’ She said in a harsh tone. ‘URGH Fine. Moody cow. Who put sand in your crack this morning?’ I asked as I reached over the bunk and the sleeping Liam to my clothes. ‘a pair of randy immortals in the NEXT ROOM. If you two were any louder. The entire ship would have herd you! I got NO SLEEP’ She yelled. I sniggered and pulled on a dress. The light blue satin hung from the corset nicely and the skirt was long and made me look very grand. I opened the door and God. Did she look a mess? Her eyes were red and she looked seriously sleepy. ‘Sorry!’ I replied with my hands up innocently. She scoffed and walked off down the corridor. ‘Lexi. Hush. It wasn’t that bad.’ I said catching up with her. ‘Oh yeah? Shall I repeat what he moaned?’ she said. My eyes widened. ‘Er no its ok’ I said walking by her side. ‘Ill buy you a drink’ I smirked. She rolled her eyes. ‘You may buy me the bar’ she said. As we walked into the dinning area we took a seat and Lexi sighed at me. ‘Your hair needs done’ She said. I smiled innocently at her and she rolled her eyes and moved over beside me to begin to fix my hair. She tugged her comb through it and growled. ‘Why do you keep it at such an ungodly length?’ She asked. I shrugged. ‘I like it’ I smirked. She tore the comb through it once more and sat down. ‘There.’ she said admiring her own work. When the waiter came and asked us for our morning order Lexi eyed him up and down I smirked pulling out my fan and hiding my smirk behind it. ‘Ill have the fresh fruit and wine’ Lexi asked then and he nodded but never took his eyes off her. I cleared my throat. ‘Ill have the same’ I said, he snapped out of his daydream and nodded to me before walking briskly off. I raised my eyebrows to her. ‘Are you planning on getting payback on me?’ I asked. She nodded and rested her elbows on the table then rested her head on her hands. I twisted my wedding ring around my finger then. ‘Mrs Whitlock?’ The waiter asked and I looked to him as he lay my meal in front of me. He looked to Lexi and she smiled. ‘Miss Whitlock’ She said. ‘I’m her sister’ she smiled to him and he put her meal in front of her. ‘Nice to meet you’ He said with a nervous smile. ‘Alexa’ She said extending her hand to him. She shrugged. ‘A major?’. I scowled. ‘Shut up’ I took her wine and poured it down my throat. We sat and flicked bits of our food around the dinning hall. We dank about 3 bottles of wine in the morning alone. Life just didn’t seem entertaining. My eyes widened and my head turned to the door. I just got the best scent of my life. I stood up and walked to the girl standing at the door. Her blood smelt amazing. I smiled to her. ‘M’am come with me’ I said and offered her arm. She took it and I took in her appearance. New money. White dress, blonde hair and a furry shall. She must have thought I was here to escort her. I took her to the back of the boat and looked to her. ‘Sorry if this hurts.’. Before she could even let out a scream I had jumped from the boat and ran to shore. I closed my eyes and centred myself as I tried to figure how far Italy was, form wherever I was. The sun was only rising here…in Texas it was setting…I didn’t a few quick mental maths sums before running east. I had her over my shoulder as I ran and ran. There were no seas or rivers so I began to get confused until I stopped my immortal blur of a run. I grinned to the building. It was easy. Like a scent. I walked on in through the large iron gates of the Volturi castle. I walked through the halls and into the main room. Aro’s eyes widened to me. I threw the passed out girl to the floor. ‘Sorry for my lateness. But this is not an easy job’ I said. Aro beamed and walked to the girl. ‘Thank you very much. Take as much time as you need.’ He replied. I looked to the other members and noticed Carlisle was not there. Pity. He was the best looking of them all. The girl whimpered as Aro sank his teeth into her but he broke from her and grinned. ‘Wonderful!’ He said. I nodded as the other 2 members rose to also feed from her. I walked backwards from the room and ran off in my immortal blur to now search for the ship. West now. Again I ran for an hour until I found the ship. It was out to sea and a humans eyes would not have picked it up but I knew. I dived into the water and swam at an immortals pace. I gripped the side of the boat and pulled myself up onto the stern. A few shocked faces looked to me as they past but I ignored them walking to my cabin. Liam was not here but his suitcase was so I guessed he was just out around the ship. I walked to the bathroom and had a long hot bath washing my hair. The door slammed and I heard a loud growl. I got out of the bath and pulled a towel around me walking into the bedroom. ‘Liam?’ I asked. His eyes looked to me and he ran to me picking me up and holding me to him. ‘Where the hell did you go!? I’ve been so worried!’ He said. I pushed from him. ‘I had to eat’ I laughed. He nodded. ‘But Lexi said you had a girl but you ran, and we couldn’t find you’ He said narrowing his eyes. I decided they were not ready to know about me working for the Volturi. So I lied. ‘I took her to land to dump the body. The last thing we need is all these people asking questions about a dead body’ I said. Liam nodded and hugged me ‘Your right I’m sorry’ I laughed again. ‘Where is Lexi?’ I asked. He held up his hand to silence me and I listened hard. There was a bang and a groan. I sniggered into my hand. ‘Can I take you to dinner at least?’ He asked. He actually meant. ‘Can I take you to get drunk’ So I nodded and pulled on another long elegant dress. Cream this time. I put my hair into a tight bun and we walked into the dinning hall. We sat on the grand chairs near the fire and started to order rounds of whiskey.
