Sorry it took so long for me to get this next chapter down.
Before I was led to my cabin, Sapphire ran up to me. She had a pink duffel bag in her hand.
"Here. You don't need to borrow anymore of the Hermes boys junk." She said. I was SO glad to have her.
Chiron led me to a big, shiny stone cabin. Outside were iris flowers and the walls of the cabin were so shiny, a rainbow gleamed.This was my cabin. I expected the inside of the Iris cabin to be crowded and not decorated like the Hermes cabin.
What I found was just one boy in the entire cabin, reading a book by keeping it between his toes. He was really muscular, tall, and well, to describe him a little more, most teenage girls would cry over him. He could so be a high school courter back. On his arm was a rainbow tattoo. He seemed like a scary teenager, with a tattoo and all. The only thing that didn't make me scared of him was that he was sobbing as he read the book. Figures. And that his tattoo was a rainbow.
The walls of the cabin were neon green, and covering the wall were doodles, paintings, drawings, pictures, letters, and a drawing that looked just like my mom. At the back of a room was a craft table. It was covered in paper, colored pencils, pictures, boxes, colored pencils, ribbon, ink, stamps, and even more colored pencils.
The tattooed boy still hadn't looked up yet.
"Uh, hi. I'm Addison, the new Iris kid." I said awkwardly. The boy finally looked up.
"Oh, what? Oh, a, hey. I'm Butch. They told me we had a new Iris kid. I'm the head counselor of the Iris cabin, and the only child of Iris. But guess what? NOT ANYMORE!!" He jumped from his bed and gave me a huge, gigantic bear hug.
"Uh....uh....I need....my....space.." I said suffocating.
"Oh, sorry. I'm a hugger."
"I noticed. So where's my bed?"
"Right here." He led me to a corner of the cabin. The bed was bare, and around the bed, the walls were empty.
I sat on the bed and opened the bag Sapphire gave me. Inside was an orange camp half blood t-shirt like the ones everyone here wore. I pulled the shirt out, and looked some more. There were a couple pairs of skinny jeans, a pair of yellow and blue vans, a stick of deodorant, some underwear, pajamas, hair supplies, socks, a red Abercrombie sweater, a purple polka dotted bathing suit, a yellow blanket, and a green pillow. All the stuff in here was mine from my house.
"Butch, how would Sapphire be able to get all this stuff? There from my home in Oregon."
"I don't know. She probably asked Chiron to get it. He has his way with stuff like that."
"Oh." I put all the stuff back in the bag accept the blanket and pillow. I spread the blanket on my bed, and put my pillow at the head. Then I grabbed the orange t-shirt, some skinny jeans, and the vans. I ran to the bathroom and pulled them on. Before I got the stuff from Sapphire, I had been wearing some boy shorts, flip flops, my hair in a messy pony tail, and a boy size camp half blood t-shirt.
Back at my cabin, Butch was reading again. I kicked the duffel bag under my bed. "So what are you reading?" I asked Butch.
Before answering me, Butch wiped a tear from his eye. "Oh this is Pride and Prejuduce. I like Shakespeare."
"Shakespeare didn't write that. Jane Are did."
".........................oh." The next few minutes were kept in silence.
"So......Capture the flag is tomorrow. You excited?" He asked me.
"Yea.....Butch, I was wondering, do you shape shift?"
"No, why?"
"Well, because I do and Isn't Iris able to shape shift?"
"Yea she could. Actually, she still can. I guess its just you got the power of shape shifting from mom, and I didn't. But no biggy."
The conch horn blew, sounding it was time for bed. We already had camp fire, and dinner, which was when I was claimed.
Even though I had just changed, we got in our pajamas. The second Butch got into bed, he started snoring like an elephant.
I couldn't sleep. My mom had really claimed me! And I have a half-brother! My life was taking a change. I tried to sleep, but couldn't. Butch was snoring to loud.
