Contradicting as it is, and hypocritical of me to say, this is how I view the industrial culture...
There're stereotypes, and within stereotypes, groups, and within groups, characterization, and within the characterization, secrets, and within the secrets, lies.
We'll start with the industrial style:
People will go off and call others "emo", "goth", "punk", etc. And, then within "emo" is "scene", "poser", "rocker", and within "goth", there's "cyber goth", and so on and so forth...
People in their own groups will call each other posers.
Overall, the industrial culture started off as something without any subcultures; it was more just indie kids, and people who just didn't typically care what others thought of them. But now it's changing; there're fads here now. As there is everywhere else.
It used to be somewhere where you'd go and you wouldn't be judged. You could just make friends, discuss common interest, because we all had it. Now it's all about NeverShoutNever or Bring Me the Horizon, and how hawt they are. It's about acting immature, and wearing nerd glasses for the hell of it. I did it 'cause of a dare. There's no curiosity anymore.
It's just this and that.
and that's it.
There's so much more to it though.
And it sucks.
Who else agrees that this whole world was so much better before the term "subcultures" emerged?

Bernadette is a Fanpop member named Yorkshire Rose. She has been on Fanpop for a long time and Fanpop's a better place because of that.
What makes Bernadette such a special friend is that she's one of the most generous and friendly people that Fanpop has ever had. She constantly gives out some of Fanpop's most delightful props. Getting a prop from her is always a treat.
There are several people on Fanpop that are really kind and Bernadette is among the most kind that Fanpop has ever had. She has several friends on Fanpop and she seems to generous to all of them.
Berni makes Fanpop a better place. She brings happiness to Fanpop and makes the website a more charming and optimistic experience. It's always nice to look at her profile's wall to see all the adorable messages that her friends have sent her.
Thank you Bernadette for being a wonderful friend and for making Fanpop a more friendly place.

I just released an update stating that I would not include video games in the Turtle Sandwiches... then someone suggested a video game. So I started thinking once again and I came to the conclusion that saying video games were going to be part of it and then not having them be part of it was really annoying. Sorry for changing this and then immediately unchanging part of the change, but I'm fairly confident in this even newerly new setup, and hopeful that it will work permanently. So here is the new schedule that will not change:
Unfortunately, I have been caught up in other issues for the past week and there is thus no new Turtle Sandwich this week. But I am writing this to establish many things, seeing as although I didn't have much "doing stuff" time, I had plenty of time to think.
1. Despite delays individual to this week, I will have time in the future to make this work on a weekly basis, and so it will stay that way.
2. I have thought more about how video games would work with this, and decided that they actually wouldn't.
3. Between movies and TV shows, I want there to be some schedule for the order of them. But I also realize that I watch movies far more often than entire seasons of TV shows, and that a lot of people are probably the same on that. Therefore, for every month, I will select the last Tuesday to be for TV shows, and the rest will be movies.
I am sorry for failing this city (or whatever city you might live in) this week, but I will attempt to make more time for this in the future.
