Pop rock singer Joe Jonas is inviting families, teens, parents and fans to participate in the iWin Fun Run & Walk on September 18 benefiting Special Olympics Northern California. Joe will be in town with the Jonas Brothers 2010 World Concert Tour and will be performing at the Shoreline Theater the evening of the Fun Run. He has been leading a few fun runs in select U.S. cities in conjunction with the Tour. Joe is the middle brother of the Grammy-nominated and Hollywood Records platinum-selling artists Jonas Brothers. He has teamed up with Special Olympics to raise awareness and funds for the organization which serves millions of individuals with intellectual disabilities throughout the world.
Participants will be encouraged to raise funds online and compete for top prizes including the chance to meet Joe Jonas at the run and win two premier seats for the Jonas Brothers concert at the Shoreline that evening. All proceeds will benefit more than 13,000 Special Olympics athletes in Northern California.
The iWin Fun Run & Walk is one of several family events that Joe Jonas and his own Change for the Children Foundation will be hosting across the country.
"When we put this together, it was an idea, now it's reality," Joe said as he launched his first iWin Fun Run in San Antonio last year. "It's a great thing. It's always been on my heart, Special Olympics - I'm a big fan and I have a lot of friends who are part of Special Olympics who either volunteer or compete."
