Sheng4 dan4 jie2 wo3 yao4 qu4 nan2 peng2 you de jia1li, bai4 jian4 ta1 de fu4 mu3.
C：你准备了什么礼物？
Ni3 zhun3 bei4 le shen2 me li3 wu4?
F：我买了一个非常漂亮的钟。
Wo3 mai3 le yi2 ge fei1chang2 piao4 liang4 de zhong1.
C：这个礼物不合适，在汉语里， “送终”的意思是为临死的人送行。
Zhe4 ge li3 wu4 bu4 he2 shi4, zai4 han4 yu3 li3, “song4 zhong1”de yi4 si shi4 wei4 lin2 si3 de ren2 song4 xing2.
F：原来是这样，谢谢你告诉我，否则我就犯错了。你能再陪我去逛街买礼物吗？
Yuan2 lai2 shi4 zhe4 yang4, xie4 xie4 ni3 gao4 su wo3, fou3 ze2 wo3 jiu4 fan4 cuo4 le. Ni3 neng2 zai4 pei2 wo3 qu4 guang4 jie1 mai3 li3 wu4 ma1?

Translation：
F: I will go to my boyfriend’s home to meet his parents on the Christmas day.
C: What have you got for the presents?
F：I bought a beautiful clock.
C：It’s really a bad idea, in Chinese, “song4zhong1” means say goodbye to the dying people.
F: I see, thank you for telling me, otherwise I would make a terrible mistake. Could you go with me to buy another gift again?
E.g.：1. 恋人之间也不喜欢送“伞”，因为 “伞”-“散”同音。
You can not give umbrella as presents to your boyfriend/girlfriend, because umbrella “san3” has the same pronunciation with “san4” which means “break up”.
