Luke was looking for Vienna Hyatt. He was up to something. A week before, Austin Cannon caught Vienna cheating on him with Luke Blade. Austin threatned to leave Luke's ''family'' ( Luke described his crew and friends as family). The day after Austin caught Vienna cheating, Luke was going to talk to her. Luke: Hey Vienna. *kisses her* Vienna: *pushes Luke away* Luke, about last night. It wasn't supposed to happen. It was a mistake. Austin is very angry with the both of us, especially you. Luke: I-I didn't know you and Austin were dating. Vienna: Don't give me that crap! You and Rupert Flannigan need to stop because I love Austin, okay? Austin! Not you or Rupert. Look Luke, I will admit I do have some feelings for you, but Austin and I grew up together, and I just know him more. Luke, you're a good friend, but last night wasn't called for. Austin won't answer my calls, won't talk or look at me, and just ignores me. Austin just has this blank broken expression on his face, while helping you preform your illusions. Luke: I'm sorry about Austin. You belong to him. Not me. Bye.
Luke is now finished with his sawing in half illusion, enough time to preform his second magic trick: Making Vienna Hyatt dissappear. He planned the entire thing. He set up an old magician's sawing in half illusion box, and an old rusty saw. He went to Vienna's apartment and kidnapped her. Vienna didn't know what was going on and she kept kicking and screaming. When they arrived at the theater, Luke put plastic shackles on her ankles. He put her in the magician's box, and as she screamed, he put a red hanker chief in her mouth. Luke was so strong that when he sawed her in half, the saw broke her spine and everything, and bone is very difficult to cut through. Why Vienna? Why her? What did she do? Luke did this because Vienna broke his heart, and she was giving away his secrets to the tabloids. Her and Austin were going to leave the family, and Luke couldn't let that happen. Luke took a bow, and blood from his fingertip dropped on the floor. He walked out, taking off his bloody sweatshirt and gloves.
An hour later, an elderly man wanted to check out the Luke Blade stunt, and was at the theatre cleaning, but then saw Vienna's body and went into shock. The poor man was only 75 years old. Once he called for help, the paramedicts had to treat him for shock. Kevin helped Mac and Stella with the murder case. He's one of their best detectives on the job. Detective Don Flack walked towards them and told them about the elderly man. Then, they started talking about Luke Blade's illusions. Kevin: *using sign language* That's odd. Why are the murders connected to my brother's stunts? Stella: *using sign language and speaking* Wait a minute. Luke Blade is your brother? Kevin: *using sign language* Yeah. My parents adopted him when he was thirteen and I was eight. I thought I all ready mentioned this to you guys. Mac: *using sign language and speaking* No you didn't. Kevin: *using sign language* Oh well. Now you know. I guess we have a copy cat on our hands. Mac walked over to the edge of the stage. He saw bloody foot prints and a drop of blood on the floor. He got off of the stage and looked at the drop of blood closely. He looked up at the stage, estimating that the killer took a bow.
Stella and Dr. Sid Hammerback were examining Vienna's body at their headquarters. Sid was right about estimating the killer being strong. He said it himself that it's hard cutting through bone, especially with an old saw. They found an ultra violet tattoo on Vienna's arm. It read ''Mind, Body, and Spirt''. Stella: We got her mind and body. Now let's find the person who took her spirit.
All night, the detectives were scanning DNA from the evidence to find a match from the finger prints. The hand prints from the people that have commited crimes, and the ones from the evidence. None of them matched, except the one founded on the box that Vienna was sawed in half in. The finger prints belonged to Rupert Flannigan. The next day, Mac and Don tracked Rupert down to ask questions about what occured last night and why those finger prints were on the box. They walked into Rupert's magic shop, and saw Rupert trying to revive a dead fly from waving his hands above the fly, not touching it. Mac and Don spoke their theories about Rupert's trick in disbelief and showed him a close up picture of Vienna's face of what happened to her the night before. Rupert couldn't believe what happened. He loved Vienna, but had taken it too far to the point that he was arrested three months straight. He said he handled the box because he sales them, and wasn't there at the night of her murder. He was in anger management classes. Mac and Don bought a Luke Blade CD, and left the store. On the CD it said ''Mind, Body, and Spirit.'' Now, they had to ask Luke for some answers.
The next day, Danny and Mac went to Luke Blade's Death Becomes Me set. Luke's crew was setting up for that night because Luke was going to set himself in a full body burn for four hours. Mac: Luke, we know that you fired Vienna last week for selling your secrets to the tabloids. Luke: Vienna chose money over family, she did. Danny: Did she decide to split the family? Luke: Why now? Mac: Why did she sell you out? Luke: Greed. Look, I'm an illusionist. It's what I am, not what just what I do for a living. Betray my craft, you betray me. Why now? I guess Vienna decided to show her true colors.
As Luke said that, he drew a butterfly, and when he closed the paper and opened it up, the butterfly came to life and flew away. Danny was impressed! Austin Cannon wanted to go over a few things with Luke first, to practice tonight's illusion. Luke: If that's all detectives, I'm gonna light myself on fire.
Chapter4 comes out soon! Have a nice day!
