Once Upon A Time Question

how is it that when graham's heart was taken out, he still remained good but when cora's heart was out, she became evil?

did it have something to do with the fact that she had magic or something? i also have another question. how come when cora took daniel's heart, he collapsed right away instead of after cora crushed it?

The taking of your heart doesn't make you good or evil. It only makes it so that you can't feel. Cora was always a scheming, ambitious woman, who ended up viewing love as a weakness before she ever ended up taking her heart out. She only grew more scheming over time, which lead to her becoming an evil person.

Because when she didn't have her heart, she was unable to love Regina, but once it was put back, she was finally able to love.
