Jennifer Lawrence Apologies For Scratching Her Butt On Sacred Hawaiian Rocks 

Jennifer Lawrence is apologizing for joking about scratching her butt on sacred Hawaiian stones while filming

“I meant absolutely no disrespect to the Hawaiian people,” the actress wrote on Facebook. “I really thought that I was being self deprecating about the fact that I was ‘the curse,’ but I understand the way it was perceived was not funny and I apologize if I offended anyone.”

 Friday, where she recounted a story about how she almost killed a crew member on the set of the second installment in the 

filming was taking place in Hawaii, Lawrence explained, where she was costumed in a wet suit for most of the day. Though she and her costars were warned not to disturb the sacred stones on the coast of the water from the locals, she couldn’t resist using the rocks to relive an itch her wet suit was causing.

“There were sacred rocks … and you’re not supposed to sit on them because you’re not supposed to expose your genitalia to them [but] they were so good for butt itching!” Lawrence told Norton, fellow guest Jamie Oliver and her

“One rock that I was butt-scratching on ended up coming loose,” Lawrence continued. “And it was a giant boulder and it rolled down this mountain and it almost killed our sound guy!”

Lawrence laughed off the incident, but the people of Hawaii saw things differently, with many taking to Twitter to express their disappointment with Lawrence’s attitude towards disturbing the sacred stones.

“It was this huge dramatic deal and all the Hawaiians were like, ‘It’s the curse!’ ” she said.  “And I’m over in the corner going, ‘I’m your curse. I wedged it loose with my ass.’ ”
