Darkness. Darkness everywhere.
Miele squeled, thumping her hands against the glass. now i know what it's like to be a bee trying to fly through a window. she thought, savouring whatever air was left in the bottle. She flapped her wings desperatly, how could she escape?
Suddenly a dark figure lingered among the shadows, a candle in his hands. The light was more of like a spark than a flame, but just seeing light was enough to perk Miele's wings up.
"What am i doing here? Can you help me out please? Excuse me? Young man?" She simpered. The man was like a barrel and had a laugh like a pig. "Like we'll free the heroine of our rival town!" He jeered, spitting as he spoke.
"me? A heroine?" the fairy mused, trying to ignore the spittle on the outside of her bottle. "I am not a heroine. I'm just plain Miele."
"Well just plain Miele," grunted the man, "You have the power to restore the rival town back to it's former beauty!"
"I'm flattered," she said politely, "But i don't think i could do that."
The man laughed, showering the bottle with yet more saliva-raindrops.
He hobbled away, as the trapped tavette thought about how she got here. I remember being grabbed by cold hands, and then i fainted....I can't remember anything else. Usually, this small-town girl would be frightened, but she trusted the tav would come and rescue her from this bottle, from this time, well, she hoped....

Lisa had a hard time trusting Vibbie. So did the rest of the tav. It was hard not to like the doe-eyed slave, but at the same time, most of the tav couldn't fight the feeling she was having one of her ideas. And slaves weren't meant to even think. That's what made of different to the others. Ember could tell when she was about to have one of those moments when she stopped stammering.
'As cruel as it sounds, i much perfer it when she's terrified of opening her mouth.' Thought Lisa, fighting a grin on her face.
"It's this way."
"Of course Vibbie." Nodded Ember. "We'll all follow you, you keep on working on those pyshic impulse of yours."
Vibbie smiled shyly.
The tav turned a few lefts and rights in the woods, before, amazingly, they got to the bordered gate. They could see that, the side they were on, was rusted and plagued with ivy. The other side, however, was far from a mirror image, they could see the silver on the right side of the gate glisten gorgeously and that the other town was everything the town they were on, wasn't.
"It's like the gates at cloudtower!" Gasped Izzy.
"How would you know what cloudtower's like? Are you a witch?" Smirked Rani.
Izzy pouted, folding her arms, removing all thoughts of her toxic-cousin from her brain.
Tina looked sad and realised why the two towns were at each others throats, her eyes widened.
"Actually, Izzy's right."
"What?" Exclaimed Lisa, scared.
"This village will be alfea in a few centuries, and the next town will be cloudtower!"
"What do you mean?" Asked Chloe.
"The town's inhabitance are witches and warlocks, that's why they cursed the town! Vibbie, we should go back."
"No. we should go forward."
"You sure?" Exclaimed Lisa.
Vibbie nodded.
One by one they climbed over the iron gates, it was cold, but not as cold as the weird chill they got up there spine as they entered the town.
It looked warm and friendly, but it felt the oppisite, like a cobweb, beautiful but somehow deadly, but you don't realise what's so deadly until it's too late.
"I have a bad feeling about this. I can feel it in my gut." Admited Veevee.
"Are you sure it's not all the chocolate you stole yesterday?" Joked Alice.
They stared at the village-sqaure they were in, it looked innocent, a fountain, a few market stalls, a castle very near, but something was wrong. "Why aren't there any people here? It's broad-daylight!" Rani wondered.
"We're not here for a welcoming party, Rani, we're here to find Miele. Vibbie?"
Vibbie, who was by this point was a little embaressed as she had to have help up the gates, was now blushing and looking nervous: "S-she's in the----- C-c-castle!"
They looked up at the tower. "It's so high up! And the doors are probably locked!"
"Ah, but Izzy--- I am a gypsy. I can find a way." Lisa smiled, and reached into her velvet pouch, to retrieve a oddly colored powder-- full of auttumn tones. "It's magic. Firework-powder, i think it's called. I can use it to shoot one of us through the open window at the top of the tower, seeing as we can't transform now. But the windows small. I would ask miele, as she's the shortest. But well, she's vanished. It might be dangerous. We'll need someone brave to use this at there own risk." Silence. Then a quivering hand going up. Then down. Then up again.
"Ok, chloe. Your funeral. Once your up there, find some long material. and then use it as a rope and sling it over the window so we can climb up." Chloe nodded, shaking: Could she trust lisa on this one?
Lisa sprinkled the powder on the shuddering chloe
as if applying makeup. "Hey!" noticed Veevee. "No thing happened!"
And then, as if a reply to Veevee's question, Chloe started to glimmer all the red, orange and yellows ever seen. And then with one burst of energy, she floated into the window, before quickly putting some red material down. The tav cheered as she waved down at them, and the tav (with the exclusion of Vibbie who took slightly longer) climbed up at a excited pace.
Everyone hugged Chloe. "I knew you could do it!" Smiled Ember.
"Really, because i had my doubts." Announced a voice.
The tav turns round.
"Oh my tav......"
To be continued.
