What do you think will happen to prince charmings's mother now that he called off the wedding to be with snow white?

In case anyone might have forgotten, in the shepherd episode the ass of a king threatened to kill charming and his mother if he doesn't go through with marrying abigal. Now that charming called off the wedding I'm worried that the king might kill charmings's mother. I'm also concered that charming no longer cares about his mother's safety. As much as I want charming and snow to be together what will happen to his mother and the farm? I feel like he doesn't care anymore which concerns me.
