The 1960's Batman show is one of the most beloved superhero shows of all time. With a unique style of camp, acting, humor and heart, the show stands out from the crowd. Although the show only had three seasons, the impact of the show lives on to this day. This guide is for the 60's Batman show, as well as the shows and movies that are associated with it.

In 1966, the Batman television series came out. The show had three seasons. The show was created and narrated by William Dozier. The show starred Adam West and Burt Ward as the Dynamic Duo, with supporting performances from Alan Napier as Alfred, Neil Hamilton as Commissioner Gord, Stafford Repp as Chief O'Hara and Madge Blake as Aunt Harriet. Yvonne Craig was added as Batgirl in the third season.

In 1966, there was a movie that was called Batman: The Movie. Adam West and Burt Ward reprised their roles, along with Cesar Romero's Joker, Burgess Meredith's Penguin and Frank Gorshin's Riddler. Lee Meriwether substituted for Julie Newmar's Catwoman.

In 1968, The Adventures of Batman cartoon series came out. It was Batman's first cartoon show. The show heavily resembled the live-action show. It even included Chief O'Hara, a character that was created for the live-action show. Olan Soule voiced Batman, Casey Kasem voiced Robin, Jane Webb voiced Batgirl and Catwoman, and Ted Knight voiced the male villains.

In 1977, there was another Batman cartoon show that was inspired by the 60's show. This show was called The New Adventures of Batman. Adam West and Burt Ward returned to voice the Dynamic Duo, while Melendy Britt voiced Batgirl and Catwoman, and Lennie Weinrib voiced the male villains.

In 1979, there was a two-part television special that was called Legends of the Superheroes. Adam West, Burt Ward and Frank Gorshin reprised their roles. It was Frank Gorshin's last time playing the Riddler.

In the 1980's, Adam West voiced Batman in Super Friends: The Legendary Super Powers Show and The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians.

In 2003, there was a TV movie that was called Return to the Batcave: The Misadventures of Adam and Burt. It was a comedy film that starred Adam West and Burt Ward, with special appearances by Frank Gorshin, Lee Meriwether and Julie Newmar.

In the 2000's, there was a cartoon show called The Batman. Although the show wasn't based on the 60's show, the show did have some cast members from the show, including Adam West as Mayor Grange and Frank Gorshin as Hugo Strange. Also, Adam West made guest appearances in Batman: The Animated Series and Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

In 2016, there was an animated film that served as a reunion for the 60's show. The film was called Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders. The film had the voices of Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar. The film is animated to look like the live-action show. The designs, humor and style of the film serve as a tribute to the classic show.

In 2017, Return of the Caped Crusaders had a sequel that was called Batman vs. Two-Face. Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar returned, while William Shatner voiced Two-Face and Lee Meriwether voiced a new character. The film was Adam West's last time voicing Batman. The film was released shortly after he passed away, so the film is dedicated in his memory.
