Summary: When Joe and Demi go into the studio to practice, it turns out that Joe isn't as discrete as he would like to be.

"Ok so if someone wants going to tell me that today was the day that I was going to tell the women of my dreams that I am in love with her, this wouldn't be my dream setting. I envisioned, when I got up the nerve to tell Demi, that I would tell Demi over a home cooked candlelit dinner, not in a recording studio hallway. But I had no choice so I took the big leap". Joe thought as he reminded about what had just happened.
It had started off wonderful, he had been looking so forward to seeing his girl once again after they had been separated by fate and concerts for about two months. E-mails, texts, tweets and phone calls didn't hold a candle to seeing her beautiful face and being immerse in her magnetic personality. He also love the idea that Demi and he would once again have their own duet, not that he didn't like "On the Line" or "This is Me", he knew that their voices blend together like they were one voice and so he knew that "Catch a Wave" would be an instant hit with their fans.
"Hey DJDanger. I missed you doing and saying silly things in order to make me laugh and I also missed our long, sometimes pointless talks where we look like we are talking about nothing but in the end it turns out to be very important to us. How is life treating my Joey?" Demi had said as soon as she had seen him waiting by the studio's front doors and with a smile had launched herself into his strong arms and had hugged him to the point where he could feel uncomfortable about not being able to breathe if he wasn't squeezing back just as hard and just enjoying the feeling of having the love of his life in his arms again.
" I am super super good, even better now that you are here. Man you smell good, what is that scent? It smells like sunshine, fresh grass and flowers, hey that reminds me of spring. Anyway, Kevin and Nick say hi cause they aren't here. Well of course they aren't here, they aren't part of the duet. Not that recording "On the Line" with them wasn't a hoot cause it was so fun. I should stop talking now. Yup here I go with the stop talking" Joe said in a stutter voice trying not to show his lost coolness by flirting with her like he usually does but failing horribly as he could hear someone snicker beyond him.
"Dude that was pathetic. I mean you were like an embarrassment to all men. I mean you were stuttering all over the place, nobody but a pansy does that. I think it is hilarious that you think that you have any chance of getting that hot chick in that room. It is obvious to me that you are "in love" with her and I think that I should tell her about your little boyish feelings towards her, then we can laugh about it" the sound guy Owen said as he shook his head in despair at Joe being flustered being around Demi.He turned down the hall after mockingly waving at Joe to find Demi.
"No this is not right. I mean I am quite sure that I am not the only guy who gets flustered and nervous when flirting or even being around the most beautiful women of their lives. I can't stop myself, I get all tongue tied and knobbed kneed little boy when I am around Demi. I wanted to be the one to tell her of my undying love, not some jerk who thinks it is funny to be in love with someone. That does it, I have to gather all my courage and tell Demi before Owen does" Joe thought as he rushed down the hallway to find where his lady love was.
He found her in the recording studio setting up the microphones and headphones for both of them. He rushed forward and grabbed Demi's hand off the microphone. "Demi I have been feeling something more then best friend for about two years so I am just going to come out and say it. I am madly head over heels in love with you, it has only grown deeper and stronger over the years and I know that it will continue to grow as we walk the road of life together side by side, even if it isn't as a couple. I will always love you, no matter what your response to this conversation will be.
You are not only beautiful on the outside but also on the inside. You are sweet, sensitive, as much as a dork as me, caring, easy to be around and to talk to, talented both as an actress, singer and songwitter and overall the best person I could ever hope of meeting. I know that I should have told you this sooner but I was scared about our friendships being ruined and I don't want that to happen, because our friendship is one of the most important thing in my life. There it is, my feelings are on the table. Please be gentle with my heart which I have put on the table."
As Joe was talking, Demi's eyes welled up with tears at the sweet, heartwarming words being said, she was certain that she was dreaming that the man of her dreams was standing here in front of her spilling his heart to her in the hopes that she feels the same way. When Joe stopped talking and with puppy dog eyes he looked into her eyes to see if she felt the same way. She threw herself into his arms and kissed him with all the passion in her heart that she had held in for two years. They stood there kissing in the recording studio when they thought they heard someone groan but they ignored them. This was their dream to witness right here and now and they won't let anyone take that dream away from them
