Hope you enjoy this chapter. Im kind of stuck on it so I hope I can get past that and make this a good chapter =S.
I was walking up the stairs slowly, I was going to try and convince Alice to come with us to get Edward back in about an hour or two. When I reached the stairs I looked down the hallway and saw Jasper walk out of the bedroom and smile at me as he shut the door behind him.
"It might take a lot to get her to go." He whispered as he approached me.
"What?" I asked sounding stupid.
"She knows your coming up to convince her to come with us. She still feels this is her fault and that Edward would want her to stay away." Jasper whispered even lower then before. I felt my mouth fall open as this shocked me. This wasn't Alice. Alice would be jumping up and down getting ready to go get her favorite brother back right this minute. She wouldn't let more time pass. This Alice was telling herself that Edward didn't want to see her? That he would want her to stay away? Not even Jasper could get her out of this...this, depression? Could vampires go into depression? I didn't know but we, er, I needed to convince her, some how, that Edward would want her to come. That he would want to see her. But how?
"Rosalie? Rose?" Jasper's frantic voice pulled me from my thoughts and back to 'earth'.
"Sorry, what?" I said soundly like I was still not paying attention.
"I said, go easy on her. Give her some time to process this." He whispered then walked past me down the stairs. I nodded my head and walked down to their bedroom.
I knocked on the door lightly before opening it and walking in slowly. Alice was sitting on the cushioned bench that was just beneath a large bay window.
"Alice, will you please come with us?" I begged hastily as I shuffled my feet over to her. She shook her head slowly.
"He wouldn't want to see me." She whispered as she starred out the window. The light from the morning sunrise just barely peeking over the mountain tops and trees to shine into the window. What light that did shine in hit her cheek bones making them sparkle faintly.
"Alice, please don't say that. You know thats not true. Please just come with us. We need you. Edward needs-" I was saying before she cut me off abruptly.
"Edward doesn't need me. Im the reason he is gone." She said through her teeth and with a glare towards me. I took a step back and calmed myself before I snapped at my very upset sister.
"Please come with us. We need you to help us find him. You don't have to confront him or even go near him if you don't want to, but we still need you." I said slowly with my eyes closed. I heard her sigh heavily and stand up from the bench. I opened my eyes and starred at her with pleading eyes.
"Im sorry, I cant help you." She sighed and walked past me to the door.
I stood where I was not turning around to face her. "You cant or you wont?" I snapped harshly. I heard her freeze at the now half way opened door. She stood there for a minute and I could feel her eyes on me. She growled quietly and with a sigh she left the room.
I sighed heavily and turned around so that I was facing the open door Alice had just excited from. She was so hurt by Edward's disconnection from the family and my harsh words hadn't made anything any better, probably worse. I knew Jasper would be up here in a minute to kill me for what I had just done. He had told me to go easy on her and let her process this, well what I had done was the complete opposite.
