Chapter 13
After the attack all I could do was cry. I wasn't able to help Katie and she died. Believe me, I didn't like her, she was a jerk but I couldn't take away the thought that she was dead.
For about 2 hours of sobbing, Nico told me to calm down. He gave me a hug and explained what we needed to do. I liked Nico's hug surprisingly. It was warm and it made me feel protected.
After we cleaned off ourselves we took the dead Katie and buried her on a hill. Nico said he would personally put her in the fields of Eluthesium. (is that how you spell it?)
Soon after it was really late and we used my necklace to transport us to Jesslins house. Nico and I decided that now we had no choice nut to take Jesslin to Camp Half blood.
When we ended up at Jesslins house I didn't expect it to be like this. It was a small mobile home with flowers surrounding the front yard. The door was locked so I turned into a fly and slipped through the window. Then I unlocked the door for Nico and Jesslin who was now again asleep in Nico's arms. Her red hair flowed around his shoulder and her head was laid on his shoulder.
I smiled and led Nico in. Inside we found where Jesslin's room was. It was small and inside was a crib and a cardboard box with goodwill clothing. We grabbed the box and stuffed the clothes into our bag. Then we got a small fluffy pink bunny from her bed and put that in the bag too.
Outside I grabbed my necklace. Together we held hands ready to telaport back to Camp Half Blood, but it didn't work.
"Why won't it work?" I asked confused.
"I don't know. Maybe someone is breaking the connection with all magical items." Nico answered. It was late so we got a hotel and slept there for the night.
When I woke up the next morning i knew something was wrong just by looking at the scared look on Nico's face.
"What is it?" I asked him.
"Jesslins gone."
