I felt like i had given someone hope. Hell i even gave myself hope that i could get Luke out of the underworld and here where i needed a friend. I got back to the camp site everyone was already dressed in pajamas except Nico.
"Do you want to change Alena"? Larley held out my pajamas.
"Uh no thanks we have to be ready at any time" Larley slowly retracted the clothes. Finally we all decided to go to bed.
It was 2 am and my watch. When it came out of fuckin no where. Before I knew what the hell i was doing I had my sword in my hand and i charging. It circled around me waiting for the moment to pounce. Its tail kept swishing back and forth when it stopped moving i realized it was a snake. Shit a chimera...... The lion head snapped dangerously near my legs or neck as it. The goat side did nothing. Thankfully but it was getting hard to fight I felt drained. My blocking was slower and I needed water but there wasn't any.The chimera was not giving up with the lion snapping and the snake feinting. Instead of giving up i kept backing the creature to the water. I made an action movie somersault under the animal and into the water. I could feel power surging through me like static I stood up and raised my sword up in warning. It charged The lion snapped near my neck where i blocked it i felt a pain in my side. Probably from my newly found reflex skills. I jumped back out of the water and tryed to get an angle but the chimera took its big paw and swiped my sword. I panicked but there was nothing close to fight with. It started backing me up to a tree. I felt the bark scrape my back.
"Alena"?! i heard nicos worried voice close by. Nico finally came into view. He punched it in the back to grab its attention. While i struggled to my feet. Nico got it to focus on just him giving me time to grab my sword run, jump and bring my sword straight through its back. It poofed into dust leaving just me and Nico.
"Oh My god Alena are you okay".
"Yeah-Im-Fine". My voice was coming out in pants. Nico grabbed my arm and brought me into a hug.
"Im so glad your okay". He breathed into my ear and just squeezed me tighter. He pulled back and just stared at my face , He leaned in and pulled me in a movie kiss. Holding me in his strong arms.
"Oh god ow". He pulled back as i touched my hand to my side. I winced at the pain and brought my hand back to my face. It was red sticky and dripping in my blood. Nico Gasped and lifted my shirt up.
"You got bit by the tail, take your shirt off". I paused....What?
"Uh WHY"?
"Just take it off" I did as he told. He took my grey t shirt and ripped it into shreds using every piece to secure my waist on my snake bite. Now that my adrenaline was gone i noticed how fuckin bad it hurt. Nico Brought me back to the tent. But larley wasn't there, i gave nico a questioning look.
"Uh my tent..." He left it there" Nico UN-did the wrapping But i had to take my under shirt off. I made him look away. I slid my thin camisole off and did my best to cover my bra.
"Nico you can turn around". By now he had all the supplies ready to go. Without looking he grabbed a blanket and handed it to me to cover up with. Nico handed me a little square of ambrosia. I bit into it gladly to find it tasted like vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. Nico stared at me pecked me on the lips.
"You scared me alena".
