How Lisa became who she is today

Vegetarian: when she was a teenager, she ate some bad meat and had horrible nightmare at night with eating human flesh. Since then, she doesn't feel right with eating meat.

Hottie with balanced diet: around her twenties I think, her metabolism changed, she got her lady curves, but also gained much weight. Since then she really had to take care about that she eats (no unhealthy food). For some time she had eating disorders.That's why it's so important her her to control her food now.

Yoga-master: Lisa had an accident in which her spine was damaged. Her back really hurt and she decided to try yoga. After 3 months she was pain free and since then she practices every day.

Animal's best friend: Edelstein has since rescued four “mutts.” The first three, Sandwich, Bumpa, and Wolf E. lived long lives before succumbing to old age and illness. Lisa nursed them through kidney failure, pancreatic cancer, and eye surgeries. She now lives with Shazam!, a young schnauzer/poodle mix, and a black and white cat, Bug, 18.
Non-drinker, non-smoker, non-drug addict: as a celebutante in 80' she have seen a lot of her friends doing too much, ruining their health and dying. The case touched people really close to her. Amazing is, how she's still able to make contact with all interesting people, with her lifestyle usually so different than their.

Well sex-educated person: like in the previous case, lots of her friends were dying from AIDS. There was an epidemy, people didn't know exactly that's true and false. Lisa dropped acting school and wrote musical about AIDS and HIV, Positive Me. Schools were making trips to the museums to see this thing, because it learned young people a lot about disease and safe sex.

Humanitarian: Lisa travels all around the world, she loves it, and see was able to see the real poverty, for example, with Giammario Villa in Columbia. She's a part of Save the Children, Red Cross, and lately, Comedy Fight Malaria.


Cuddy: Cuddy was created by executive producer Bryan Singer, who had enjoyed Lisa Edelstein's portrayal of a high-priced call girl putting herself through law school on The West Wing, and sent her a copy of the pilot script.
