I hope you guys like this one. Please Comment(:

Now, you might think I’m freaking out that Percy’s the son of Poseidon, but that would be an understatement. It wasn’t because my mom and his dad are enemies or anything, it was because I was… afraid for him. Now that Poseidon has claimed him, gods could send monsters to kill him, or even worse, kill him themselves. I know I’m thinking the worst, but after what happened to Thaila, I couldn’t afford to lose another friend. I just couldn’t.
Chiron and I have been talking about the quest that had to be taken to get the Lightening Bolt from Hades, and who would go with Percy. I haven't told him yet that I wanted to go because I wanted to save it for a last minute thing when no one else dared to offer themselves, but one night it blurted out.
“Chiron, I want to go on the quest with Percy.”
He looked up doubfounded that I'd ever offer to go on this quest, but then his face softened probably realizing I was going to ask one day.
“Annabeth, it is too dangerous. You have to go to the actual Underworld my dear, I can’t let you do that. You’re like; you’re like a daughter to me.”
I smiled, feeling proud that Chiron, THE Chiron thinks of me as a daughter, but I couldn’t let that getting in the way of a once in a lifetime chance.
“Chiron, I know… but I’ve been waiting almost my whole life to get a chance to do this most of my youngest memories are at this camp, and I know I can do it, and I know I’ll come back and alive, and I just know that in my gut that this is what I was meant to do. And I can do it.”
He stared at me for a minute and then starting pacing, pondering my thought of going out onto this quest. It was silent for a long time and I was going to say something, but Chiron beat me to it.
“Annabeth, I just don’t know if I can let you do this. You could get killed. I just, I can’t lose you.” I looked down, suddenly interested with my shoes. I didn’t want to show him the tears filling up in my eyes. I wasn’t going to get the chance to go on this quest; my dream isn’t going to come true…
No Annabeth, I thought to myself, you’ve trained and trained and trained for this, and you were made to do this.
“Chiron, there’s a reason I wasn’t killed that day Thaila died. There was a reason I lived. And this could be it. I don’t want to live my life wondering that, I want to find out.
He looked at me and a smile began to form on his face, not a huge smile, but I little turn of the lips.
“Annabeth, you are one of the strongest people here at camp, and I’m going to let you go, on one condition.”
“YES! Thank you, thank you, thank you Chiron. I’ll do anything!”
“You’ll come back alive.”
“I will, I promise. And I won’t let you down.”
“You will never let me down Annabeth, that’s not something you’re able to do. Just don’t let yourself down.”
“Thank you, Chiron.” I said respectively, and bowed to him. He shook him head and held out his arms and I ran and gave him a hug.
“You are very welcome Annabeth.”

I’ve noticed that since Percy was claimed I did act different toward him. Maybe it was the rivalry that his father and my mother had, but I don’t know. I’ve been trying to ignore the fact that I should hate him like the rest of my siblings, and sometimes I even act like I hate him, but really deep down I don’t hate him. He’s still my friend.
“Hey Annabeth.” I heard Grover’s voice from behind.
“Hi, Grover! What’s up?”
“Nothing much, you know practicing playing my reeds. It’s not really working out though.
“Yeah, those things just aren’t really working for you.”
“But they will, I am a satyr after all.”
“Ha-ha you’re right; you’ll get the hang of it, but Grover… I have a question.” I said, looking down and playing with my dagger.
“Yeah, anything Annabeth what do you need?”
“Don’t you think… I should hate Percy? Because of the rivalry between Poseidon and Athena.”
“Annabeth, I think you should still be friends with him. You guys aren’t meant to fight your parents’ battles; you gotta live your own life.” I thought for a minute, and didn’t want to admit it, but he was right. But my entire cabin expected me to hate him too…
“But then why do all my siblings hate him?”
“Because they’re stubborn.” He answered without hesitation. I glared at him for a minute but then looked down and nodded.
“I want to be his friend and stuff…”
“Then there’s nothing to think about.” He told me, but before I could say anything he ran back to the woods and left me standing there alone with questions still filling inside me.
