Ron could hear Hermione sobbing. Well not sobbing really, maybe crying softly. He turned around to see Hermione staring up at their bedroom ceiling. Tears were in her eyes, and Ron knew why. He was still mad, no furious, at that Healer for telling Hermione that the thought of having kids for her was impossible. Ron took Hermione and laid her on top of him, with her face facing his. ''I thought you were asleep.'' She whispered. ''Believe me Mione, I could never sleep with you crying like that.'' She put her head on his chest and started to cry more. He rubbed her back warmly, for he knew that something horrible had been said to Hermione. ''Look. I know the Healer said a baby of ours might have a slight chance of dying early but who cares? He didn't say we can't have one.'' Hermione started sobbing harder. Ron knew that he had said something that shouldn't have been mentioned, but he also knew that the only way she was going to feel better again was if they talked. ''I know. But the thought, of losing a child Ron, is just-'' ''Mental.'' He cut her off. ''But I guess we can try. I want to try. I'm absoulety sure.'' Her eyes were firm, and Ron knew no amount of coaxing could get her to change her mind.
--The Next Morning--
Ron sat at the kitchen table. Ron and Hermione, had indeed tried last night, and Ron was now waiting for Hermione. She was upstairs in the bathroom waiting to see if she was pregnant or not. She came down the stairs. Ron looked at her, and she stared back at him. ''Well?'' He asked. Ron had a bad feeling it was a no. If it was, then Hermione would start crying again, and Ron hated it when Hermione cried. Even the thought of her in pain made him want to kick himself. ''Ron.'' She held the tester out to him. ''Look at it.'' He took it from her hand, and looked down to see it. Before his eyes, was a plus sign. A plus sign. A plus sign! ''Mione!'' He got up and walked over to her, and flung his arms around her and picked her up. ''See? I knew that stupid Healer was wrong about us. I know, for sure, that we're going to have a perfect healthy baby.'' ''You don't know that for sure Ronald, neither of us do.'' ''Yes, I do. Hermione, I can feel it.'' She rolled her eyes. ''Ron, you can 'feel' everything. And besides, now we have to go to that 'Stupid Healer's Office.'' Ron let that information sink in. Of course. Wizarding Law stated that every pregnant woman had to go and see a healer whenever she was going to have a baby. ''Well, I guess we'll just go now.''
--Two Days Later, at the Healer's Office--
The Healer stood at the far edge of the room, rubbing his forehead. ''You didn't listen. I told you, what was going to happen, and you didn't listen. All I'm saying is, there's nothing St.Mungo's can do if it gets sick.'' Hermione still looked uncomfortable, but Ron heard something he didn't like. ''It? It? If you had a child...would you like someone calling your child 'it'?'' Ron stared coldly at the man. He looked bored, even tired. ''Look. All I'm saying is that it dosen't matter whether the child-'' He shot a look at at Ron-''Is going to be born or not. All I'm saying is, the child isn't going to live long.''
--10 Months Later--
Hermione and Ron had had their child a month ago. They had called her Rose. Rose Lilac Weasley. The most perfect name. She had Hermione's eyes. Her big, brown, gorgeous eyes. Everything about Rose was brillant. The fact that she ate almost anything, (Thanks to her father) and that she slept for hours (Thanks to her father again) and when she woke up, she wouldn't cry but make cute noise that sounded like mumbling. Ron wanted to laugh in that Healer's face too, for after she was born Ron and Hermione took Rose to another Wizarding Hospital and they had said that Rose seemed to be perfectly fine and live a normal, healthy, life. It was like Hermione had gone back to her old self again, not caring about their one and only child dying before she did, and all Ron and Hermione did was spend time with her. They sat with her sometimes all day, and watched her smile and laugh. Ron, was finally happy in a long, long time.
Epilogue:
Ron and Hermione did have one more child, A little boy they decided to name Hugo. He and Rose got along well, seeing as they came from two parents who absoulety loved each other. Both Rose and Hugo grew up healthy and strong!
Author's Note:
Please don't hate me for writing this. I see that I might get some hate for making Hermione not be able to have kids in the beginning, but I did put a happy ending! ...Was it happy enough? Hope so...don't want to dissapoint! Leave comments please, but if you hate, can you say it mildly please? Thank you :)
