End of Chapter 9
***Edward's POV***
We walked out the door and down the hall, not meeting another person until we walked into the main area. There were a few people moving luggage from the entry out the doors, most of them keeping their thoughts on the job and pleasing Jane. One middle aged man's thoughts were filled with thoughts of moving up in the command, he wondered if it would be possible to kill Gabriel, and if that was possible...if he would be placed in the position.
"Edward?" Catarina said as she touched my shoulder.
"Sorry," I said as I shook my head. "Lots of thoughts in this area."
"Jane warned me about your little...'talent'" She said as she realized that I had heard all of her thoughts about how I looked and what she wanted from me. Suddenly she was terribly embarrassed, wishing she would have remembered what Jane told her before she saw me.
"I'm sure she did." I said nonchalantly.
"We must be going," She said as she avoided looking at me.
She stomped out the front door, her heels clacking against the stone floor rhythmically. I smiled slightly as I started after her, wondering if I would be able to use her attraction to me to help my family find me.
Chapter 10
***Edward's POV***
"Edward," Jane sighed as she smiled at me. "How nice of you to join us, I would like to tell you more..but we really must be going."
Jane's ability to sound so happy made me want to reach out and throw her across the plane...but with this many guards...and her 'special ability' I wouldn't be able to get a finger on her before I was on the floor gasping as I wished I would die.
"Thank you Jane." I said as I sat in a seat across from hers. "Where are we going?" I asked as I tried to get any information from her.
"Ah..ahh...ahhhh." She said as she shook her tiny finger at me. "I can't tell you that...why Edward is something wrong with your precious gift?" She teased.
It wasn't until she mentioned it that I noticed I was alone in my head. I was so use to hearing others that I noticed that there was no one in my head but myself. I looked at the woman who sat next to me, focusing on her 'voice'...but there was nothing there but my own thoughts.
"Awwwww poor Edward." Jane teased. "Are you feeling lonely now that the only thoughts you have are your own?"
I wanted to tell her off, but knew better.. I tried to control my anger but next thing I knew there was a growl escaping my lips, which was instantly was echoed by a plane full of people who wanted to hurt me.
"Edward, you should know by now that you will not win." Gabriel said as he turned and grinned.
I sighed loudly as I closed my eyes and focused on my family and Bella, wondering what they were doing at that moment. I knew that someone had to be following us, I knew that my family would not just sit by as someone took me away. I focused on the many things I could do to let them know where we were or where we were going. I knew that no one would just hand me their cell phone and let me call my family, so I would have to figure out sneaky ways to 'leave' clues.
I was lost in my thoughts about clues until in the middle I saw Bella's face. her brown eyes pleading with me. I knew that by now she knew what was going on and she had to be frightened...I needed to keep that in my thoughts, use her as my encouragement to continue on and find a way back.
"We're here." Someone said as I was smacked across the head.
I opened my eyes to see a dreary, cloudy day outside the windows. It was impossible to figure out where I was by the weather..so I realized I would have to get off the plane. I sighed as I stood up and followed a few people off the plane. I was almost to the bottom when I felt someone smash into my back, knocking me to the ground before I could brace myself...if I could have 'heard' them I would have braced myself of fought back...but since I couldn't I was face down on the tarmac with someone on my back. I went to fight back and was instantly blinded when something slipped over my head, blocking out any light. I went to fight back when I felt three more people pile on who were much stronger then I was.
