I nervously walked down the audititorium aisle and on to the stage. "Name?" called a voice. That must be the boys manager, I think to myself. "Kate Summers." I say, after clearing my throat. "And what are you going to be doing for us today, Miss Summers?" I look at the manager and say, "I'm going to play and sing an original song." He nodded and gestured for me to begin. Sitting on the stool that was on the stage, I adjusted the microphone on the stand. I took a deep breath and began to play. "You were always the guy, getting all the girls attention. Guess I was flying blind, aimlessly hoping for your affection. But time after time, you crept into my mind. And that's when -- I realized. I should say goodbye to you, instead of acting like a lovesick fool. There's no right or wrong thing to say, with your game of chance. Well I'm making it your last. Because now I see the truth. I am better off without you." I glanced at the manager and he was bobbing his head along and writing notes down. I stood up and began to pour my heart and soul into this one song. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the audititorium door open. "No matter how many times I try, you always creep right back into my mind. I really wish I could rewind, right back to the spot where we ended our time." I sang the bridge passionately and went on to repeat the chorus. Once down, I took a bow and looked at the manager. He stood up and came closer to the stage. "Welcome aboard, Kate Summers." he smiled, extending his hand. I quickly took it and shook it, my face exploding into a huge smile. I've got to tell Grace!
