Here is a list of my top 20 favourite movies.

#20 Snow White & the seven dwarfs

The one that started it all for Walt Disney, Snow White tells the story about a young girl who escapes from her evil stepmother who wants to try and kill her. She meets 7 dwarves and she becomes friends with them. Although its not my all time favourite but its still an instant classic.

#19 Tarzan

Another great film from Disney it tells the story of a young man who was raised by gorillas while he was still a baby. Packed with great music and a great cast from Glenn Close & Minnie Driver Tarzan is definitely one to watch again and again.

#18 Princess & the Frog

At no 17 comes the movie that brought back 2D animation PATF is set in 1920s New Orleans and tells the story about a young woman who dreams of opening up her own restaurant. While she attends this masquerade bash for Prince Naveen she meets him as a frog (he was transformed by some voodoo doctor)and as she tries to kiss him to turn him back into a human, she turns into a frog and the two set out to remove the spell, leading romance to both of these characters. The story itself is quite good but the ending was a bit of a letdown. The music was very jazzy and it was amazing and the characters were stereotypes(blacks and whites combined) yet they were colourful.

#16 NATM II

Night at the Museum II is the sequel to the 2006 movie of the same name. Based on a book NATM II is about Larry Daly who travels to Washington DC with his statue friends who are shipped there to the Smithsonian. While he is there Larry becomes smitten with a statue of Amelia Earheart who helps him defeat the evil pharaoh. What I like about this one is that the statues are alive all the time and there is a spark between Amelia Earheart(Amy Adams) & Larry Daly(Ben Stiller) who were quite funny together and they were cute. Hank Azaria was hilarious as the evil pharaoh.

#15 Pocahontas

This classic Disney movie tells the story about a native American princess who falls in love with a handsome sailor. Packed with a great score and a nice story attached to the movie Pocahontas is great.

#14 Walk The Line

Another great biopic about Johnny Cash’s life, this movie is absolutely brilliant. Joaquin Phoenix & Reese Witherspoon had great chemistry and their singing vocals are brilliant. I suggest that if you never seen this movie then rent it out I tell you won’t be disappointed.

#13 Maid in Manhattan

This cheesy/frothy/predictable movie tells the story about a maid who works in a posh hotel and falls in love with a politician who thinks that she is a guest named Caroline. Jennifer Lopez was great in this movie along with Ralph Fiennes who played the love interest and the little boy was a sweetheart.

#12 Aquamarine

I love anything containing mermaids because they are so fascinating to watch and if you grew up watching The Little Mermaid then you will love Aquamarine which is a silly/romantic/girly/comedy about 2 girls who befriend a mermaid named (as the title says Aquamarine).

#11 13 going on 30

Now we are half way through the countdown of my favourite movies so in at 11 is 13 going on 30, a romantic comedy about a young girl who hates being 13 she wishes to be older and more popular so fast forward a couple of years later(thanks to magic dust) she turns into a 30 yr old version of herself. Packed with some great 80s songs and a nice decent cast led by Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo,13 going on 30 is a great film.

#10 Beauty & the Beast

No wonder this won an award back in 1991 for Best Picture because it is a very good movie. Beauty & the Beast tells the story of a young French maiden whose father is being captured by a beast. However the young girl takes her father’s place in the castle(as he was lost in the woods with his horse) and as she spends some quality time with the stubborn beast they begin to fall in love. As the tagline says The greatest love story ever told B&B is without a doubt one of Disney’s best animated features of all time.

#9 The Little Mermaid

In TLM,a young mermaid saves a prince from drowning and falls in love with him. Packed with great music and colourful charcthers,TLM is another instant classic. I loved this movie since I was a kid and today I still like it.

#8 Anastasia

Based on a true story about the Russian princess, Anastasia is a 20th century fox movie and tells the story about Anya who is out on a magical journey along with 2 con men(one who used to work in the palace when she was a kid)and a cute dog named Pooka to see who she really is.

#7 Hannah Montana: the movie

Yes I admit it I like this movie because I grew up watching the TV series and I also like Miley Cyrus because she’s witty and has a great sense of humour. The movie version focuses on Miley’s population as Hannah Montana becomes too much of a hassle so her dad brings her back to her old roots to see who she is and what she is missing out of as Miley and not as Hannah. I don’t know why so many people hate this movie but I for one love it.

#6 Aladdin

Aladdin tells the story of a commoner who falls in love with an Arabian princess who wants to marry someone that she loves. Packed with great music and a great set of characters that will delight the whole family and a lot of humour from movie legend Robin Williams, Aladdin is all about being who you are and not to pretend to be something that you are not.

#5 27 Dresses

27 Dresses tells the story about a young bridesmaid who was never a bride and she is in love with her boss at work and also a cynical reporter who wants to write a piece on her. Quite predictable and frothy but still it’s a great movie to watch.

#4 A Cinderella story

Hilary Duff(who recently got married to Mike Conrie) plays Sam Montgomery in this cheesy update of the fairytale classic. Chad Michael Murray from One Tree Hill plays her love interest. I like this movie because I like the characters and I think it’s a really sweet movie.

#3 HSM3:Senior Year

HSMIII is about teenagers who are graduating from school and going to college. 100 % better than the other 2,HSM III has great music and a decent cast .

#2 The Lion King

One of Disney’s best family movies TLK tells the story about a young cub who is framed for murdering his father who got killed by stampedes. Turns out that it’s the young cub’s father’s brother who did it. Packed with an epic score and colourful characters, TLK is the best movie of the late 1990s.

#1 Enchanted

Yes I hate to say this but here it goes I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO GODAMN MUCH, there I said it. Why you may ask because its got romance, comedy, music, witty characters, great chemistry between Adams & Dempsey,2D animation(for 10 mins) and of course it brings us back to when Disney was spectacular with its movies and its musical scores . The movie kicks off in 2D animation and Giselle(Amy Adams) dreams of sharing true love’s kiss with a prince, turns out to be Edward(James Marsden who was so frickin hilarious in this film) and the two fall in love and decide to tie the knot. But all seems too good to be true when the prince’s evil stepmother Narissa(the brilliant Sarandon) who poses as an old hag and pushes Giselle down an enchanted well which transports and transforms the terrifying wannabe princess into NYC. She meets an attorney who is a single father named Robert Philip( Patrick Dempsey from Greys Anatomy) and she starts to fall for HIM!!. Packed with an all star cast and a nice message and story telling audiences that love can exist you just have to be more optimistic and not cynical all the time , Enchanted is the best Disney movie in the 21st century.
These Disney endings don't mean what most think. For this list, we’ll be looking at the Disney endings that might be something other than what you understood as a child or contain an ambiguous message.
