Hi, everyone. Antonia here, and as most of you know, my dog, Roscoe, had surgery to be fully neutered. If you want more details on this, read the previous article.

My aunt dropped Roscoe off at the veterinary clinic. After my classes, they called me to come pick him up. They said that he had to have some gentle persuasion to wake up, but he was wide awake once he woke up. I'm the same way when I've been put under anesthesia. Roscoe's surgery went well, and there were no complications.

Roscoe has eaten since he came home. The vet said that I should only feed him a little bit at a time for the first few days to reduce the risk of nausea. He is restricted from strenuous activity for a while.

He was a little bit mad at my aunt when he came home, but as I'm typing this, he is sitting at her feet, and she is petting him. I think he's realized that she didn't have this done to hurt him, but to help him. Roscoe is doing well and feeling pretty good for a dog who's just had surgery.

BingoPB I'm also glad that Roscoe is doing well. He just needs to take it easy for a couple of weeks.

Peaceandlove67 Thank you so much. He woke up to eat breakfast this morning, and then he went back to sleep. It is normal for a dog to get tired quickly for the first few days after surgery. Most people are the same way.

Rubyrings I'm glad everything went well for Roscoe. It's kind of neat that he reacts the same way to anesthesia as you do. It's like he absorbed some parts of your personality.

Roldan13 I'm glad Roscoe is doing well. I can tell you love your dogs.

RetroRock64 I can tell it, too. It is interesting that Roscoe reacts the same way to anesthesia that you do. Of course, it is said that dogs often take on the personalities of their owners.

The first day of spring was approaching. Leila and Greeley were on Spring Break. Leila said, "It doesn't seem possible that we're going to be finished with our first year of college in less than two months." He said, "I know." She said, "It's also hard to believe that my dog, Paul, is not a puppy anymore. He's fully grown." Greeley said, "They grow up very quickly." She said, "They really do. I also can't believe that my birthday is coming up. It's the first day of spring this year, March 20. I'm going to be eighteen." Greeley said, "Happy Birthday." She said, "Thank you." Knowing that she had friends that she didn't have to say "I thought we were friends" to gave Leila comfort. She also knew that she didn't have to have a romantic relationship to complete her. She has and supportive aunt and uncle and great friends. Because of that, she's not lonely at all.

This is not news I want to share with you all. This is not news I ever wanted to share, but Roxy passed away on March 6, 2019 around 7:00 in the morning. I never expected this so soon.

Roxy had recently been showing signs of being sick. The vet determined that she had kidney failure. She also had cancer in one of her kidneys.
