As Roger, and Anthony were leaving the station, Anthony had an idea.
Anthony: Why don't we get Nikki to come with us? She's still on vacation, and it doesn't end until the 2nd of January.
Roger: January? Which January?
Anthony: Ugh... 1957!
Roger: What year is it now?
Anthony: Are you serious?
Roger: No. I want to know.
Anthony: *Sighs* Okay, as you know, Nikki has a four month vacation, which started a few days ago. I told you it would end in January the second, 1957. Does this help you?
Roger: So this year is....
Anthony: 1956!!
Roger: Okay, you didn't have to shout! Anyway, why do we need Nikki with us? We're the only ones that know about Duke's whereabouts.
Anthony: Two reasons. It would be easier to find him, and.. The More, The Merrier.
Roger: Fine, let's get her. Only question is, where could she be?
To answer their question, Nikki was buying new tires for Meadow's Lightningbird. She wanted to take care of Meadow's car while she was away.

Nikki: So, how much is this gonna cost?
Mechanic: About $90.
Nikki: Ninety dollars? That's too much for me.
Roger: *Arrives with Anthony* But we'll help pay for it.
Nikki: All I have is fifty.
Anthony: And we have forty.
Mechanic: Very well. Hand it over.
Nikki: Thanks you two. *Takes forty dollars, and gives mechanic fifty dollars*
Mechanic: Thanks. I'll get them installed soon.
Anthony: Take your time, because the three of us are going on a vacation.
Mechanic: Okay, have fun.
The three ponies left the bodyshop.
Nikki: What did you mean by vacation?
Roger: We need your help.
Anthony: You see, there's an old stallion that worked on a railway with us twenty one years ago in Germaneigh.
Roger: And we want to bring him back here to work with us on our railway.
Anthony: Can you help us?
Nikki: Well, I might as well since you helped pay for the tires on my sister's car.
Anthony: Splendid.
Roger: Let's get going. First, we will take a plane to London. From there, we'll take the eurotrain going underground, into Maris France. Then, we get on another plane, and we get to Duke's house in Oden.
Nikki: Oden?
Anthony: Our old railway wasn't that big, but we brought goods to other ponies living there.
Roger: As well as giving them rides.
Nikki: Interesting. Let's go.
