Katie died. No... It could not be.... The Katie that meant so much to me....the Katie who had bad breath in the morning....The Katie who no matter what she did, only made me love her more....gone. Kate as well as the others started crying. I was bawling like a child in a toy store. Dr. Alex left me and my friends to mourn in the lobby since we were the only ones in there. I then got up and decided to go sit by her and get one last good look at her before she was taken from me. "Chris?" Humphrey asked. "Guys, give me a moment alone please. Could yall wait up here?" I asked. That's when Lilly nuzzled me. "Can I go with? She is technically my sister." Lilly said. "Yeah, can I go too?" Kate asked. I nodded. "We will be waiting." Scar said. "Thanks, and, Keep her in your prayers." I said, as the three of us walked into the room. I looked and saw my mate's dead body. She looked like she was sleeping, well she was. I knelt by her bed and prayed that she and I would reunite in heaven and for her to watch over me. Kate and Lilly prayed too. After saying prayers, I cried over her. The tears dropped from my cheeks and landed on her muzzle. After that, I said goodbye and began to walk out with Lilly and Kate. "Chris, she is an angel now. She will always watch over you." Kate said. "Thanks Kate. Your right." I said.

Just as we were about to leave, I heard a beeping noise slowly start and get faster and faster. No...Could it be? Kate, Lilly, and I turned around to see Katie opening her eyes. "Ugh, that really hurt. Fuckin asshole ran my ass over." she said. "KATIE!" I screamed, running over and Kissing her like crazy. Kate ran to the lobby and Jon called the doctor. Everyone rejoiced as Katie was going to be OK! The doctor was relieved as it turned out she was in a deep coma. "Oh Katie, I am so glad your alive." I said, crying. "Don't leave me ever." "Why would I leave you? I love you." Katie said, kissing me on the lips. "So does your son." she whispered in my ear. It turns out she was pregnant with a male pup. I was going to be a father! I could not believe it! My boys can swim! "Oh thats beautiful Katie!" Kate said. "Actually, there is bad news." The doctor uninterrupted. "W-what?" Katie said, nervously. "The thing is, your pup will be stillborn. The impact of the crash was too great for him to survive. I'm sorry. But its a miscarriage." the doctor said.

The room went silent. Katie then began to cry. "No...not my baby..." Katie said. I began to cry too. The bastard did kill someone after all, my son. Humphrey and Uriah came and patted me on the back. "I'm so sorry Chris." Uriah said. "Yeah man." Humphrey added. "Thanks guys, but Katie and I need some alone time for this one." I said, hugging them. Everyone cleared out, leaving me and Katie. "Why did this have to happen?" Katie sobbed. " I was on my way home to tell you he kicked for the first time." That made me cry harder. Such an innocent child, taken by a drunk driver like that. Never got to grow up, meet his parents. "I'm going to KILL that fucker." I growled. "No Chris...Please don't become what he has." Katie said. "I may be a bitch sometimes, but my mother always told me as a pup we need to forgive those who hurt us." Katie said, holding my had. I cried even harder. "Katie, I'm sorry, what would my son say if he found out I killed a man." I said, shaking my head. "Chris, I don't want to have kids, I can't take this stress, lets leave it to just the two of us." Katie said, still sobbing. "I agree. However, even though I did not know him or name him, he will always be my son." I said. With that, we cried eachother to sleep
