It was now the summer season in the Mushroom Kingdom, where the residents usually took to the beaches or the pools in their home to keep cool and enjoy the hot weather. It was a good thing to do because a heatwave arrived a few days back and had been scorching the place with the intense heat, so methods needed to be taken to keep themselves cool.
Mario and Luigi was currently sunbathing in their garden, lying down on the tanning beds and relaxing as much as they could, enjoying the hot weather even though it had taken tolls on them in the past. Mario and Luigi had loads of free time on their hands thanks to stopping Bowser from capturing the Princess once more, and this time he had not struck back, mostly because of the hot weather.
As the two brothers sunbathed, they heard a small van in the distance approach the house the honk the horn once, but they ignored it believing it to be for one of the neighbours houses, although this was soon proven false when a faint knock on the door was heard, prompting Luigi to head up and get the door.
"I'm a coming!" shouted Luigi
Mario went back to sunbathing afterwards, enjoying the warmth of the sun shining down on his body as it felt really chilled and gave off a peaceful feeling. He was soon distracted again however when Luigi came back outside and got his attention.
"Luigi, what's a happening?" said Mario
"I think you're going to love this, Mario" replied Luigi
"Okay, well let's a hear it then"
Luigi proceeded to hand Mario a letter which had came through the mail. He then looked at the letter for a moment and started reading the contents, which soon bought a bright smile to his face in the process.
Dear Mario and Luigi
I want to say thank you for defending the Mushroom Kingdom and rescuing me and Daisy on occasions from the threats of Bowser and his enemies over the past few years, and even though it has grown really boring and stale the fact you two are still dedicated to protecting all of us makes me happy. I am inviting you two to a luxury private island of mine as a reward, where the beaches are wonderful and the best summer events happen there. I hope the two of you will enjoy this, and thank you once more.
Mario was really happy after reading this, and he looked back at Luigi who was overwhelmed with happiness himself and soon enough, the two brothers were hugging and having a drink in celebration.
I cannot believe it, this was a really nice of her!" said Mario
"I feel the same way too, Mario" replied Luigi
"I think we should start packing and get ready, because this is going to be fun!"
"Indeed, really looking forward to this now"
Both of them then had another drink before heading inside to get ready for the trip to the island, packing their belongings and whatever suitable items they needed to enjoy themselves. After spending most of the summer sunbathing, this sudden invitation was shaping up to be an enjoyable time in their lives.
The Mario brothers summer vacation was now beginning…
It took some time to get everything prepared, but after ordering a taxi to drive them to the meeting area Mario and Luigi soon found themselves down in the small shipping port down near the seaside village, where they would board a cruise ship which would take them to the private summer island.
As they approached the meeting spot, the brothers and plumbers could notice a few of their friends were there. Princess Peach was there with Princess Daisy and Yoshi, while Toad and Toadette were there too along with Donkey Kong and Wario as well.
"Hello there, really nice to see you all here!" said Mario happily
"It's nice seeing you too Mario, glad you were able to come" replied Peach/
Mario and Peach approached each other and kissed before entering a loving hug, since they were currently lovers and had enjoyed many romantic moments together. A noise was then heard and they both looked over, watching in amusement as Luigi ran into Daisy's arms and they both hugged each other tightly, both of them also lovers.
"Daisy, I missed you so much!" shouted Luigi
"I missed you as well Luigi, but we are finally together again!" replied Daisy
They continued hugging each other and eventually had a kiss before stopping as they were in front of the other people, leaving them blushing red with embarrassment while the others just laughed, especially Wario and Donkey Kong.
Mario eventually looked at the cruise ship and it completely amazed him. It appeared to be a private first-class cruise ship which was painted with a red coating and a blue mushroom on both sides, showing off the unique design and making this well-worth the experience in his eyes.
"I guess we should get going now then" said Mario
"All right everyone, it's time to leave!" announced Peach
After making that statement, all of the crew eventually boarded the cruise ship and soon they were setting sail to the private summer island, where all of them would soon be having the most wonderful time of their lives.
The journey there was certainly a relaxing one for them all, with the cruise ship offering plenty of entertainment from comfy bedrooms with giant televisions to the restaurant where there was loads of delicious food and refreshing drinks. Donkey Kong and Wario were busy chowing down on all of the food in the buffet while Mario and Luigi were watching television in the bedroom with Peach and Daisy. Toad and Toadette were outside on the front deck sunbathing while Yoshi was in the cruise ship's pool, having no time for waiting until they reached the summer island.
In the distance, a tall sailing ship could be seen cruising on the ocean with large sails and a nice figurehead on the bow. It was soon apparent that this vessel belonged to Bowser, since his emblem was seen painted onto the side of the boat and the koopa king could now be seen manning the wheel, a confident look on his face as he sailed the ocean with his crew of henchmen.
Bowser had nothing much to do since being defeated the last time, and the summer heat had made him and his army not feeling in the right state of mind, so they all decided to take a break too and sail the ocean in his private tall ship and they were all currently really enjoying themselves, ready to explore the vast sea more elsewhere.
"Let us all sail into the vast ocean and enjoy ourselves!" shouted Bowser
All of the crew cheered in agreement, and soon Bowser was steering the ship into the horizon to explore the ocean and find out what surprises would await them all. Over on the cruise ship, Yoshi noticed the tall ship sailing off in the distance but assumed it to be nothing and continued having fun in the pool.
It took about two hours, but finally the cruise ship arrived at the summer island, and it looked simply amazing from the view. It was a rather large island, with a golden beach full of crispy soft sand and a large forest full of bright green trees behind while there was a medium sized mansion spotted to the cliffside, which was going to be their residence.
As the crew looked at the island from the front of the cruise ship, they were left completely stunned in awe by how wonderful the island looked from their perspective. It was now obvious by the looks that they were all going to have a fun and memorable time there on the island, with themselves for company.
"I'm really loving how this island looks, too wonderful" said Toad
"It looks like the most romantic place, reserved for us!" said Toadette happily
Toad smiled in happiness after hearing that and then embraced his girlfriend with a warm loving hug, both of them looking at each other dreamily and then looking back to the island, enjoying the lovely view until it was cut short as Yoshi leaped back into the pool with Donkey Kong in hot pursuit, angry that he had stolen one of his precious bananas.
Mario and Luigi then walked out onto the deck while lightly laughing at the amusing scene which had happened before them, until they both took notice of the summer island in full view up close, and they were both mesmerised by how glorious it looked. A bright smile then formed on their faces, happy that they had reached their destination and were about to have a fabulous summer vacation.
"It's a time for the summer to begin!" shouted Mario happily
It took about thirty minutes for the cruise ship to navigate around the island and find the small ocean port, eventually managing to successfully dock there and soon Mario and his companions had disembarked the vessel and were now walking down the pier to the summer island, which looked even more wonderful from up close in their view.
After stopping for a moment at the end to take in their surroundings and look around the island, the crew noticed the beach mansion that they were staying in which was located down a path a few meters away, it sounded like a good walk for them.
"Okay everyone, the house is this way, let's go!" announced Peach
The walk there was a peaceful one, with the sun shining down over the large trees and the massive blue ocean in the background made for a relaxing scene. It was also rather funny since Yoshi gave Mario and Peach a ride down there with Donkey Kong following behind with Luigi and Daisy, leaving poor Wario, Toad and Toadette to spend the entire time walking and getting rather exhausted from the heat in the process.
All of them managed to each the beach mansion in time and it looked really incredible and fantastic from the outside and even more so inside, as there was a large kitchen combined with the living room, while upstairs there were very luxury bedrooms with comfy master beds and mounted televisions, like the bedrooms from the cruise ship except these was more advanced ones and the sliding door offered a nice view of the ocean from the bedside.
"I'm a enjoying this house, truly one of a kind" said Mario in delight
"It's a truly amazing experience for us, Mario" replied Luigi
Mario then looked back and could see Yoshi currently bouncing on the bed with a cute look of happiness all over his face, while Peach and Daisy were currently in the hallway chatting about their lives. He could tell by the looks on their faces that they were all very happy to be here. Meanwhile, Wario and Donkey Kong were currently lounging in the sitting room and eating some food they had bought along.
After getting comfortable in the summer house for a while, it was now time for all of them to have some fun and experience the beach and ocean together. Mario, Luigi and Yoshi were the first ones down there and they could see how beautiful it looked, with really soft golden sand and the deep blue ocean that looked amazing when sparkling in the sunlight.
"We're here boys, sorry to keep you waiting!" shouted Daisy
Mario and Luigi then turned around to see Peach and Daisy walking down in their swimsuits, with Toad and Toadette following behind them. Both of the brothers blushed red with embarrassment after seeing their respective girlfriends wearing their cute bikinis, showing off their beauty and charm.
"Peach, you look a fantastic in that swimsuit" said Mario
"Thank you Mario, I thought you would love it" replied Peach
"Oh wow…that really suits you Daisy…" whispered Luigi nervously
"Hehe, thank you Luigi" said Daisy happily
Daisy then hugged Luigi and kissed him on the cheek, causing the plumber to blush a deep shade of crimson and nearly faint due to the heat and his nervousness, although Daisy held him tight as she knew him well enough for that to even happen. Mario and Peach just watched the couple and chuckled a little, slightly amusing them both.
A few moments passed before the group then wondered where Wario and Donkey Kong was, before hearing the nearby trees rustle and looking to see Donkey Kong lounging on a makeshift hammock while eating a banana, apparently one never great with the intense summer heat. A loud splash was then heard in the ocean and there was Wario, riding his speedboat while laughing crazily all the way.
"Wahaha, this is a too fantastic!" shouted Wario
He continued to laugh while riding off into the distance, eventually disappearing from their sight as he went around to the other side of the island. All of the others then shrugged and decided to continue on as normal, the beach their primary focus.
All of them then rushed off into the ocean, eventually making contact with the water and enjoying the lovely cool feeling combined with the heat. Mario and Luigi swam around underwater together finding the sea life fascinating while Yoshi was busy splashing around the place while smiling brightly, having loads of fun.
Everyone had a great and enjoyable time at the beach and had managed to get various activities done. Toad and Toadette were currently swimming together a distance away from the main group, with Toad helping her out since she had some trouble swimming but she was currently doing good in his eyes.
Toadette then came to a stop near the rocks and smiled brightly at her boyfriend, a cute look of accomplishment present on her face which then prompted Toad to swim over and catch her in a hug, both of them laughing and giggling the entire way.
"You did great, Toadette!" complimented Toad
"Hehe, thank you!" replied Toadette
Meanwhile, Peach and Daisy were currently sunbathing together on an inflatable float bed, smiling happily while relaxing in the warm summer heat. It was unknown to them that Mario and Luigi were slowly swimming up beside them, and they both were planning something cunning and mischievous.
The brothers looked at each other and nodded in agreement, before suddenly grabbing onto the side of the float and using their strength to tip it over, leaving Peach and Daisy screaming as they were suddenly tossed over and splashed into the water, eventually emerging and looking at their boyfriends, who were now laughing their heads off.
"We got you both, that was too hilarious!" laughed Mario and Luigi
Peach and Daisy just stared at them in anger before a cunning smirk appeared on both of their faces, and soon they begun splashing them heavily with the water catching the brothers off guard and briefly fleeing before soon returning the favour, leading the couples to have a massive water splash fight which was fun and a little crazy.
Over to Yoshi, he was having fun swimming around by himself and occasionally splashing water everywhere for pure enjoyment. He then heard something which made him curious, but before he could react a large splash suddenly happened, engulfing him with water and after recovering he saw Donkey Kong standing right in front of him.
"DK! I wasn't sure if you going to come in the ocean or not" said Yoshi with surprise
"I was getting hot sitting over there in the trees, so I decided to cool myself down" replied Donkey Kong
"I think you made the right choice, the water feels so nice and refreshing!"
"I guess so, now let's have some fun!"
"Donkey Kong then grabbed Yoshi and placed him onto his back, before he started swimming around the ocean like a makeshift boat with Yoshi laughing with happiness like he was having the time of his life. DK was such a skilled swimmer that he managed to reach the other side of the island in only a minute, and when swimming back they both saw Wario, who was still riding around in his speedboat and clearly enjoying himself.
Over on the beach, Mario had now finished off the process of making a sandcastle that looked very similar to Peach's Castle, which she soon saw for herself and gave a thumbs up in approval to Mario, who only smiled while blushing in response. Luigi was still in the ocean having fun with Daisy while Toad and Toadette were sunbathing and snuggling up against each other cutely.
After a few hours of everyone enjoying themselves on the beach and in the ocean, it was time for them to have a break and chill out, especially since the sun started to go down. All of them were now lounging in the outside patio area of the summer house while enjoying some refreshments and food from a barbecue they were having.
"I must admit, today was a good day" said Mario
"I'm the same Mario, it was an enjoyable time" replied Luigi
"It was a lovely experience, really happy I made the decision to book this island" said Peach
"Indeed, it was a fantastic one!" replied Daisy
Mario then got up and walked over to the balcony so he could take a look at the view, and he saw a wonderful sight. The sun was setting over the horizon, leaving the sky a mixture of dark red and purple while the ocean was a dark blue as the waves splashed calmly against the beach and the rocks. It was a very nice sight for all of them.
He smiled in comfort and watched the summer sunset while taking a few sips from his glass of orange juice. Mario remained here for a few moments, with Luigi soon joining him in watching the nice view and both of them were soon relaxing in the comfort of the heat and casually drinking their juices.
Both of them eventually headed back to the others who were now sitting around the table and chatting about their lives and having a laugh while enjoying the tasty food. Mario grabbed his glass and refilled it with the orange juice before raising it above him, prompting the others to do the same with their drinks, and he then spoke.
"I hope everyone here has a great summer, here's to many more years of enjoyment!" shouted Mario

He then heard something which made him curious, but before he could react a large splash suddenly happened, engulfing him with water and after recovering he saw Donkey Kong standing right in front of him.
"DK! I wasn't sure if you going to come in the ocean or not" said Yoshi with surprise
"I was getting hot sitting over there in the trees, so I decided to cool myself down" replied Donkey Kong
"I think you made the right choice, the water feels so nice and refreshing!"
"I guess so, now let's have some fun!"
"Donkey Kong then grabbed Yoshi and placed him onto his back, before he started swimming around the ocean like a makeshift boat with Yoshi laughing with happiness like he was having the time of his life. DK was such a skilled swimmer that he managed to reach the other side of the island in only a minute, and when swimming back they both saw Wario, who was still riding around in his speedboat and clearly enjoying himself.
Over on the beach, Mario had now finished off the process of making a sandcastle that looked very similar to Peach's Castle, which she soon saw for herself and gave a thumbs up in approval to Mario, who only smiled while blushing in response. Luigi was still in the ocean having fun with Daisy while Toad and Toadette were sunbathing and snuggling up against each other cutely.
After a few hours of everyone enjoying themselves on the beach and in the ocean, it was time for them to have a break and chill out, especially since the sun started to go down. All of them were now lounging in the outside patio area of the summer house while enjoying some refreshments and food from a barbecue they were having.
"I must admit, today was a good day" said Mario
"I'm the same Mario, it was an enjoyable time" replied Luigi
"It was a lovely experience, really happy I made the decision to book this island" said Peach
"Indeed, it was a fantastic one!" replied Daisy
Mario then got up and walked over to the balcony so he could take a look at the view, and he saw a wonderful sight. The sun was setting over the horizon, leaving the sky a mixture of dark red and purple while the ocean was a dark blue as the waves splashed calmly against the beach and the rocks. It was a very nice sight for all of them.
He smiled in comfort and watched the summer sunset while taking a few sips from his glass of orange juice. Mario remained here for a few moments, with Luigi soon joining him in watching the nice view and both of them were soon relaxing in the comfort of the heat and casually drinking their juices.
Both of them eventually headed back to the others who were now sitting around the table and chatting about their lives and having a laugh while enjoying the tasty food. Mario grabbed his glass and refilled it with the orange juice before raising it above him, prompting the others to do the same with their drinks, and he then spoke.
"I hope everyone here has a great summer, here's to many more years of enjoyment!" shouted Mario
"Cheers!" replied the others
All of them tapped their glasses and went back to enjoying themselves and having a great time while enjoying the sunset and the warm summer heat. Summer was a very lovely season and many good things had happened to them on this vacation which had left them all happy and satisfied.
