The Host's great plan is to set up a relay race in the school! Haruhi spreads the word and Tamaki is surprised that he knew nothing, and wasn't involved, in the planning and participating of the event. Haruhi explains it's because he's been hurt. She encourages him to have Kanoya as a partner in the activity.
The prize for the winner is a Special Ticket that rules that the Host of choice will have to do whatever you want for one whole day.
Renge is all about it, stating that she will make another movie.
The football team want to join so they can make Kyoya their slave for a day.
The dude with red hair (the Host calls him Cassanova and I can never remember his real name! lol sorry!) wants to join in so he can win a date with Haruhi.
The athletic team wants to win so that Honey and Mori will participate with them in a competition.
The girls all say that they will take the Hosts out on a date during the weekend if they win.
Haruhi, reciting lines VERY badly, asks Tamaki to help them. She lists reasons to why if the others win it would be bad for the hosts. She asks Tamaki to participate and be sure to win, in order to save them all from serious trouble. . . lol :)
Of course Tamaki agrees! lol
The commetition consists of going through checkpoints where you have to do something (each Host has a different activity) and after you get past them you choice two ingredients to make a curry dish. The winner will be decided by how long it took for the person to get through the rally and how good their Curry dish is.
Tamaki is a little unsure about the whole situation and isn't too keen on the idea but a look from Haruhi, and her mournfully reminding him of the hardships that would occur to her if anybody but him wins, he agrees. He promises to do his best while patting her on the head and giving her a shock of LoVe! lol
Tamaki gets through the first check point with Kanoya easily. He's able to beat the "Who's Hikaru" game with the Twins, confessing that he's been able to tell them apart for some time now. Unfortunately Kanoya leave choosing the Curry ingredients up to Tamaki. Lets face it, the King is many things but a good cook he is not! lol He picks peaches and something similar to pickled plums. The Twins, of course, find it hilarious and cheer him on while Kanoya is disgusted and worried about how their Curry will turn out.
Tamaki becomes uneasy but the Twins also bringing up the hardships they will face if Tamaki doesn't win and they encourage him on. He wonders what the Hosts are up to.
Haruhi shows up at Tamaki's next check point to inform him that the final location where everyone is to meet has been changed to a different kitchen number. She's been running all over the place and is really out of breath. Tamaki is again caught off guard by her behavior, explaning to Kanoya that Haruhi is: ". . .usually very slow and lazy, if taken by surprise is really harsh and (he honestly says this! lol) makes me cry all the time. But Haruhi, more than anyone, is always direct and honest." You can almost hear the love! lol
The further Tamaki and Kanoya get in the race the more horrible ingredients he picks for their Curry. Kanoya never tells him that what he's doing is wrong, even when he asks her if what he picked was good. After a while you can tell that he's deliberately picking poorly to challenge her and see if she would correct him.
Tamaki tells Honey, since they are at his station, that he believes he understands the purpose of the rally. He asks Honey who's idea it was. Honey tells him that Kyoya came up with the event but that Haruhi came up with all the projects. Tamaki is surprised and pleased.
Haruhi thinks, while running around, about how the whole event got started. She thinks that she doesn't understand why he's hurting or behaving weird lately. She thinks about all of the times he helped others without getting anything in return. She swears that this time, since Tamaki can't do something for himself, she'll do it for him. She will run in his place, since it's the least she can do.
Tamaki, having heard about Haruhi's plan to help him, tells "Princess Kanoya" that he's troubled because of the feelings he has realized he has for Haruhi. He tells Kanoya that some people have said that she and Haruhi are alike but he has never thought that. He tells her that they are very different.
Kanoya asks him: ". . .do you love her?"
To which Tamaki says "Yes. Probably I've been in love with her for a long time."
YAY!!!!!!!! Freaking finally! HE REALIZED HE LOVES HER!!!!! WONDERFUL! *pant pant* ok until next time!
