I had this dream I went back in time to help Michael Jackson with the "Black Or White" short film. Here's how it started: One day, when I was 25, I got a call at my parents house from John Landis. He told me that they needed an extra dancer and I had gladly volunteered. That night, I told my parents and we started packing for the trip. The next day, my parents and I flew out to Los Angeles and met John at the airport. He led us to the limo and we got in and started driving to the set while talking about what I'm supposed to do. He told me that the choreographer genius would help me if I needed it. We stopped at the trailer and got out of the limo. We walked up to the trailer door and John knocked, wondering if he was awake or not. Luckily he was. He opened the door and I was in awe. It was the one and only Michael Jackson. "Since we don't have an extra trailer, she'll be staying with you, Michael. That alright?" John asked. Michael looked at me and smiled and looked back at John and nodded. "It's alright with me." Michael told him. John then took my parents to a hotel that was close to the set and Michael led me inside the trailer. Before we rehearsed the dance, we talked about each other. I had told him I read Moonwalk and even brought it with me. He smiled at me and I could have sworn my heart melted. After we talked, we went outside the trailer and started rehearsing the dance. He had told me that the original dancer twisted her ankle and couldn't be on the set in fear of breaking it next. He knew I had a little problem and he got behind me and helped me get the movements right. I blushed when he held me close to him. Once we rehearsed and perfected the dance, he turned to me. "How about I treat you and your parents to dinner tonight? It's almost 7pm anyway." I looked at my watch and saw that it was almost 7. I looked at him and blushed a little. I nodded a bit and he led me to his car. We got in and headed over to the hotel and picked up my parents and headed to a restaurant. After dinner, we dropped my parents back off at the hotel and headed back to the trailer. Michael noticed I was fiddling with my fingers. "Are you excited to start the film tomorrow?" He asked. "I am, but I'm a bit nervous." I replied. He chuckled at me. "There's no need to be nervous, Rebecca." After we got into the trailer, Michael said I could change first. I nodded and grabbed my pajamas and went to change. Once I changed, Michael went into the bathroom with his clothes and took a shower. I sat down on the couch and looked at the stars through the window, humming Someone In The Dark. Michael soon came out of the bathroom in his red silk pajamas, drying his hair with a towel and saw me. I had a tear fall down my cheek. He sat down behind me and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me toward him. He turned me around to face him. "If you want, you can sleep in my bed with me instead of sleeping out here." He told me. I looked out to the stars one last time and I then followed him to the back of the trailer. We got into bed and I fell asleep. He had called my parents about something and I heard him say that he'll pick them up tomorrow morning. The next day, Michael went to pick my parents up from the hotel while I slept. I got at around 6 and no sign of Michael. 'I guess he wanted me to sleep.' I thought. I got up and got dressed and headed out to the breakfast area and saw Michael, my parents, everyone. Macauley was on Michael's left and I was on Michael's right. Michael noticed I was still sleepy when I sat down with some fruit. I looked like I'd fall back asleep any minute, until Michael turned my face and kissed me right in front of my parents and I saw a camera flash. My eyes went wide and I blushed and looked at him. Mac looked like he was gagging and Michael elbowed him slightly, chuckling. My mom and dad caught the picture and showed us. They told us that they'd print it and frame it. "I don't think that's a good-" I was cut off by Michael. "Just as long as it doesn't go to the press, it's fine." Michael said. We later agreed and we all got set up for the Black or White short film. Michael and I walked back to the set, hand in hand, and John instructed us on what to do and we went through the song and dance just like we planned it. When we finished (after a few false starts and pep talks like the J5 days), it was perfect.
And that's how my dream ended.
