No way. NO FUDGING WAY.
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me tell you…that sparkling rock did not look very pretty anymore. I sat up from where I had landed and stared at it in my hand. It was definitely not just a ROCK. This rock was EVIL.
I was just standing on my front steps. The front steps to my HOUSE. But where was I now? I didn’t know. All because the rock decided to teleport me somewhere.
And maybe I was just guessing, but that was the only thing that made sense. Sort of. I mean, I pick up the rock. It flashes bright light, and then I open my eyes to find myself in a strange place with FREAKY ANIMALS.
First, there was that miniature blue crocodile. And then, a girl jogged past with some yellow cat that had really long ears and spiky white fur around its neck. What!?
These animals did not exist on Earth! Wait a minute…was I even on Earth!?!? NOOOOOO!!!!!!
“Eh…are you okay?”
I probably did look pretty weird. I mean, I was kneeling down…and I did just yell at the sky…okay, I didn’t look weird, I looked crazy.
I looked up and spotted a girl my age staring down at me. She had long brown hair and hazel eyes. At least the way people dressed was kind of normal. I think I would have been less suspicious if she didn’t have some purple monkey with a hand as a tail sitting in her arms.
“Um, well, I kind of don’t KNOW WHERE I AM!!!!!” I said, panicking.
She blinked. I didn’t blame her for not knowing what to do about me. Luckily, she wasn’t the type of person to just leave someone in need on their own. “That’s kind of a problem…uh…if you want, you can come to my house for a little –”
“I WILL THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Later, I sat in her house, in her kitchen, drinking water from her glass. “Thanks,” I said.
“It’s okay?” She was overwhelmed, I could tell. “So…what exactly happened?”
In a rush, I told her everything about the rock and how I got here, wherever “here” was. I was getting more and more unsettled as I reviewed the events in my mind. “-AND NOW I DON’T KNOW WHERE I AM OR WHAT THOSE ANIMALS ARE!!!!!!” I finished. I stabbed a finger at the monkey, which was now sitting on the table.
She stared at me like I just sprouted horns. “Uh…you mean the Pokémon?”
“What?” Huh. Pokémon. Where had I heard that? Pokémon.
“Wait…like in the manga and anime?” Haha. No wonder I didn’t faint as soon as I saw those “animals”. I knew what they were…kind of.
She blinked. “What are you talking about? What manga? What anime?”
O…kay. So apparently, here, Pokémon was not a manga. Or an anime. “So what exactly are these…Pokémon?”
“They’re wonderful!” she said cheerily. “They live in the wild or alongside us! Pokémon are the ultimate partners and companions of humans!”
“Okay, I get it,” I said before she could get carried away. So…I had dragged into a teleporter rock and was sent to a world where Pokémon actually existed!?
I actually WAS going to faint.
