Oh Im so glad you guys like this story! Okay well here we go! ENJOY!
"Alice?" I said peeking into her room. She was sitting on the bed with her back facing the door. I sighed and walked into the room closing the door slowly and quietly behind me.
"Alice, its not your fault." I said walking over to her and placing my hand on her shoulder. She turned her head in my direction and showed sorrow filled eyes. I frowned knowing this was affecting her more then any of us.
"Yes it is. If I wasn't looking for something with the girl I would have never seen that and Edward would still be here." She said hanging her head as she starred down at her hands that were folded in her lap.
"That's not true. Alice, you didn't know what you were going to find. You cant help that you see visions and you cant do anything about the fact that Edward can read minds. There are several ways this could have been prevented...but not for us. Alice its okay. We will get Edward to come back." I said in a stern tone.
"It is my fault though." Alice voiced cracked as she spoke. I shook my head.
"Stop saying that. He left because of, uh, the girl-" I said as I couldn't remember the girls name nor did I really care what it was.
"Bella" Alice corrected. I rolled my eyes and continued.
"Not because of you. Not because of you having a vision it was because he didn't want that vision to come true. It helped him Alice. Whatever he saw, it helped him...and Bella." I said. She nodded her head with a little smile but that smile quickly faded.
"It still doesn't matter. He left." She frowned and closed her eyes.
"I know Alice, but we are going to get him to come back. Cant you see that? Please look for it and know that it is going to happen." I said with a worried tone. She nodded her head but didn't close her eyes or anything that looked like she was looking for something.
"Please tell me you know its not your fault." I said in a stern tone.
Alice shook her head "I cant" She mumbled. I held in a growl and took in a deep breath calming myself so that I didn't slap her.
"Why cant you? Its true, and don't you dare say its not." I said through my teeth. She looked up at me with an apologetic smile and shrugged her shoulders.
"Alice." I said letting out a breath. "We will get Edward to come back. You know we will." I said removing my hand from her shoulder and walking out of the room. When I walked out into the hallway Jasper, and everyone else were standing at the end of it by the top of the stairs. I looked at Jasper and gestured with a jerk of my head to go in with Alice. He smiled and ran in the room.
"How is she?" Esme asked when I waled up to the group.
"She still thinks this is all her fault." I sighed. Emmett grabbed my hand and turned to Carlisle.
"What are we supposed to do about Edward?" Emmett asked. Carlisle sighed and looked like he was thinking of options.
"Go get him." Esme said sternly. I knew her cold still heart was 'broken'. She had already lost a son and because she thought of all of us as her children she wasnt going to lose another one. Carlisle shook his head slowly.
"We cant force him to come back." Carlisle said with an apologetic smile to her. She sighed and kept her gaze locked on him.
"Talk to him about coming back." She said then flowed gracefully down the stairs. Carlisle sighed and nodded his head.
"I guess we should at least try." He said looking at Emmett.
"It might help if you come too, Rose." Emmett said squeezing my hand. Me? He wanted me to go convince Edward to come back. Ya right, like that was going to work.
"I don't know." I said looking from Emmett to Carlisle.
"He is right. It might help." Carlisle agreed. I sighed and looked away from the both of them. I shrugged my shoulders then nodded my head.
"Fine." I said. Emmett smiled at me and brought my hand up to his lips kissing it sweetly.
"I think we should go in the morning." Carlisle suggested. Emmett nodded his head once with a smile. Carlisle smiled back and then went down the stairs following Esme into another room.
"I know you don't want to go, but it could really help get him to come back." He asked softly. I nodded my head looking down at my feet.
"He is about 30 miles away from the Alaskan border. Which means by morning he will be in Alaska and we might even need Alice to come with us to see where he is. Do you think you could talk her into coming with us?" He asked looking at me with pleading eyes. I turned my gaze down the hall towards Alice's room. I remembered how sad she looked and sighed.
"I will try, but Im not guaranteeing she will say yes...no matter how much I beg her." I said looking back at him. He nodded and kissed my cheek.
"A for effort." He said with a smile. I chuckled and rolled my eyes. He laughed and brought his lips to mine.
"Thank you, love." He said once we parted. I smiled in return and nodded my head.
